I'm not a big fan of Draiman's vox myself, but he doesn't incite the sort of "turn that s**t off" revulsion that, say, Corey Taylor does. I'll also give them a little credit for not dressing up in eyeliner and girls' jeans like a lot of popular modern rock acts seem to enjoy doing. But for some reason I can't fully understand, I somehow enjoy KoRn and Jonathan Davis. Well, pre-SYotOS, anyway. confused

Most of the time, they're only popular cuz girls think they're cute. And I don't understand why I don't mind KoRn either. They're a weird case. neutral

Should I? I mean is there anything from them worth listening to, or do you guys just not hate them?

ScorchMaster16 I haven't really listened to KoRn to be honest. Should I? I mean is there anything from them worth listening to, or do you guys just not hate them? It's more a "not hate" thing than a "like" thing. I've downloaded a dozen or so tracks of their that I listen to on occasion, but I have no desire to buy a full album. As for what's worth hearing, well, let's see...their s/t and "Life is Peachy" don't really do much for me. A little bit too rappy for my taste, but they do have a somewhat disturbing, off-kilter atmosphere that's sort of missing from subsequent works. "Follow the Leader" is where they explode (the singles Freak on a Leash and Got the Life are on here). Not really my bag either. But then (at least I think so) they hit their prime with "Issues," "Untouchables," and "Take a Look in the Mirror." Did My Time, Somebody, Someone, and No One's There are some choice cuts from this era to try out. Anything after "Take a Look..." is disposable, in my opinion. Hope that helps.

I'm generally pretty leery of the bands that teenage girls like, but I kinda like KoRn. I think maybe it's because I started listening to them before I really got big into metal.
They put on a very good show live, imo
