// What is it? //

[An RP with Amy D]

Ta'Ziyan walked slowly down the worn path of the southlands, his back to the pridelands and his mind back there as well. He wondered more about that now than his issues with 'them', and slowly he wished he could just stay there forever with the princess, the only one who seemed to care for him as a friend. Paw coming up to scratch his ear, he glanced around slowly and let out a shaky breath, at least with her he wasn't alone.

Nembari idly grazed, desperately trying to pluck as much gras from the ground as possible. It was a little drier here, but her family had insisted that they follow the rains, and had moved out with the entire herd. Ironically, all those stripes made Nembari dizzy at times and she preferred a little isolation.

Besides, she was fast young zebra, she could surely outrun a lion...

Ta'Ziyan continued his path as his heart rate sped and his fur stood on end, his eyes clouding and his head spinning. There it was again, that feeling of being watched that just sent an ache through his whole body, bones and all. A visable shiver running up his spine and down again, his tail fell to drag as his head lowered, ears perking to just have him go in a prowl through the grasses.

Stilling once more, he looked through a thick patch to see the long legs of a strange animal, one he had never caught sight of before, and suddenly he took a step back, not sure where to go as he wondered if the creature had already spotted him.

Nembari suddenly spat out her clump pf grass, watching with disgust as a beetle scuttled away from the partly chewed green pulp. Her face dropped, and let her tongue loll out as she made a fuss of the awful taste.

"Blech! Yuk!" she spat again and again, shaking her head about and pulling faces.

In the upraor, she hadn't heard the creature behind her, but she suddenly stood bolt straight. Here ears lifted high and her eyes wide.

She could smell something.

Jumping, Ta'Ziyan moved away from the grass where the opening was, and slowly padded around the clearing, trying not to be seen. Finally, he could see the head of the zebra, and just sped up. It seemed as if the other had caught his scent, and that was not a good thing at all. Heart racing and mind spinning faster than before, he tripped over his own paws and fell, letting out a small whine but pushing himself back up and staying still, breathing labored. Did that other catch him?

There it was. She'd finally heard what she could smell, and jerked her head vicously fast towards where Ta'Ziyan had tripped over himself. As her glassy brown eyes saw his tawny fur, her instinct told her to run.

But her curiosity told her to stay and wait for any sign of danger first. Afterall, he smelled more frightened than ferocious. As he got back to his paws, Nembari took a cautious jump backwards, keeping her distance just in case he was a lure and there was a mommy or daddy waiting somewhere nearby.

Seeing her catch him, he jumped and just spun, rushing off and away as his heart hammered and he wanted nothing more than to just hide.

// Look at your eyes //

[An RP with Chemicalstar]

South, farther south than even the rolling hills of where the lands started, stood a lioness against the breeze, her eyes glancing around in confusion as she tried to just imagine why she was there. For weeks, she had been exploring the lands, and strangely enough, there was no sign of any other lions in that time. Lucky for her chance at silence, Tisha steadly made her way back to the populated part of the Southlands, her ears flat as her taller form seemed to walk smoothly at it's set pace. Smiling to herself, she just made her way to a small wateringhole, bending to gently lap at the cool waters as she let the sun warm her tense muscles.

The pink cub yawned and pawed the ground, letting out her nails. She got up and gave out a soft purring sound with happiness. The sun was warm, she stomach was full. What else could she want? Well, water. She wanted water, she was thirsty. Looking around, she realized that she had wandered off a little too far while looking for food the evening before. She had to find water...

She suddenly rememebered seeing a water pond on her way from the Southlands, and she trotted in that direction. She did not think she would meet any lion on her way because basically most of the were taking an afternoon nap in this hour, so she was very surprised when she saw a white lioness a few feets ahead of her when she left the jungle.

Lifting up her maw and licking her lips as the liquid tried to drip from her lips. Tail swining back and forth, Tisha smiled once more as she was satisfied from her journey and her discovery, before her ears suddenly perked and her eyes narrowed. Turning to look over her shoulder, she sniffed the air and turned fully, eyes settling down upon the lone cub that was in front of her.

Carefully, Tisha studied this new figure, head tilted slightly as her eyes roamed over the soft pink markings, intrested. Letting her facination take a hold of her for a moment longer, she than turned her head away and looked to her reflection in the water, eying the thicker markings as she waited for the cub's next movement. Would come to the watering hole, Tisha had no clue as she glanced over her shoulder once more.

Kizuka was cautious. She did not trust strangers easily... She slowly approached the interesting lioness with white fur and black markings.. and a white eye? She never saw an eye like hers. When she came right in front of the lioness, she stopped and tilted her head rather innocently. This lioness was standing on the shore of a water pond, and since she was there first, maybe she did not want to share her discovery with anyone. She had been there, lived that before.
"May I share your water?" she asked, simple, plain but respectful.

Eyes widening only slightly, she was surprised to say the least when the younger cub seemed to just walk straight up to her, starring into what she assumed was her white eye before Tisha simply shook her head and raised her browline. Strange, she could only think as she stepped back lightly and felt her hair fall into her eyes, shadowing them as they became lidded with slight frustration after something, though she had no clue what. So deep in wonderment, she almost missed the small cub's voice, but soon just paused as she tried to collect her thougths. Being unsocial had gotten to her a bit.

"Hmm? Share my water?" She glanced to the water before turning back and shrugging, letting out a soft snort, "It isn't mine kid, so go ahead." her voice was soft, but still as she spoke she turned a bit and padded a few yards away, yawning and stretching.

The pink cub blinked confusedly. She expected the lioness' answer to be "Get lost" or "Do not pollute my water" but instead, she let her drink. She bent down and drank water in big gulps. Then listed her head up, water running down the white fur, she thanked the strange white lioness, and sat on the ground. She was afraid to cross her boundaries or to be rude, but she just couldn't keep the question isndie any longer "You right eye.. is white???"
She then blushed because she sounded really rude "I am sorry if it sounded rude, but I didn't mean to" she added. "I just have never seen a lion like yourself!" The truth was, she had not seen many lions at all...

Having been cleaning her soft fur, the elder lioness looked up with her bi-colored eyes silently, blinking them once before grinning a toothy grin.

"Of course one of my eyes is white..." She said softly, turning her head slowly to show off a little more of the white eye, drenched in a lining of black as she flicked her ears and looked to the grasses, the wind playing with them as she sniffed once after. These lands seemed always alive, strangely enough.

Turning her head away from the small cub before a responce could be heard, Tisha caught the sound of a new russling, one from the movement of paws. Narrowing thoes same two eyes, she just turned to send a hopefully look of silence before her head lowered and she stalked to the grasses. Who was out there now?

The cub nodded . It was starnge, a white eye... But she had pink paws! So nothing was really impossible... She lay down beside the lioness and swished her tail to get rid of those annoying bugs.
Turning her head to get a bit at the flies, she suddenly saw another cub approaching them He was black with golden patterns on his back. She.. she remembered this cub, they had met before.. but where and when she did not know. she gave this cub a welcomeing smile and then resumed her batteled with flies, slowly chasing them away.

Turning away slowly, Tisha missed it when the cub left, her eyes just trained to the other new cub who she just caught the scent.

// Stalker //

As the suns of the southlands slowly arose, Tisha found herself still traveling across the grasses, her muscles aching and her eyes straining as she spent the night wandering. With no idea why, she had been unable to rest and at that one moment, she suddenly regreted it. Every step caused an ache to shake her bones, her paws slipping slightly enough to make her catch the weight that wished to rock.

"What did I do to deserve this?" She asked herself softly, head bowed as her bi-colored eyes searched the ground in front of her. There were very few shadows in the grasslands, and she did not smell any waterhole close by, so she was only left to wander, to spend her waking moments searching for an unseen answer.

A few yards away, a dark force seemed to prowl through the grasses, sharp blue eyes peering out at the adolescent he had been stalking. The lion was quite large, clearly an adult in his prime, as his dark fur helped him blend in the shadows. His pelt, though dark raven in color, held spot-like markings of pure white on his foreshoulders and at the lower half of his hind legs. His toes were dipped in the same white color, and his tail had white rings. On his back, slash-like marks crossed eachother as they seemed to fall from his pure white mane. His ear, with white tips, had a soft color of aqua-blue fur in the ears. A strange rogue indeed, he seemed to take a keen intrest in Tisha as she walked, eyes narrowed and body in a prowl.

Tisha had no idea that someone was following her, being that she was traveling upwind and only left her scent to be tracked, and slowly she moved on, the heat of the day starting to build and tire her out further. Her mind seemed to spin and she felt a stumble come on, and her paws finally fell down to have her body collapse. Growling to herself, her ears fell flat upon her head, and she took only a few moments to catch herself before standing and moving on once more, her shadow gone.

// Get off of ME! //

[An RP with Remove]

As the breeze caught his fur, Ta'Ziyan found himself creating a shiver that brushed up and down his spine, curling around to pull his neck hairs on end. The wound in his ear seemed to just be healing nicly, and it did not bother him anymore except for the ocassional knats that bit back there. Feeling one creep up once more, he flickered his ear and sat down, batting at the small appendage as a yawn left his mouth. It was than he let his eyes dart around the small clearing, the grasses moving up lowly to his underbelly as his mind seemed to ask, who was out there.

He was a strange lion indeed for thoes thoughts, always believing eyes were watching him, eyes that only he could see. It was like his very own sixth sence, one that told him of his make-believe creatures and when they were around, haunting him. Sadly, it made him a hard person to make friends with, always jumpy and sky, self concious and anti-social. Though after awhile, when he did make thoes friends he was better. But now, he was sitting there alone, and with every sound, he couldn't help but jump. Today was just one of thoes days.

