It took Tahki a moment , or moments, to realize that Suzu was implying a mouse was right next to her. The little cub jumped up and backed away from the rodents.
The one mouse next to her squeaked and scurried away behind a rock.
"Ohhh..." Tahki gave a 'Im sorry' smile to Suzu. "H-how long have they been there?"
A third mouse, or rat, scurried its way into view, eyeing the two cubs. Was this some sort of challenge? Tahki took a paw step forward.
"Come one Suzu. Lets show these pip squeaks who's the queens of the jungle," Tahki extended her little baby claws.

Suzu chuckled as she shook her head, "long enough to have some entertainment watching you." She paused looking at the larger mouse, rat thing.... her tail flickered.
She blinked, "Aren't we suppose to be quite when 'hunting'?" She whispered over at Tahki with a soft chuckle as she laid down her stomach tail flickering and watching the mice, her ears perked curiously. As she started wiggling her hindquarters debating which mouse to try to tackle.

Tahki smiled at Suzu and nodded, "Lets get em," She took a paw step forward and the rat took a paw step forward. Was it seriously challenging her?
"Suzu, I think this critter thinks its a lion," She laughed turning her attention back to the rat looking thing. There was a glare in its eye, maybe it was a mouse just over sized? Was it protecting its family.
Tahki jumped toward the rat like mouse, only to find it scurried away to saftey. Oooof.

Suzu sighed and chuckled, "Tahki!!! You gotta treat it like a bug! You gotta sneak up on it! You can't just go RAWR! Pounce."
Her tail flickered again as she crawled on her tummy towards where it looked like the mice had gone. "Besides.... they're a bit smarter than bugs it'll take more effort." She nodded.
She'd learned something while pouncing on bugs trying to catch them.

Tahki watched Suzu for a moment and then copied her . She sunk real low one her belly and just watched. Honestly, she felt really silly on her belly like this but hey, if it got her a mouse she would be happy she tried it.
Okay, now to be sneaky. Tahki trained her eyes on her prey and crept closer and closer. So far so good. The cub stopped to give Suzu an impressed smile. Seemed she was right so far.
Closer and closer Tahki crawled, and giggled. The giggle sent the mouse running away. Doh! She forgot she was being sneaky.
There were more mice though. Tahki set after another one, keeping quiet this time.

Suzu wiggled her way carefully towards a mouse, pausing every so often stilling to watch it. Her tail flickered as she wiggled even closer.
When she got close enough she wiggled her hind hunches however Tahki giggled and the mice ran away. Suzu's ears fell softly as she looked for a new target.
She wiggled her way over to a new mouse. Stopping where the grass hid her just barely as green orbs watched the mice. She started wiggling her hunches again.

The mice seemed to be pretty stupid critters. They had twice been scared off by lion cubs but didn't bother hiding long. Tahki stalking one in the grass proved that.
The little mouse was cleaning its face , blissfully unaware that Tahki was just behind it about to stomp her paw down on top of the poor critter. A smile curled on the female cubs maw. It was hers now. No giggling or other disruptions.
Tahki launched her self and SMACK. The mouses tail was caught beneath her paw.
The blue cub smiled , proud of her self. Even her chest puffed out some. The mouse below her paw squeaked and tried to wiggle free. When that didn't work, it bit Tahki's paw and broke free.
AWWWWWWW!
Tahki didn't cry or wail, just cried out. A few small droplets of her own blood fell from the bite. She'd never been bitten by a mouse before. Ouch , that was not pleasant.
(Poor cub fails so bad x' D )

Suzu on the other hand managed to trap the mouse in between her two front paws. She looked over to Tahki noticing the blood on the cub's paw and frowning.
However she was blissfully unaware that the mouse was slipping away, until almost too late. She gave a soft gasp before grabbing it's tail and trying to hold it up in the air.
Her tail flickering, "Tahki" She whispered, "you okay?" Unfortunately for Suzu her idea wasn't quite fool proof. The mouse had managed to crawl onto her paw and was tugging it's tail from between toes. Once it managed to free it's tail it began to jump from her paw.
Suzu blinked before starting to try to catch it again with her paws.

Tahki licked at the bite mark. It was small and would probably heal pretty fast, but that didn't make it hurt any less.
"I'-I'm fine " She gave Suzu a smile, the bite mark had already stopped bleeding at the very least. That was a good sign right?
Tahki sat for a moment and watched as Suzu's mouse pulled a fast one on her as well. These mice really needed to be taught a lesson. Didn't they know they were in the company of two great explorers? Hmph.
Just as she was thinking to her self how ungrateful these mice were, one of them took a seat by her. It looked as if it was snickering. A game! This was all a game to them!
Tahki smacked her paw and ... caught it !? This time she was sure to keep her paw down on the entire mouse body so that it would not have a chance of escape.

Suzu finally managed to recapture the mouse that was playing hop frog on her paws, one side of her lips curled up like she was mad. Directing it towards the mouse who was again trying to escape.
"Stop moving, geeze...." She said to it. "Your game isn't fun anymore."
She looked over to Tahki, and pondered trying to scoot over on her hind paws while still holding the mouse. Looking back at the little creature giving t the snake eye. "... Now what do we do?" She asked Tahki when she was close enough, looking at the mice.
Her tail was flicking, normally they didn't move when her mother gave mice to her. She looked around and noticed the rest of the mice run off to hide.

Tahki lifted her paw up to view her mouse. The little thing laid motionless and eerily still. Just a moment ago it had been laughing at her and now here its body was so still.
Tahki blinked at it and pawed it, and the mouse did not move. Her putting all her weight on her paw had killed it.
"Guess.. we eat ?" She blinked at Suzu tilting her head. This was the first none insect the cub had ever killed . She wasn't sad, but it still felt strange.

Suzu looked at Tahki having lifted her paw up and noticed that the mouse was still. Her brow lofted and put hers down on the ground and curiously tried to do the same. However she was using two paws to make it still so that it wouldn't get away.
Her tail flickered when she pulled one paw up after a second and poked at the mouse. It too was still. Her tail flickered in thought, as her ear twitched, "Huhhhh, that's a funny way to make them be still."
She poked at it and her tummy rumbled again, "Oh yeah... eating!" Her tail flickered as she sniffed at the mouse, "Huh, you know though." She pauses as she was pulling the fur from the mouse 'cause she didn't like the taste of it, "Having someone else bring it to you... still seems like a better idea. The adults don't seem to have so much trouble."
She tilted her head towards Tahki, "You... okay?" Bugs were more fun to chase after and catch.

Tahki blinked and nodded grabbing her mouse by the tail and dangling it.
"Yeah of course, " She swallowed that mouse hole and smiled. She was so hungry and trying to catch those mice had really made her all that more hungry.
She was still a little hungry but not starving.
"I think it was worth it. This treasure." She chuckled. The cub really would need to work on her hunting skills. Lucky for her she wasn't a cub out on her own.

Suzu laughed and ate the mouse after having gotten the fur off. Her tail flickered as she swallowed. "Mmm...."
She sat down "The treasure was indeed worth it." She paused, "It was an interesting adventure too." She stretched and yawned. She was still hungry and looked around.
"Mm.... It looks like it might be getting a bit late." She said softly and looked up towards the bits of the sky that could be seen and noticed it was starting to get a bit dark.

The cub nodded, it was getting late. And she still was a tad hungry.
"Yeah, maybe we can play another day? And find more treasure," The cub gestured to the mice who were now being smart about the cubs. After watching the cubs eat their own.
"Well see you Suzu," Tahki smiled at her friend and started off back home.
