Now, to put it in the proper time of day (for me, anyway), こんばんは。
I'm actually taking Japanese… I took it as independent study this year, credit by exam. I feel proud of myself. 3nodding And yet, I also feel strangely not proud because pretty much everyone these days thinks they can speak Japanese, so actually knowing it doesn't really get me anywhere except irritated at the people who get it wrong… Arg. I'm sorry. I wish I took German.

I wish I could speak/write proper Japanese..! crying
I plan to learn it one day... but for now I'll just stick with the meager knowledge of the language that I have.
@Lus-cloud - Why 'kind of'..? It's the proper Maori greeting. I barely use it, but I hear it all the time here... as I should... I live in New Zealand after all. xd