The little cub had been wandering again, one day she would be punished for that but for now she had made it close to the pridelands, strange. She didn't exactly care though as she was much of a free spirit as she got what she wanted nearly all the time, the little bossy girl. Now however her small paws stumbled across a piece of silver on a black thread, how it got to where it was she had no idea but either way she managed to slip it over her head and find some water to look at her reflection. The silver shone nicely in the sun light boosting her ego a little more.

Maybe she was being stupid but her eyes suddenly flickered to the side, was someone there? She tore her beautiful eyes away from her stunning reflection to look for something, or someone, or whatever it was. Her ears perked up and her tail swaying behind her she watched the male cub as he did whatever he was doing, she didn't care too much, though he was male.

Shifting a bit as he sat there, he raised his chin just slightly to get a better view above the grass, and stood slowly to pad advertantly at the ground. Someone was there, he could all but feel their eyes upon his form until suddenly, he caught sight of her. Another cub, one the same size like himself, only the color of the sky on a dull summer day, her fur the shade of the clouds above. It did not make her seem boring, in fact, she caught his attention pretty well, that and the fact that she was starring at him.

Catching the breath he didn't know he had lost, he just stepped back a moment, turning his gaze away when he realized he was starring and trying to ignore the urge to run.

'Stop it!' he mentall told himself, 'You aren't weak like that...' As sad as it sounded, the last time he ran, he realized that. Running was a weakness and everytime he did, he got hurt.

She watched a little more before curiosity took over and she ran over to the other cub with a huge smile on her face. At last another cub to push around, all good there then!

As she reached him she slowed down, her head tilted slightly to one side, "Hello there! I am Ithibati though most call me Ithi!" She smiled, her eyes glittering along with the silver around her necklace. This was strange and different he seemed weird. She was probably just dreaming or soemthing she was female and better then him as obviously being female is better!

Blinking, his head suddenly shot to where she was, his eyes studying her form as she was right in front of him. When had she gotten there so quickly, he was slightly stunned and couldn't say anything, only subject to listen to her speak.

Once her name was given, he just swallowed, and adverted his eyes, she seemed just too...glowing, as if she knew she was better than him, though he believed it himself, but as he looked back to her through his short lashes, he tentitivly spoke out.

"Ta'Ziyan..."

Ithi looked at him and smiled, "Cute name" she lied. she didn't think much of names at all but hey it might make him less nervous or aggitated or whatever it is that he was. He definatly wasn't totally with it that was for sure. "What you doing around here?" She was curious though she would just meerly show off when it came to her saying why she was out and about.

Shifting, he shook his head a moment at the name comment, and avoided her eyes once more. He was always like that, and usually people seemed to just stare at him more. They did notice he hated it, but alas they didn't care, and somehow he wished he was brave enough to yell at them. Like that would happen.

"I..." He started, slowly getting his breath ready as the unconcious longwinded-ness came on once more, "I am searching for my friend, who I lost this morning, but now I seem to have lost myself...I always do that, I don't know where anyone is anymore..." Pausing there, he blushed.

He was just getting started.

She looked at him curiously not actually interested in a word he said and her body language made it show. Her eyes were darting over her surroundings and she kept moving to make sure the sun light was hiting her necklace. It shone and made her look even more beautiful. She then decided washingher paw would be incredibly interesting so did that, well it wasn't interesting but unless this cub would say something interesting she had to do something to stay awake.

Watching her suddenly grow distracted, Ta'ziyan blushed slightly to himself and moved a step back. Her not showing any intrest in him made him selfconcious, and suddenly he just wanted to leave the area. Everything seemed to be getting smaller, and he felt so trapped all of a sudden, though he didn't know why. Taking another step back, he turned and moved towards the grasses, pausing on the edge to catch his breath as his slightly lanky stature seemed to need this.

This other cub seemed to...weird to be friends. He couldn't put it any other way, she just rubbed the wrong way on him, as if she expected him right away to bend akwards to do everything for her.

She watched him turn and a little snarl appeared in her throat as she "playfully" pounced him, "Hey where you going?" She had by now expected a long answer mainly from the last one but she wasn't that bothered, no one just turned their back on her, it wasn't right especially if they were male because they were to worship her as they were the lower of species and all.

Feeling her weight suddenly on his body, he let out a hiss before rolling to his stomach, her somewhat pinning him as his eyes just narrowed, though they were not cold yet.

"Get off me!" He said in a rush, his paws moving to roll so he moved her suddenly off of him and jumped to his feet. Glaring this time, he just eyed her warily, not answering her question just yet as he continued, "It is none of your business!"

She looked at him and wa rather confused at how rude this thing was being, "Look mister, your male so stupid I aint. Your suppose to look up to us and I am probably alot stronger then you if I am younger or not, there is nothing of you!" She was becoming just ever so slightly mean now. "It is my buisness as I am allowed to know everything I want." She got her claws out ready to swipe him if need be, her legs tensed as if to do anything else. She was ready, he couldn't go anywhere.

Just standing there, tense, he eyed her younger form with a slight detestment before glancing to her claws. So she was willing to attack him, because he was about to run, it was starting to prove his theory once more. Looking back to her eyes, he frowned, snorted, and spun around.

"Follow me if you must." He stated simply, "Though you won't know where I am going until I get there, for I do not even know where I am going until I find myself at my destination." Stilling a moment, he moved into the grasses.

She smiled. She had an excuse if she got caught by her mother or anyone else. It was all prefectly made up, she would just blame him as he forced her into following and doing what he said. She was harsh it was true and very much wickid. She had a reason to go somewhere now and ooo she would be her little mean self and flirty oh yes she would flirt with this poor unsuspecting victim because that is all he was, a victim to her clutches just like most others would be.

// Endless Games //

[An RP with ~Masamune~]

Looking around, Tisha wondered to herself just what she was doing in the graveyard at that moment. She did not seem to wish to meet up with Ausha, and overall she felt as if it was suddenly a mistake, the bones calling to her yet making her want to turn away. Letting out an invoulntary shiver, she stood from where she had been sitting and pawed at thr ground, glancing around quickly now to see if anyone else was around.

Seeing a slight movement in the distance, Majinuni rolled on to his stomach and tilted his head to the left as he peered out over the Graveyard. His bright yellow eyes flickered before he let out a playfully giggle. "Oh my, are you lost?" He called out towards whatever was moving. Hopefully, it would be some sort of prey. If it bolted, it certainly was prey, and he would enjoy chasing the poor creature until it was all tired out.

Turning her head, she just glared at the shape which seemed to just talk out to her. Shifting she raised her chin, "No, sorry, I am not lost. I know right where I am." Saying that and leaving it there, she moved her paws away, muscles tence as she headed towards the borders, her intent to just keep away from whatever seemed to feel as if they ruled the place. One thing was for sure, that voice was not Ausha's.

"Aww, are you sure?" Majinuni's ears flattened against his head, hoping that at any moment the prey would make a run for it. Noticing only slow and subtle movements from whatever had called back, he let out a groan. "What a shame..." He mumbled to himself, before standing up and stretching where he stood, digging his front claws into the skull only to rake them back towards his body, causing an ear-piercing squeaking sound. Chuckling at the 'music' he had made, he walked around in a circle on top of the large skull. "Well, if you're not lost, do you mind telling me exactly what you're doing here?"

"Actually yes, I do." She hissed out, continuing away and not really liking that smug creature that seemed to call to her. That noise he created caused her to hiss out, but nothing more as she just continued to pad away, before she paused and turned.

"Wait a second, who do you think you are?" Moving quickly along, she stalked back towards where the strange creature was.

"Who am I? Who can say? I certainly cannot..." The cub spoke with a calm and steely tone that seemed far beyond his years as he continued to tease the approaching light grey creature. Curious, he stepped towards the edge of the big skull, trying to get a better look. "Ohhh, I see you now..." Grinning, bearing a set of sharp fangs that were stained with blood, he continued to watch the lioness come closer.

"Well..." She said sharply, "You must at least know your name?" She seemed a little wary with her decision at that moment and just sat down, licking her paw elegantly and sighing to herself. As she looked around she set her paw down.

"Where is Ausha?"

"My name is Majinuni..." Taking a mock bow, Majinuni was starting to feel glad that this lioness hadn't been prey, because having fun with some prey may not have lasted this long. "And who might you be, hmm?" Having watched the lioness sit down a safe short away, the cub lay down, chuckling randomly as he did so.

"Ausha?" He licked his gums, considering this name for a moment. "Ausha is...that way..." The cub lifted a paw and motioned towards the East. Towards where he knew the hyenas lived. "Why don't you pay Ausha a visit ?" Majinuni had never met Ausha in his life, but couldn't resist passing up an oppertunity to decieve this stranger.

Standing, she just eyed the weird one before turning to where he pointed. Deciding it couldn't hurt, she soon started to walk that way, not even giving a thanks as she made her path towards where she assumed Ausha was. No one would be able to live there without knowing Ausha, she just knew it. As she walked, she felt a strange nagging in her mind, and turned to look at the small one, "Show me the way." She grinned.

"Oh, but I thought you said you weren't lost?" Although he didn't fear the hyenas, he thought that they may give him more 'fun' than he could handle. Again he chuckled, rolling on to his side so he could watch the lioness more comfortably. "And you never did tell me your name...perhaps I should just call you...Lost..." There was a hint of sarcasm in his melodic voice as he said that, and his light chuckle turned into a full on laugh.

