Richard smiled, shaking his head as he took a few steps out into the grass as well. "It is... Its all... so perfect..." He mumbled to himself as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "So was it worth all the hype and secrecy hm???" He asked with a goofy smile.

From her place in the grass, Lorey looked up at him and laughed.
"Yes, it was. It definitely was... Ah, Richard, this is just... our dream! It's here."
Though she had to wonder...
"What do we do now? I can't leave my job, and we might not have enough to cover house expenses..."

Richard looked down to her, a serious look on his face. "I've already thought of that..." He said softly, mulling it over in his mind. "The house itself is free... And I figured I could make most if not all of the repairs..." He rubbed the back of his neck, not sure if she'd like the next part.
"I could come here after my shipments, and work on the place while you stay in Veratia temporarily, keeping your job. It'd be easier for me since Druis is actually pretty close to most of my drop points... and we could talk every night holographically or through video phone..." He made this offer, bracing himself for Lorey's disapproval.

Lorey did hate the idea, so, so much. But... this was something they had to do. Sacrifices had to be made in order for their dream to happen faster than it would if they stayed on Veratia together.
"Do you think... I'd be able to come here for the weekends and help you?" Lorey sat upright in the grass, her eyes never leaving him. "Unless that's too much trouble... You'd come to visit me, right?"

Richard nodded quickly. "Yes i meant to add that...You can come up and we can work together or just be together whenever you have off! I'd promise to come get you. Enty is outfitting our ship with a up to date hyper drive, making the trip much faster!" He noted hoping this wouldn't be too sad for either of them. "If you'd like, you can even start planning minor parts of the wedding... I know its probably far away, but it might help distract you or... oh I dont know..." Richard seemed embarassed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I just want to make this work...so badly..." he admitted.

Lorey pushed herself up to her feet. Brambles were stuck in her hair along with a blade of grass, but she looked as if she belonged in Druis her whole life. With his hands in hers, Lorey felt like they could do anything.
"Weekends. I used all my vacations days for this week here and I can't get more. We'll make this work until we can really live here together..."

Richard looked to her, hesitating a moment before smiling. He nodded, happy. She agreed to his plan. They could make this work. "Lorey I promised you I'd find a way to make our dreams come true and I wont quit until they are all complete." He leaned down, kissing her sweetly. "This...this is my purpose.... besides making you happy..." His smile was set off by a slight blush.

"And I'll do everything I can to make this work. I'll work overtime, do anything I can, Richard. Don't you worry."
Lorey kissed him again, and hugged him as tightly as she could. They had a week there together, and after that things would be a little harder. But wasn't it better than everything else she had been through?

Richard smiled, bringing her into a tight hug. "Together.... this'll be perfect." He smiled. though after a moment of just holding her, he pulled back to look around. "Where should we begin love?" He asked.

"Oh gosh, I don't even know!" There was painting on the outside, meeting the community, seeing how the kitchen worked and what other gadgets had been installed. So much to do, but they only had to choose one thing to start with.
"You choose! Please something not on the roof, though."

Richard thought a moment. "How about we just go around to each room, uncovering everything and opening all the windows to get the dust out..." He offered, starting with the basics. "But if you start coughing too much or get light headed, I want you to go sit outside alright?" He wanted to make her promise. If Lorey got ill from cleaning this place, he wouldn't forgive himself.

"Richard, what was I before I met you?" She poked his nose and turned around to get on the path back, still holding his hand. "I'll be alright. I've cleaned terribly dusty places before, and nothing too terrible happened."
She'd gotten pneumonia once, though, and had to see a doctor for that. The debt that caused made her even sicker because she couldn't afford food and had to go to soup kitchens. The city had very kind people, but Lorey hated seeing them to be pitied.

Richard shook his head. "Yes that's what you were once... but never again." He said with finality as she led him back towards the house. "Hm... by the way.. we should pick out our bedroom don't you think?" He smiled coyly, though meant nothing sexual about it.

"Oh, don't tempt me." Lorey pinched his cheek, meaning a joke, but seeing it turn red, she stopped right away. She certainly wasn't helping anything.
"And a room for the eventual baby... even though that won't happen for awhile."

Richard smiled at the thought, leaning down to kiss her head. "We'll keep it as a guest room until we're sure of the sex of the baby... or at least until we're sure we're going to have one... we can paint it yellow or some other unisex color..." He said witha nod to himself.