Shifting, she just glared fully at him, before turning away, "Call me what you wish." Knowing this thing was only playing with her, she just let him feel good about himself for the time. Waiting a few seconds longer, she added, "Now lets go, I am not letting you out of this until you prove to me that Ausha is up that way."

"Very well..." Remaining where he lay on his side, Majinuni stretched his front paws forwards whilst using his back paws to push himself over the rounded edge of the skull, letting himself simply slip off it. He landed lightly on his pads, but caused a couple of loud cracks along with the sound of bones shattering. Peering down at his paws, he giggled to himself, before making his way over to the nameless lioness. "Hmmm..." The cub walked quickly ahead of the lioness. "You don't look very fast at all..."

Glaring to him, she moved to where he stood to move a paw between his shoulderblades. Pushing him ahead with a slight hiss, she just sniffed lightly.

"Look, as soon as you show me where Ausha is, we both can seperate and not see eachother again."

Jumping forward as he was pushed, Majinuni giggled and shook his head. "Lost, Lost, Lost..." Slowly at first, he began to walk ahead, moving easily across the jagged, un-even bed of bones. Then he began to move faster, putting more of a spring into his back legs. The small chuckle that had started as he began to speed up got louder and louder as he went faster and faster, taking larger leaps as he ran. Holding his head back as he ran, he laughed out loud. "I prefer the short cut!" With that, he quickly bolted left, and had soon ran from the lioness' sight

// Ack! A Ghost //

[An RP with Lethrossen]

Walking through the tall grasses, Ta'Ziyan had no idea that he was nearing the border of the Pridelands, his eyes downcast as he tried to figure out just what to do. The southlands were surprisingly quite at that time of day, so it left plenty of room for his mind to wander, and wander it did. Every so oftin, as the breeze played with his fur, he would just and just look around sharply, glaring at the shadows before his pace picked up once again with a tense stance. At the moment, all that he wished to do was really just rest, but alas he had to keep moving, resting was not an option when his nightmares haunted him so.

Denge mewed softly as she rolled and tossed, snuggled into the first and dead grass of the savanna. After a moment she woke, panting and a bit surprised looking. She was somewhat near the pride boarders, not too far away.

She stretched and moved to her feet, looking cautiously about. She began to run, paws hitting against the ground in a dull, thudding noise. That had been a bad dream, but not unbarable.

Ears suddenly perked, Ta'Ziyan stilled as his whole body tensed, the sound of padding feet keying into another lion coming close. Turning his head high, he sniffed lightly into the dry air before swallowing, his throat suddenly becoming dry. Moving his weight lightly from left to right, he just walked closer to the grasses, trying to get a good look at what could be coming towards the area, or at least if it was a lion he reconized so he could tell if it was trouble.

Denge was slowing, sides heaving. She was a bit dizzy, but that was probably from hunger. She wasn't unused to hunger pains, every rogue knew about them and learned to live with them.

She didn't seem to see Ta'ziyan at all, and if she kept going she was going to collide with him. She was still oblivious to scenting others, and sometimes even hearing them. Poor, slow-witted Denge.

Seeing the small lioness moving towards him, Ta'Ziyan seemed to just blink as she had no idea he was there, or so it seemed from her ignoring him. Moving a step to the right, he just let out a breath, as if trying to say something, and waited for her to see him, his ears flat. It was weird, usually others scented him as they got closer, but this one did not, and slowly, he just tilted his head to study her while he got the chance. As soon as she would have gotten about three feet away, still unknowing, he called to her.

"...Er..." It was a start to words, and he quickly cleared his throat, "...hello?" Feeling heat rise to his cheeks, he started to understand why he was always beaten up as a cub.

Denge's eyes finally registered the other when he moved to the right, and more so when she heard the word from him. She squealed and stumbled to a stop, staring at him for a good few moments, eyes wide.

A ghost! A ghoul..! Something that could turn invisable! It must be, that's why she hadn't seen it! "D..Don't ea..eat me.." She said, looking absolutely terrified. She tended to let her imagination run wild.

Letting out a wide eyed stare back, he just shook his head and moved one more step back, his tail swinging back and forth as his heart seemed to slow down to the regular speed.

"...Eat you? I dont eat lions...I usually dont eat much anything really...I dont get why you would think I would eat you..." Looking up towards her, he seemed a little meek, and his voice was soft and confused as he wondered where she got the whole idea of him being like that.

He wasn't going to eat her, then? A grin split her maw and she gave a small hop, coming closer to him. "Oh, that's good then.. I just thought that ghosts liked eating lions.. but you must be a nice ghost annnd.. OH I'm Denge! What should I call you? Do ghosts have names?" Oh gosh, what a mouthful to spit out in one sentance. Obviously her energy for talking would never fail her.

Raising one paw up as if he were about to run off, he just stared at her with wild eyes, wide and covered with the same fog that always lied in thoes debths. Blinking, he let his jaw open up before he sputtered out a few sentences, avoiding her eyes as he glanced around.

"Ghost, I am not a-" Stilling, he swallowed, "How could you think I was a ghost? I am not a ghost..." Shaking his head, he tried to show her he wasn't by his actions and words, before he let his voice fall to a whisper, "My name is Ta'Ziyan."

"Not a ghost?" She said, sounding confused. Oh! Well if he wasn't a ghost he must be a normal lion.. She guessed she really should stop jumping to conclusions right away.. but what fun was that? "Ta'ziyan?" The name flowed awkwardly past her maw, foreign as it was. "I'm Denge!" She sounded cheerful enough, but that was just Denge's way.

"So you aren't a ghost.. how did you appear like that! That was amazing.. are you magical?" Her brows shot up, waiting for an answer.

Shifting akwardly as she realized he was not a ghost, he just took in her name and mentally stored it in his mind for later, tail waving back and forth as his paws itched to run away. Someone who thought he was a ghost could not be good company.

"I was...here the whole time..." He said with an adverted gaze, looking to the side and not putting out any other answer while his eyes were to the ground. It was hard to think of being social, when he felt the eyes trace down his neck, his hairs standing on end.

She blinked head tilting the other way. "The whole time, really? Wow that's amazing! I must have missed you then.. I do that sometimes. Hey do you know where we are?" She didn't realize how awkward he was behaving, as if he was about to dash away from her. Who could blame him though? Denge was.. bad company in a way. Too talkitive and very dim-witted, not to mention gullible.

He glanced around, before looking finally to her as she asked the question. In all truths, he had no idea where they were, just that they were close to where his closest friend seemed to always live. Though he knew that answer was good enough for him, he really didn't think she would understand, so instead he gave another answer, that seemed more percise without that fact.

"...You guess is as good as mine..." He said shyly, looking away after a moment to just let his tail flop to the ground.

She nodded slowly. "Oh, hmm. Well I don't even know what to guess! I don't really know the names of places.. you aren't too talkitive, you know that? Just like most of my other friends. Though I did have one friend.. he told really good stories! I haven't seen him in a long time though.. oh well, maybe out paths will gross again. He escaped a zombie-lion once.. or something like that! It was a magnificent retelling of what happened.." She began to hum a little, getting distracted by a dargonfly buzzing past.

Just blinking at her, Ta'Ziyan felt thew ugre to chuckle at the irony of it all. Shaking his head a bit, he just tried to keep the strange laughter away from his mouth. Shaking his head, even he knew that he was known for talking with long sentences, longwinded and never ending as he just went on and on. However, thoes who could say that are thoes who talked to him a lot, and meeting new lions was a different thing altogether.

"Eh..." Watching her get distracted, he just blinked.

Denge hummed a bit, looking back to him. She sighed softly, humming slowing and finally stopping. Weren't there any friendly, talkitive lions in this lands? Ones that didn't care about how clean their fur was.. or what they were talking about.. ones who'd go on adventures with her?

His lack of responses left her being quiet and just staring at him.

Feeling her eyes on him, he just quickly glanced to her before moving his paws, and slowly he spoke up, looking to her fully though not right into her eyes.

"....if...you are heading to the north, I am as well, though you can feel free to go anywhere else, just is that..." Taking a deep breath, he grinning, though slowly, "...I think someone is up there that is waiting for me...a close friend." His eyes glazing over, he thought about his friend, and how she was one of the few who had made an effort to be friends with him, when many others did not.

She blinked, glancing over her shoulder. She wondered if he had x-ray vision, the way he was staring. That would be so cool! She wished she had x-ray vision.

"North?" She sounded confused once again, she had no head for directions. "Um.. im just going anywhere! A friend! Oooh can I meet her, do you think? I like making new friends! We could go together right? I mean i love going new places! And then maybe both of you could play games with me!" She was on her feet in moments, prancing around him.

Shifting, he just looked to her, unsure of what to say, before he just nodded slowly with his answer, "I am sure she would like to meet you...but I need to find her first...I have searched for weeks, though dont get me wrong it is all worth it, I erm..." Letting out a breath, he just grinned lightly, before shifting, "...I could find her and than bring her to see you!" He said with a slight cheer, trying to get caught up with her energy, but soon his ears perked. Shaking his head, he glanced to her, before speaking out.

"I...I shall do just that!" With that he turned on his heels, running off into the grasses with a soft goodbye, he was running late in his searches.

// Are you mute or something //

[An RP with Ary Keeyara]

Adanna trudged along through the dry grasses just outside of the Pride Lands, her ears pulled back slightly. Her auburn eyes were half closed and her movements were sluggish. A irratating rumble coarsed through her belly and she growled at herself, "I know! But I can't find anything to eat!" She let out a frustrated groan and flopped forward onto the ground, her paws spread out before and behind her.

She stared at the dirt for a moment feeling discouraged. She hadn't eaten anything in a long while...well...she had eaten a bug here and there, but she hadn't had a good meal since she had be seperated from her father and brothers. She let out a breath through her nose and closed her eyes, just deciding to lay there for a while.

Padding at a quick pace away from the watering hole, Ta'Ziyan was looking for that familiar scent that was his friend's. He knew she lived somewhere around the lands, though he had no idea where he was. The Pridelands were not something he knew about at all. Instead, he was more worried about his fears and the other things that lurked around while he had his back turned. Other lions that attacked him, and were hunting him, he only knew of one other that was his friend, and even than he had lost her.

Hearing a rustle a few yards away in the grasses, his ears perked and his eyes narrowed. Fur standing on end, he shivered and pawed at the dirt, wondering what it could be. Though he was still a cub, he had grown a bit and his bravery had grown as well, but many not as much as he thought.

"What's there?" He whispered to himself, senses searching to catch the scent of another cub not that far away.

Adanna's ears twitched as she heard a voice and her eyes slid open. Hearing the question, the fur above her eyes furrowed. Rolling over onto her back and shutting her eyes again she replied loud enough to be heard and rather sharply, "Don't you mean who? What is rather rude, ya know." A blade of grass now rested near her nose in her new position, causing her to sneeze and stir the grasses slightly. She rubbed her nose with her paw, as though it would get rid of the itch she had felt a moment ago.

Shivering, he did not realize that he had spoken so loud and his ears perked, looking around sharply to see if anyone else had been around as well. Stilling his approach, he just lowered his head and prayed that this wouldn't be another cub like the other one. Learning early off that appearences were deciving, he knew that even cubs could harm him, and he had a scar on his ear to prove that point. Stilling fully than, he just tried to calm his breathing before a russle caused him to turn with a jump and gasp, backing away from the sound and feeling his back paw step out of the grass.

Adanna rolled over again, pushing herself on all fours and shaking her fur. Once the dust and grass had settled she turned her gaze toward the cub not far away, her ears slowly pulling forward. She blinked, seeing his jumpy attitude. "What's wrong with you?" she asked dully, seeming a little confused by his behavior...and a little annoyed at it as well. Not another thing she didn't understand! Where was her father when she needed him? To explain stuff like this to her? But then again...she didn't need him! Not if he was going to up and leave her like he must have done.

Had he not be so surprised and afriad when she first spoke to him, he would have snapped back to her, but instead all he did was jump again and just stare at her with wide eyes, mouth shut. Nails digging into the dirt, his ears flattened and he tried to pull his eyes away, but he was frozen. Soon enough, he looked to the ground and swallowed, his throat dry. Had he drank water before, maybe he might have been able to say something, but he found nothing but friction.

Slowly, he felt his heart slow and air smoothly fill his lungs, and he glanced back towards her.

Adanna just stared at him with half open eyes, looking rather bored. One of her ears was pulled to the side, the other remaining forward. She was silent for a long while, giving him time to say something...but apparently he didn't. Wow, wasn't he a boat load of excitement. She squinted at him, as though trying to see something she hadn't before. "Are you mute or something...?" she questioned skeptically.

"Mute?" He whispered hoarsly, before his eyes narrowed, "...no...no I am not." Raising his head momentarily, he just let out a dull hiss, nothing more and nothing less as his fur stood on end once again. He had no idea what this cub was, but clearly she wanted nothing to do with him. Feeling a little hurt at that idea, almost everyone felt that way towards him and didn't bother to try and be warm to him, and just turned his head away to move across the small clearing, using it as a cut through and trying to ignore her.

Adanna's ears perked as he spoke and she grinned a little. Finally! A frustrated frown soon replaced it as he began to walk away. What? Now he was leaving? Ugggg that was no fun! She bounded after him, her displeasure at his leaving very apparent, "Where are you going?" Why was he leaving in the middle of a conversation?

Stilling his steps as she followed, his shoulders tensed and he looked to her with sharp eyes, thoughtful and attentive. Sniffing lightly, he found words leaving his lips, though he had no idea where he got the strength to do so.

"I am going off to explore and find my friend, she has been away for a long time and I am worried about her, because she is my friend...and I need to see her..." Feeling the same sence of long-windedness that always was connected to his speaking, he tried to stop but still more ideas came out he needed to say. Maybe it was this trait that caused him to always be attacked, though sometimes it is also the idea of him being too paranoid.

"She is somewhere around here, I always see her in this area and I know she has to be here now...Who are you?" His eyes narrowed in suspision suddenly.

Adanna tilted her head slightly to the side as she listened. So...he was lost? Well...not exactly, but close enough! "I'm lost too...well...seperated with who I'm supposed to be with too. My brothers and father left me...and I can't find them..." Her nose wrinkled in thought...she didn't seem too sad by being away from them...just frustrated. Her ears perked quickly again and she said, "I'm Adanna! What's your name?"

Shifting, he wondered just what she was doing, pushing him to make conversation when she thought he was mute before. What were her intentions, he could only wonder silently as she continued on until she finally answered his question with her name. Adanna, he had to admit, it was a nice name, most lioness' had nice names around here, and while he mused he missed her question completly, though he came out a moment later to see her starring at him.

Taking a moment to figure out why she was looking at him and waiting, "Oh...most call me Ta'Ziyan, though I guess everyone calls me that because no one gave me a nick name...so I am Ta'Ziyan."

She cocked her head again. "Ta'Ziyan...Ta'Ziyan..." She murmured, seeming to test the name on her tongue. It was fun to say, that was for sure, but it was rather long. She grinned at him, seeming to be over her irratated mood, "That's a cool name! But you should have a nick name! They're lots of fun! Like my father would call me Anna..." She trailed off for a moment only to pick up again, "You should get one. Like...Ta..or Zi...Yan or something!"

Shaking his head, he turned fully to her but tried to relax just a bit.

"People try to give me nick names, but they always end up just using my full name because it is long, but no one can get a short name out of it without it seeming to be akward to say." Taking a deep breath, he felt the air fill his lungs and just smiled to himself, eyes lidded softly. Letting his tail just slide back and forth lazly, and looked to her, "What do you wish for me to call you?" He asked with a soft respect.

"Anna's good," she told him with a nod, having been used to the name since her father had used it so often. Besides, it was a whole syllable shorter. That's a plus, right? She smiled at him, the tuft of her tail flickering in a swish upward, "Can I call you Ziyan? It doesn't seem too far off from your name...and it's not stupid sounding or anything. It sounds cool." She supposed if he really wanted she could use his full name...but that made things seem so stiff...and she didn't like that.

Nodding slowly, he took in her name and blinked at the one she gave him. Nodding slowly in acceptance, he suddenly stilled and turned sharply, gasping at the same rustle, "Did you hear that?" He asked with a shiver, moving back a bit from the bushes and trying to stay back, and moving to look at her, "Keep away from the bushes, something is hiding there..." Moving his voice to a whisper, he tried to gently nudge her away, "...I think it is one of them..."

"What's them?" She questioned, a little too loudly. Her ears perked forward and grin crossed her maw. Maybe it was something she could eat! She bent down, ready to prowl, "Come on! Let's pounce on it!" She had yet to have a bad experience with another lion...or predator for that matter, so she didn't really fear what could be in there. Perhaps that was foolish, but she didn't know any better.

"No..." he said quickly, shaking his head and moving farther away from the rustling as his eyes clouded over. His shivering causing the hair to move on end at on his neck. Watching her seem to just jump into action he couldn't help but feel foolish, but usually his senses never proved him wrong.

Sitting there and watching her, he was just silent as his eyes turned downcast.

Adanna stopped her prowling at the sight of his fear. She frowned, pulling herself from the ground moving over to stand next to him, "Hey...what's wrong?" The question was almost the same as what she had asked but a few minutes ago, but this time it was out of concern. Why was he so afraid of rustling bushes? It was probably a bird or a mouse or something...right?

Shaking his head, he just moved a little farther away and dipped his head in a bow to hide his fear, ashamed. Here he was trying to be the brave and male one, but instead he was shuffling away in fear.

"Nothing...it is nothing..." He said softly, trying to put on a small smile as he looked back up, his eyes still looking over her shoulder and towards where the sound was.

Adanna shifted her gaze from the male cub to the bushes. The muscles above her eyes knitted together and she felt her ears go flat as she glared at the bushes. Without preparation and acting upon an angry impulse, she bounded toward the source of the rustling, hissing and making small, weak attempts at roaring before she jumped onto whatever it was hiding there, "Stop scaring my friend!"

The shuffling suddenly stopped before a loud squak was heard and about three large birds flew out of the grass, their feathers seemingly black as the shadows covered their forms. Ta'Ziyan felt his breath catch as he realized they were watching him the whole time, and his mouth dropped open.

"It...it was them!" he hissed out, stuttering and shivering, "...they were watching me again..." Feeling his paws give out, he tried to keep his balance but settled on his stomach, ears flat and face set in stone as he tried not to say anything more. He had no idea if the other heard him this time, but he had said it in nothing more than a breath.

Adanna shook her head clear from the sound and swirl of air from the flapping wings. Blinking her auburn eyes, she looked back to see him seeming more distressed then before. She frowned, "Hey...what do you mean watching? They were just some birds...are you ok?" She was confused and concerned at why he was so scared of everything...she didn't understand and he wasn't really explaining.

Shifting his weight while he was lying there, he just looked away from her searching gaze as he tried to catch himself, not realizing until just than that his bravery had flown away with thoes birds. Moving to stand on shakey limbs, he looked to the sky to see only dark shadows trailing off into the distance, his gaze clouded.

"I..." He trailed off, always he was either filled or at a loss of words, and right than he had lost them, "I...dont know..." Looking to her, he couldn't find a way to beg her to just stop asking, becuase at that moment he knew no answers.

Adanna gave him a long, critical look before glancing away and scuffing at the dirt with her paw, "Ehhh....well I'll just pounce on them sooner next time." If he didn't want to tell her...well that was fine, but that didn't mean she'd start ignoring it. She just wouldn't ask about it. She loped lightly back over to him, giving him an encouraging nudge, "Wanna go get a drink or something...?" What she really wanted to do was a play a game...but she didn't want to ask if he wasn't up for it.

Looking up to her as she nudged him, his eyes were lidded and his mouth was clenched, but still he seemed to slowly gain a smile. She wanted to go and get a drink, and he had to admit he wsa very thirsty. Pawing at the ground, he nodded.

"I am very thirsty...do you know where there is some water?" Maybe after they could do something, or he could rest, but she was welcoming him and he was glad for the friendship.

Adanna's ears twitched thoughtfully. She remembered seeing water not long ago..now just where had it been again? Her tail swished as she though and suddenly her ears snapped forward, "Ohhh! I remember!" She grinned, "Come on...it's this way! And it's not far!" She bounded off in the opposite direction he had been wandering before, past the spot where she had slumped into the grass. She paused to wait for him when she was a few feet away.

Moving after her at a slower pace, his slightly larger body caused him to be slower than the female in front. Glad that she was going to show him where water was, he could already taste the cool liquid in his mouth, and quickening, he followed after her.

"That is good...water shouldn't be too far in these lands..." He said that from expirence, water seem to be everywhere.

Adanna nodded as she walked, glancing back at him at times while they went. "Yeah...it's soooo great! Where I'm from there isn't much water at all...so when you find some you always remember where it is...exactly how far away from where you are and everything, cause otherwise you might not find any more water for a looooong time," She told him, remembering spending time with her father and brothers. Her father had always told them to remember where the water was. At first it had been hard...but then it became a habit.

"I always just smell for it...and look for it because there is always grass around where water is..." He seemed to have calmed down, his heart slow and steady as well as his breathing as he followed her at a relaxed pace, "...So usually it only takes a little time to find them..." Realizing he wasn't talking as long as he usually did, he just decided it might be the lull in his fear that calmed him. Sniffing, he did smell the water as they got closer, and the art felt thicker as well, though hardly noticable. He couldn't quite prove the idea, because like a lot of things, it could just be all in his head.

"Yeah, smelling works too, but if the wind is really strong sometimes sand can get in your nose! Ewwww!" Adanna shook her head, wrinking her nose at the memory. She had always hated that feeling...but here, near the pridelands, it seemed to be less of a problem. Finally she raced forward as water came into view, "Yeah! I remembered where it was!"

Seeing the water, Ta'Ziyan bounded after her and raced towards the edge, his face all but falling to the edge as he hungerly lapped the cool liquid. It felt so good against the harsh dry state of his throat, and soon he lifted his head as water dripped from his smiling maw.

"I didn't know how much I missed this water until just now..." He said with a boyish grin.

Adanna slid her tongue from her mouth to catch the water for a drink. It's cool, slick feeling scent pleasant shivers downher spine. She was careful to lick her maw as she went, not wanting to waste a drop. She grinned at him when she took a break to catch her breath, "Yeah...it's like...no matter how many times I have it it always is amazing! Father used to say it was our life's blood...whatever that is..."

"No matter what it is, it still makes me feel better after I drink it, and I can never grow tired of it, life blood or not..." Grinning, he finally stepped away from the edge of the water to just stretch his tight muscles, glancing to her for a moment silently as he thought over the most recent events that had just taken place. It was strange, him making another friend, and he dimly noted that most were cubs around him. Hoping soon enough that maybe it would mean that they would grow into good friends as time went on, he could only picture them leaving him for a second. All of his new friends only talked to him once or twise, and he felt a little put off at that, but slowly he forced a small smile.

Finishing up her drink, Adanna licked her mouth clean of the liquid and turned a side-long glance toward her new friend. "Hey..." she began thoughtfully, "We're both looking for...well someone right? Why don't we look together? It's no fun being alone!" She had always been around energetic and playful brothers and had never been left alone before, so this thought was natural to her. She couldn't really understand a need for solitude some people might have.

Blinking at her words and exclaimation, he just tilted his head as his breath came out a little haphazardly. Shaking it off, he glanced towards the cloudy sky and smiled shyly.

"I guess we could travel together, though I am looking for my friend Kami...but..." Trailing off, he smiled suddenly, eyes landing on her, "Why dont you come along, and meet her? Kami needs more friends, and I know you would like her!" He seemed suddenly excited by this, and proved it by bouncing to her side.

Meet another cub? Well...she didn't have anything against it, though she really needed to find her family again. Her tail flickered to the side as she rolled her shoulders in a cat-like shrug, "Sure, why not? Probably be pretty fun." She flashed him a grin, happy at his show of enthusiasm! It was hard to think not long ago he had been skiddish and jumpy.

"Well, I have to look for her, but if you don't wish to look, we can always find you as well afterwards, I am sure now that I have your scent it will work, or so I am hoping..." Trailing off with a small grin, he just thought about Kami for a moment, and felt excitement run through his bones. Though, Anna also was something he thought about, and she too caused him to become excited. He had made another friend.

Anna looked thoughtful for a moment, her nose wrinkling slightly as she did so. Finally she looked at him carefully before breaking into a small grin, "Promise we'll meet again? No matter what?" Her ears pulled forward and she stood up, peering at him and waiting for an answer. No, waiting for a promise meant to be kept.

Tilting his head at her antics, his small mouth broke into an even smaller smile, before he glanced away in a suddenly shy manor. His paws shifting lightly in anticipation of seeing his friend, he nodded once before he voiced what he just acted out.

"I promise...I dont think I could really forget a friend like you..." It was a childish comment, but he meant it as he looked to her with shining eyes, clouded and yet bright as well.

Apparently this had been exactly what she had wanted to hear, no matter how childish or silly it may have seem. She smiled genuenlly(sp?) and took a few steps forward to nuzzle him with fierce affection, followed by a playful n** on the ear. She then jumped backward and began to dart off, heading out of the pridelands, calling over her shoulder, "Good luck finding your friend! I'll see you again soon!" Or at least, it was her hope that they would meet again.

Watching her go, Ta'Ziyan just blinked before her paws moved away, towards the large rock that floated in the distance as if it called to him. Kami had to be close, and once he found her, he would come back to find his friends once again.

// Runako //

It had been ages since Tisha last found a source of water, or so it appeared in her mind. Though her heart beat softly in her pelt, she felt the sounds pushing through her ears as she quickly rushed towards a towering bush of grass.

"Uh..." She groaned as her paws fell from under her, and she could only pant softly before looking up to the sun.

"You know...you could suffer from stroke...though I don't know why the gods would make one pass on who is as beautiful as yourself..." A smooth voice spoke up, a towering raven lion padding up towards the bushes. He grined towards Tisha before sitting next to her, his royal blue eyes watching her form as he await for her next move, tail moving slowly in the damp heat.

Tisha felt unbidden heat rise to her features as the handsome male approached her form, her eyes drawn to his own before she turned away quickly.

"I am merely taking a quick rest...nothing more..." Eying him once more, she pushed her shaking paws up to stand and padded past him, brushing his fur and feeling a light tingle down her spine.

Quickly following her, he could easily tell from her stance that she was getting annoyed, but used his taller form to keep up evenly until he was at her side once more.

"I meant what I said...you are quite pretty...I see you around this place oftin..." He let out a soft purr and move in front of her, eying her wide eyes a moment before nudging her to the right, "There is water this way...maybe after we can talk?"

She stilled a moment as he moved her, before smiling to herself, "Sure...I would like that...thank you...?" She trailed off, awaiting for his name as he flashed that heart-stopping grin.

"It is Runako."

// Hills and Bushes and Caves, Oh MY //

[An RP with Andrani]

It was early afternoon as the sun rolled about above the lands, the sky filled with soft clouds at the shadows cooled the area considerably. The winds brushed across the soft grasses of the hills as the aound sent a peaceful tone about, and already one lioness was feeling relaxation set in. Thourally pleased with the way the pridelands became crisper as she headed towards the mountains, she was glad to just be away from any territory that was claimed by a pride. Tisha knew that prides were very dominating when it came to lands, and she did not wish to get caught when in the end she could easily get killed, or worse be forced into slavery.

Padding down towards what looked to be a cave, Tisha stilled her steps and raised her head, the winds falling across her fur and sending a tickling sensation down her spine. Blinking her bi-colored eyes, she easily let a sigh slip from her lips and flicked her tail, just taking in the scent of the breeze.

Creamy-lemon-toed paws stepped carefully over rocks. An orange shape moved amid the surprisingly green grasses, following the scent of a rabbit as well as many springs. After his encounter with the pale lioness, Amalthea, Danzi had wanted to explore futher. Not the desperate travel of his cubhood, but more... Know the borders of the Pridelands. And his paws had taken him up into the hills, even though the scent of the border was long gone. A new scent blew to him on the wind and he halted, sniffing. It smelled like another lioness... His ears flicked forward before he tried to blow his black bangs out of his face.

Pawing at the ground idly, Tisha continued down the small hill as the curve made her pace speed only slightly, and she finished her decent with a slight trot. Slowly moving towards the cave now, she just blinked her eyes once more and lowered her head, shoulderblades tense as she sniffed inside. Though she was sure there was no one around, she still had to be tense, who knows what could be inside. Finding nothing but the strong scent of moss, she moved back a few steps and turned away, not really in the mood to just rest at that moment.

Finally getting his hair out of his face, Danzi looked around before spying something... Grey amid the green. Slowly, he moved closer, deep green eyes dancing slightly. Who was this lioness...? He had to find out! Curiosity told him to.

Shifting lightly, she moved away from the cave only to freeze, her muscles tensing and her ears perked. Eyes narrowing moments later, she simply looked around with quick movements as her tail swung back and forth.

"Who is there?" She called out in an colder voice, letting her emotionless side break in as she wondered if it was a scout lion from that pride that lived here. Feeling a chill at the thought, she took a step back and just tried to keep her breathing normal. How had they caught her?

Paws slowing a bit, orange ears flipped forward. "Danzi..." Okay, that didn't help much, but at least it was a start. A name... "Who're you?"

Stunned that he gave a name, Tisha just looked at him with wide eyes as he moved out, narrowing them soon after as suspision grew. Why would anyone tell their name right away, and she decided that it had to be a trick, to gain her trust and give her a false sence of security.

"Danzi..." Testing the name, she didnt say her own as she just starred at him with her bi-colored eyes once more.

The orange male stopped, tilting his head as amusement played across his face. "Unless you're orange and didn't tell me, and have a past filled with heartache, I doubt your name's the same as mine, nor would it mean 'bitter orange', so most likely, you sound like a parrot..." He chuckled a bit. "And what's your name? Come on, you can tell me..."

Growling lightly, she simply just turned her head at his joking banter, and moved to walk away to the right, passing him without a second glance and hoping she wouldn't get stopped by him. Moving faster, she thought to herself for a moment as she felt the winds once again against her fur.

He blinked, then looked after her. "Was it something I said...?" Shaking his head, the adolescent turned and went after the female. "Hey, wait up, I'm sorry!"

Stilling as he called and rushed after her, she justed turned her paws around and moved to face him, looking him over and sniffing the air. Catching that one sent, she looked away and just said softly.

"What do you want? I know you are from a pride...I can smell it on your fur...look, if you are going to yell at me for being in these lands, I was just about to leave..." Finishing that, she took a step back once more.

Slowing to a walk, Danzi shook his head. "I'm not in a pride right now. I've just been exploring the borders of the Pridelands near by. Besides, the borders are down below, not up here in the hills." He shrugged. "I was just wondering what brings you up here into the hills, is all..."

Just narrowing her eyes in through at the way he responded, she took a deep breath and observed the scent more thoughtfully this time, getting the smell below that of the pridelands. Shifting, she moved to paw at the ground and spoke as well.

"I am also wandering..." she said softly.

The adolescent chuckled. "Then we're two birds from the same bush, I suppose..." He sat down, a smile still on his face. "So where're you from? Me, I'm from an oasis out far beyond the Firekin lands. I came here as a cub, and I've yet to leave... I guess I'm here to stay." He stretched out, then lay down, watching the lioness.

Snorting at his comment of them being the same, she just stood once more and glanced around, "Look..." Trailing off, she swallowed her next words and shivered slightly as she glanced over his form. Not saying anything else she just tried to think what to say, and eyed him.

"So you don't belong to a pride...?" She asked finally, still not convinced.

He shook his head. "Nope. But I want to join one..." He glanced toward the Pridelands. "My mother always told me, my father was from a pride in this area... She never specified which pride, though..." He sighed, then looked back at the lioness. "I guess you're not from one, though, eh?"

"Is it that obvious?" She asked him with a blink, believing his tale as she moved a step closer, getting a better look at who he was, "But...you did smell like the one closest by, the Pride that has lands that seem more prosperous than any others around..." She bowed her head in a bit of an apoligy. Keeping her head bowed she mumbed out softly.

"I am Tisha, by the way..."

"Well, if you were from a pride, you'd not be afraid, would you..?" He shifted, rolling onto his back. "Nice to meet you, Tisha!" He smiled a bit more. Really, he wasn't a threatening lion. The biggest thing he'd harmed was a rabbit, and that had been for food...

"A-Afraid?" Blinking to him, she padded, or more like stomped towards his form. Looking down at him, she narrowed her eyes as her hair fell into them. Taking a deep breath, she let out a snort, "Look....Danzi was it? I was not afraid, I was being smart-" Biting her words back in, she left it at that and moved a step away to sit, not saying why she felt it was wise to be so paranoid while in the pridelands.

The male rolled back over. "Smart against what? This is a nice pride, the one Mufasa leads.. They've accepted many rogues, including a former Firekin, from what I hear... Now the Firekin are something to fear, they take slaves, I've heard... But I've never met them, and heard of no prides like them, so..." He stretched out before grinning lazily. "I can protect you, if you want.."

"Prides that are nice...?" She asked silently to herself, listening to him with intrest as he spoke of firekins now, and just widening her eyes. Stepping back, she felt her muscles tense as she heard his last comment, and all she could do was just let her jaw drop open.

"Protect me? But why, you dont know me?" She said, starring at him as if he had another head.

He nodded. "Not all prides are like the Firekin." He paused, watching her. "Yes, protect you. Because, hey, a lioness shouldn't be outside the boundaries of a good pride alone, should she? She needs someone to keep her safe..." He got up, going over to her to sit closer. "There's lions much bigger than me out there, and they might not be as nice." He let out a small laugh. "I wouldn't hurt a bug, and only attack other animals to eat, mostly rabbits, the occasional larger animal..."

She watched him get closer and just took a small breath, tilting her head, "Well...it really hasn't been a problem because I have been alone since I was young...and no one has really attacked me..." She suddenly considered herself lucky. He was right, and she knew it, because most cubs when alone were atacked and even eaten, and she surprisingly hadn't been. Looking to her paws, she just took a moment to treasure her luck.

Danzi nodded. "Yeah.. Even after I met my adoptive mother, I've still spent a lot of time alone, and I'm surprised I've yet to run into an adult male..." He sighed a bit. "It makes me wonder if there's ANY adult males out there that aren't in a pride at all..."

Nodding, she glanced to him once more, "Yeah, I never really see anyone except for lions that are younger...and even than there are few out there...I guess...well it just makes you wonder how many lions are really out there." Smiling to him for the first time since she met him, Tisha felt more relaxed now, and just enjoyed getting to talk to another after so many weeks of traveling alone.

He nodded more, then looked up at the sky. "It also makes one wonder, how many does death claim before adulthood...? Or how many are hiding away? There are so few adults that are rogues, it's amazing there's any rogues at all..." He let out a slight sigh.

"It is probably because everyone is joining or making a pride now a days..." Saying that comment softly, she looked up and to the sky a moment before shaking her head lightly and moving to knudge him with her nose, "So, Danzi, I take it you know your way around right?" She asked hopefully.

He smiled softly. "Yes, I know my way around... Well, mostly... I have yet to explore the borders of the lands to the east, and I still have to finish exploring the borders of the Pridelands, but everything past the Elephant Graveyard and in the Southlands..." He nodded. "I know that area well."

Pulling back, she nodded with a small smile, "Alright...than you do not know this place...correct?" She asked once more, her smile falling as her idea seemed to just deflate. Wondering if he knew where some good hunting grounds were as well as a wateringhole was, she figured now that he was just as clueless as her. Even if she hardly knew him, if he knew where food was she would willingly join his side to find it.

A grin grew across Danzi's face. "Of course I know where water is! If you smell around, the hills are full of springs. I think most of them are in caves. But I know where a spring-fed water hole is." He puffed up, looking a bit proud. "Found it on my own, no other lions visit it. But we could always explore the caves and follow our noses. I'm sure there's something in there somewhere."

Nodding, she moved another step as he stood up and puffed, her eyes showing the small glimmer of a grin as she kept it clear of her face. "Well...I am sure if there is a spring around I could easily find it, so there is no need for you to go out of your way to help." She said in a respectful tone, more or less looking around as she once again spotted the cave not so far away. Turning, she said softly, "I guess I could try the cave..." And looked back to him, wondering to invite him along or to let him go off to where he was heading before.

The male rose up, following the female a bit. "Well, can't let you go into that cave all alone, can I? Who knows what's in there!" He went toward the cave, tail flicking lightly. "After all, if you slipped and fell, who would help you up?" He offered a soft, gentle smile. Oh, if looks could kill with kindness...

Looking to him as he spoke, she felt a small shy smile slipping across her lips as well. Thinking his reasoning was something a bit strange, she had to admit anyways that it did make sense and she was caught.

"Alright, lets go on in..." She said after him, following his footsteps as he somehow took the lead, and just wondering what to think of this new lion, besides if she could consider him a friend or not.

Going over to the cave entrance, Danzi carefully sniffed around it, trying to detect any signs of life. For all they knew, it was inhabbited by a hyena or badger, and neither was a good prospect to meet. Finding no signs of life big enough to pose a threat, he edged carefully inside, eyes adjusting to the dim light. "Careful, there's a slight slope in here..." Moving carefully, his paws sank into the dirt of the cave.

Shifting and pausing at the entrance, she seemed a little more tentitive than him as she waited for him to stay in for a moment before she too followed. Blinking a few times as she walked in, she got used to the lighting but only a little too late. Hearing his warning, she was about to ask him when the slope started when her paw found it first. At first thought, she assumed it was just soft dirt, but soon her whole front paw slid and she felt a yelp raise from her throat. Sliding, one paw first, she fell down until she hit the bottom of the slope, hissing to herself and looking at her paws.

"Oh...that slope..." She mumbled with a feeling of foolishness.

Almost as soon as he heard the yelp, Danzi felt Tisha collide with him. He let out his own yelp as they tumbled to the bottom, ending up being under her at the bottom. "It's okay... You alright?" He glanced up at her.

Quickly moving away from where she was on his body, she felt the warmth of his form leave where it had been and be replaced by the cool cave air. Shivering, she cringed as her paw touched the ground under her weight, lifting it quickly and just trying not to say anything as she looked to him, "I...I think I am..are you alright?" She felt bad suddenly for landing on him, and shifted to look him over, trying to see if she had done any harm to his form, "I am sorry..." She whispered to him after a moment. Setting her paw down lightly this time, she tried to make it seem as if nothing was wrong as she hoped he wouldn't notice.

The adolescent male got up. "It's okay, so long as you're alright." He noticed the slight favoring of her paw, a frown taking over. "You sure you're alright? That looks like it hurts..." He nodded at the paw. He wouldn't admit to his own scrapes and bruises, at least not yet. Besides, they were just minor compared to a broken bone or sprained joint, which could spell death in the right - Or wrong - conditions and scenarios. Worry filled his dark green orbs a bit as he sat down.

"Im fine." She snapped lightly, turning her head away and moving to walk. She knew it was bad to walk on it when it was as painful as it appeared to be, but she would not let him see her pain. She felt foolish as it was, and just slipping and hurting her paw made her shame seem to grow. Embarassed fully now, she was glad he could not see her cringe in the darkness as she took a step, but she hid it as well as she could. Tail swinging back and forth, she looked over to him once more, seeing him sit down.

"Shall we go further, or are you intrested in going back?" She asked softly.

His frown deepend a bit, almost making him look like a whole other lion. "You don't look fine. I say we find the water, and you stay put while I get you something." He got up, going over and offering his body to lean on. "If you're hurt, you shouldn't hide it. It's nothing to be ashamed of... It's something to worry about being permanent..." Yup, still merrily ignoring his scrapes and bruises!

Narrowing her eyes with a stubborn gleam, she just let her hair fall into the bi-colored orbs before she moved to take a step. Paw touching the ground, she let out a sharp hiss and lifted it, just looking at the wounded paw before glancing back to where he was right next to her. It seemed to take her a long moment to decide what to do, before she sighed and took up his offer. Body leaning against his, she murmered a soft wording of thanks before nodding slowly, "Though we have yet to see if you are hurt as well..." She told him with a breeze, not needing to speak too loudly as they were right next to eachother now as well as the cave seemed to echo their voices.

The male nodded as she leaned, bracing to support her weight. "No problem... And my wounds? Just scratches and bruises, I'll get over them..." He smiled warmly. "You know, I could escort you back to my water hole... It'd be a great place for you to relax, with water near by..." His eyes wandered around before he spied a trickling spring, filling a small pond before spilling over into a small stream that ran through the cave. "Or... You can stay right here... Think you can make it to that water leaning on me like this?"

Groaning, she just glanced at him with a small smile before pushing away from his weight and onto her own, wounded paw held up lightly. Hobbling slowly towards the stream, she settled down when she was a few yards away and just grinned, "I made it, did I not?" She asked playfully, proud she was able to walk, or hop, without assistance, though it was a stupid idea on her part. Glancing to him, she just blinked before letting out a cheerful thanks.

He let out a chuckle, then went over. "As long as you're alright... Now, you stay here, I'll go get you something to eat, then..." He sighed a bit. "I have to go visit the Pridelands and talk to Mufasa. If I get into the pride, I'll come back and get you..." He smiled at her. "How's that sound...?"

Just looking to him, she felt a heat rise to her cheeks at his thoughtfullness, feeling a little weak at the moment. Nodding mutly she just smiled, and spoke softly.

"Good luck, I do hope you make it..." Smiling even brighter, she added, "Though you wont need it, I am sure you will get it right away..." Shifting, she just looked to him before waving him off with her good paw, "Now go, I will be fine..."

The orange one nodded, then turned and headed out of the cave, heading along the ridge of the mountains while seeking out something to bring Tisha. He barely knew her and he was helping her... He didn't know why, he just felt it in his heart that he needed to.

// A bedtime story //

It was nearing sunset when Miremba found herself walking silently towards her den, twin soft eyes of ice blue falling upon the watchful forms of her children. It took only a few moments for her to make way and curl around them, her light coat blending well with her speckled children. All of them quickly curled closer, and she could only smile lightly are she quickly brushed her nose across each one by her forepaws, having not said a word yet. But alas, they all knew what was coming, for Miremba made it a point to tell soft tales in their light ears as they fell into their slumbers.

"Now that you are all settled...shall we get along with this?" She asked in a soft voice, having just a moment to close her maw before soft excited barks arose from the pups in front of her, "Alright alright, calm down my little ones and we shall get going...for this is a special story about a beautiful goddess, Nantale." She let her tail slide across the stone ground as she waited for them to squirm against eachother a moment longer, and than to settle in, before she looked up and let her gaze wander. As she always did, while she spoke of tales, she would let her eyes play the images, and mearly would explain what was going on to the children before her.

"Long ago, the first female goddess was created by the stars, and grew to obtain unmatched beaty by any other. Her name was Nantale, and in only a week she grew into the adult she was meant to be. Reigning over the lands, she helped bring life to the world, and created hope and peace as the stars watched down. However, soon enough she grew worn with being the only one who was to create, and thus decided to create offspring, to help her in he journies and creations. She had two children, young twins. Naming them Bale and Bitalo, they soon became the lights of the worlds, the Sun and the Moon." Taking a moment for a breath, she let the pause linger in the air, and just smiled under the attention that was placed upon her and her words.

"However, upon the earth was a dark creature, one that envied the Stars, Moon, and Sun. He tried every night to catch them, and to keep the light for himself. When he finally set out to find their source, he came upon Nantale and her two sons, and in his greed, he snatched them up and took them to his den, keeping them under his close watch. The world was cast in darkness without its light from the sky, and this monster refused to let go of Nantale. Akello, the monster, had fallen in love with Nantale on first sight, and yet, the goddess refused to have anything to do with him. For his bad ways, she had lost any intrest in him, as most females did when men commited crimes." She tried to spin a lesson in her words as she spoke, and just glanced to her children once more.

"One day, when the monster had left to get a meal, Nantale took her children and quickly dug a hole with her paws. It took hours, but soon she made it big enough for the twins, and hid them there, covering the hole once more with stones and sand to give them breath, and yet keep them hidden. Making sure to brush the tracks away with her tail, she settled back in her same spot, and awaited for the monster to return. When he did, he grew furious with her and demanded her to explain where the children were. She, in return, told him she had no clue as to where they left, and would not answer him at all.

Soon however, the children grew too big, and Nantale was forced to send them off, before the monster could catch them. She told them to stay hidden, and to not shine their light until they were fully grown, and thus, she was forced to stay in the monster's den, awaiting for her children to come save her." She paused a second, and watched as one of her youngest spoke up.

"Mamma...what did the goddess not run away as well?" She asked as she peaked up from the other fur of her siblings.

"You shall see darling, I will get to that soon...anyways, soon enough, thoes who created Nantale came up and gave gifts to the growings sons. They learned how to hunt, how to fend for themselves like any mortal would, and how to keep their powers hidden and bide their time. For years, the goddess was forced to wait for her children, and the darkness spread across the world. However, soon enough, the world was blinded by a light, the sun and moon appearing with such power that was never seen before. Nantale, confused, walked out with the monster behind her, and the two looked up to see the sun and moon next to eacher. The monster, so used to light, was forced back into his cave, unable to live outside of darkness.

Nantale, amazed by the growth of her children, raced up to the heaves, and soon joined the side of her twins, where they watched over the lands and regulated the shadows, so monsters would never again attack the world..." Trailing off, she watched as her youngest yawned once more.

"Mamma...that was...a pretty story...I am so happy...for the goddess..." Trailing off herself, the child fell asleep as well under the soft nuzzling of Miremba, who got ready for a long night of resting and protecting.

// Howling //

Howling shook her senses as Miremba was shaken awake, her eyes shooting wide before her feet pushed her form up. All around her, cries were heard and confusion was expressed, and before she knew it she was pushed aside by Hakaan and sprawled on the floor. She could only lift her head slowly as he looked to her with his dark raven eyes, soft pelt shimmering in her view before he turned and let out a roar.

There were hyenas, hyenas everywhere as each lashed out and attacked her children. The pups were wailing and the sounds broke her heart as she moved to go for any one; they were all to far.

"GO!" Hakaan screamed as he was slammed back by a large black hyena, pushing the creature away before more eyes settled on her milky white pelt. Miremba sobbed as one tore the white coat of her youngest, a howl ripping above all else before she was attacked. Only the last flash of seeing the blood of her youngest on his maw was what she would remember, fear pushing her to block the rest out.

// Life //

[A RP with Guine]

The sun slowly lowered in the dip of the sky as a rogue lioness moved across the hills of the southlands. Every now and than the form would still, ears falling against the head as the body seemed to shake slightly like a leaf in the winds, before the pace was picked up once more. With the last bout of shaking, the lioness let out a strained roar, soft and hoarse with a pain that laced through the tone. Paws falling lightly, the grasses around her just fluttered against her heated fur, her head looking down to the dirt in front of her as she closed her eyes tightly.

It seemed so long ago, the last time she saw Danzi was when she had injured her paw, and now the pain that shot up her forearm was the least of her worries. With every step she took, something else seemed to just leave her shaking with a pain she could not place. With a labored breath, she tried to get up, but was left on the ground only whining softly in pain. She held back each gasp and roar that wanted to come out, knowing that no one was around to come help her, come and heal her and sooth her. It all seemed suddenly so wrong, and as she sat there under the growing stars, she felt tears slowly reach her eyes, and sharply inhaled before her head fell down. She had no idea what she was in store for, but she knew it couldn't be worse that the pain that was coming from inside.

Feeling a sharp stab that stood out from the ones before, she gasped and lifted her head, eyes still closed as she shook her head, willing it all to stop mentally as her young form screamed of mistakes. Slowly, her mind wound to life, her gaze heavily lidded as her thoughts trailed to the past. Slowly she thought over just what had happened the past few weeks. She remembered Danzi, taking her into the cave as she injured her front paw, and before that she remembered traveling into the southlands where the grass was not as tall, but was still the same expanse she had grown to love. The lions, the creatures that seemed to be colorful and entertaining, all the ones who seemed to catch her interest through her travels. They seemed to cross her haze filled vision until one stood out among the rest, a handsome male who had wooed her with his words and his looks.

He was a tall one, an adult who was much older than her. He was respectful, always looking out for her as he just helped her hunt, find water, all without giving a name. Things had led, and as she felt another sharp pain, it all became apparent. A small roar once again fled from her mouth as she moved to stand, the grasses fresh as she continued on her hunt towards the endless expanse that hid a watering hole. Padding for what seemed like hours, the sun finally fell as did her form against the hard dirt around the water. Her breath coming out harsh, a sharp stab sent waves of pain over and over through her system, leaving her breathless as it seemed to never end. What scared her was not the pain, but the lack of idea of what just was happening.

For hours, the waves seemed to unleash against her form, and slowly as it all ebbed away she felt her breath catch, and her eyes just looked to the reflections that the shine cast. With each intake of breath, her body relaxed slowly and she was able to sway her tail back and forth in a hypnotizing motion. It was all such a blur, her mind replaying the events before she glanced down, down to the form that she had just finished cleaning. Her tongue still leaving the coppery taste, she looked across the light colored fur for any traces of blood before she smiled.

"I cannot believe it..." She whispered softly, her tongue tracing around his ear as she waited for the small cub to open his eyes. It all was sudden, completely sudden, and she just felt her heart still as she watched the cub, her cub, take his breaths. With her hitched breathing, she waited.

Cold. Why did he feel so cold? The newborn let out a distressed mewl in search for something warm. He didn't like this one bit. Whatever was under him was much too hard and uncomfortable. What was wrong with where he was before?

Something warm and moist brushed up against his fur. Mother? She was cleaning his fur now, was she not? The little cub shivered as he sniffed the air, quickly memorizing his mother's sent. It was a nice sent; easy to remember. Clumsily and blindly, the little male crawled across the grass towards the scent of his mother. He was hungry; something in his mind was telling him that if he only got closer to her, he would find something to cure his hunger. Little claws reached out for the warmth of his mother. How far away was she, anyway?! This seemed to be taking him forever! He squealed angrily at nothing in particular in order to let out his frustrations. Where was his moth- oh... His little head finally bumped into something soft and warm. It was much warmer from just a few seconds ago, anyway. Sure enough, he was able to find what he was looking for. A squeaky purr rumbled from the back of his throat as he nursed on his mother. Darn right he was going to enjoy his meal. He deserved it after that long, annoying journey; despite the fact that his journey wasn't all that far.

A low chuckle seemed to just seep from her being as she looked at the small cub in front of her. He was so tiny, it was unbelievable that such a small creature would turn out to be such a large lion like his father was. Feeling the small one move closer, she just gazed at his fur, taking in the soft color and his white hair, eyes trailing to his tail. So engrossed, she was surprised when he fell into her hold, his pur and mews causing her to move a paw and pull him in, wrapping his fur in her own and moving him towards where she somehow knew he could find warmth and food.

"My son..." She whispered with a purr, watching him with warm eyes as he suckled for his meal, "My darling son..." Her voice was soft, tired as she just purred deeply.

The cub's purring grew deeper as his mother pulled him close. See? This was nice. It was a lot better than being cold and hungry, anyways. He couldn't understand how he was separated from his mother long enough to feel as cold as he did earlier. Luckily he was warm enough now to stop shivering, although the constant rumble of his purring seemed to make up for it. It wasn't as though he was trying to purr on purpose! It was just kind of happening. All cubs purred like that anyway, right? He wasn't some weird purring freak, was he? ... Whatever, that didn't matter now. All he wanted to worry about was staying as close to his mother for as long as possible.

All the pain seeming to melt away at the sight of the small one, she just listened to him as he continued to feed, wondering just what she was doing. She had no idea what to do, but somehow it all seemed right, and she couldn't help but release her sigh of contentment. Blinking suddenly, she decided to shift lightly, hoping she didn't disrupt her son as she smiled, her son. She couldn't just get over it, she was a mother now with an amazing son, one that seemed to get along right after his father.

"What should I call you though?" She asked softly, voicing her thoughts as she looked up to the stars above.

This was nice; just him and his mother. They were all that existed, right? It actually didn't really matter to him; just as long as he stayed close to his mother's warmth. Suddenly deciding he was full, he pulled away. Apparently he did so a little too fast, for he toppled over onto his back. He let out an irritated sounding chirp from surprise, quickly trying to right himself and turn over so that his paws were once again underneath him rather than above. Hearing a soft voice above him, the cub lifted his head the best he could to it. Was that his mother speaking? It was hard to him to tell what was going on, but he still felt safe. As long as he was with his mother, all was right with the world.

Feeling him pull away, her paw was out as soon as he fell, her movements slow and tired as she helped him move to his stomach. Sure it was nice for him to move on his own, but at the moment she knew he was a little too young to know how, so a little help would not hurt him. Seeing his head move to raise, she just moved quickly and cleaned where his small patch of hair was, chuckling once more at his antics.

"Such a cute young cub...you will grow up to be very handsome..." Pride filling her voice, she moved to stand slowly, her legs shaking slightly as she righted up and picked him up lightly. Being gentle, she padded quickly towards some short grass and settled, setting him in the 'nest' that was her paws.

Nice and warm and- hey! His mother's warmth suddenly left him. Where was she going? He mewled to get her attention. She wasn't going to leave him all alone and cold and- Now, he was suddenly off the ground! What was going on?? He chirped some more for the heck of it. Why was he being moved again? He was just fine where he was before! Being placed back down near his mother's warmth was only too welcoming. The cub let out a yawn as he nuzzled his head against her. How could he be tired already? He hardly did anything! Sheesh...

Smiling with warm eyes, she just nuzzled his hair softly, licking him for good measure as she listened to his mews and his yawns. Feeling the same ache for sleep as he seemed to do, she just moved her paws closer around him, as if making a protective sheild as her purring filled the silence of the southlands, the nosies of the wildlife seemingly gone as she could only see him, hear his cries. Feeling the pride of her acomplishment fill her, she just decided she would name him another day.

"You deserve the perfect name...and until than, we will rest, and tomorrow maybe it will come to me, my son..." It was a soft whisper, like the breeze, and she tried to keep her purring even as if it were a lulliby.

Ah ha! The cub found his tail... He tried to gnaw on it some while his mother insisted upon licking him. Grasping his tail with his forepaws, he chewed on the tuff of fur at the end. To his growing embarrassment, he started to purr once again. Great. His ears perked up some at his mother's voice. He liked her voice. It was very soothing; it made him feel safe. Of course, why would he not feel safe? What bad could possibly happen when he was with his mother? He chirped anxiously at what seemed to be his mother's purring. At least he wasn't the only freak who made that sound. It was very calming to hear. He yawned again and rested his head up against his mother's paws. All he wanted to do right then was to listen to his mother.

Feeling a slight twinge of something, tears seemed to fill her eyes at the antics of her son, and she just found herself watching him with soft eyes. Keeping the purring up, for it appeared that he liked it, she felt as if each second seemed never ending, her heart warm and her soul content as she just felt the wind play with her fur. Feeling his head rest down, she just smiled as everythign seemed right.

"It is time for you to sleep..." She stated finally, and moved so he rested right next to where her head was lied, his back curled to brush her cheek. Dark eye gazing down to him though strained, she knew she wouldn't be able to safly sleep, but she could just lie there. Somehow, it seemed that tonight she would be able to rest, and nothing would bother them, she just knew it. Pulling him closer, her purring continued though it deepned and lightened in sound, like the soft wind she protected him from. Hopefully he would sleep soon, for it had been a long day, and they deserved a good rest.

The little cub purred contently as he made himself comfortable up against his mother's cheek. Only... He quickly reached out with a paw to grab his tail, pulling it close to him. He wanted to play with it later; he wasn't about to let it get away from him while he rested. He yawned again, but quickly laid his head back down so he could listen to his mother's purring and her voice. Whatever she was saying made him feel very at ease for some reason or another. He liked feeling that way. Somehow the tuff of his tail made its way to his mouth. He sucked on it a bit, still purring as happily as ever. It was only a matter of time before he would drift off to sleep. Said amount of time would be much more quickly than he would imagine.

Smiling with a content heart, she just let him lie there, keeping him close as if he was her life line, and she knew she was his. He would not be there if not her, and would not survive at that age without her. It scared her, having so much depended on her, but she knew it was not a matter to fear, for he would not wish it that way, or so she told herself. This cub, this amazing creature she created with the help of another, was something that just continued to keep on her mind. The pain, the horror of it all was put behind, forgotten as she felt herself fall into a light slumber along wiht her child, though she would of course awaken if she heard anything, smelt anything, or felt that small weight taken away. She would not let any harm come to her...family.
