Mizuki blinked at the bat. “My name is Mizuki,” she said startled by Sumire‘s reaction to him. She gently pressed a leg against Sumire trying to comfort her. “Why are you following us?” she asked suspiciously. Having to deal with Undine had taught her never to take anything at face value.

"Who said I was following you?" He snapped. "I'm just doing my usual rounds, making sure everyone's alright and grabbing a bite to eat." He flew over to the closest tree, hanging from it. "Besides the herd I'm in. They're getting a bit panicky. No clue why yet. Just that they're freaking out. Well most of them."
Sumire kept her ears tightly folded back. She didn't like Kurenai being rude to Mizuki. She considered wanting to stomp on him, but she knew she was still to small to do so. Leaning her head down she nibbled on the longer part of Mizuki's leg fur, tugging on it a tad, trying to let her know that she wanted to leave.

Mizuki found it hard to believe that someone Sumire seemed to know and not like would just happen upon them. “I think its time we’ll on are way,” she said to Kurenai and from the tugs she was feeling Sumire felt the same. Gently nudging Sumire with a leg Mizuki started to backup never taking her eyes off the bat. “Lets head towards the clearing I told you about,” she whispered out of the corner of her mouth to Sumire.

Sumire nodded in agreement, making sure she stayed close to Mizuki, keeping out of Kurenai's view.
Kurenai couldn't help but arch a brow. This was the first anyone wasn't curious about what he was talking about. He puffed out his cheeks now agitated. "Fine, if you don't want to know then it's your loss." With that he flew off.

Mizuki stared after the bat. “Well that was unexpected,” she said somewhat dazed by his sudden exit. Now that he was gone she saw no reason to continue walking backwards so turned around and kept moving carefully down stream. “There should be a small branch off of the stream up ahead that leads into the trees, that’s where we’re find the clearing. We can rest there if you like.”

Sumire gave Mizuki a cute little yawn. Taking a nap sounded wonderful to her. She was already looking rather sleepy. She continued staying close to Mizuki, leaning on her now and then when she started to nod off.

Mizuki guided Sumire to the branch off and slightly picked up speed not wanting her to fall asleep in the water. Keeping a careful eye on the foal she moved the tree branches hiding the clearing out of the way and nudged Sumire in. The clearing was a mix of sun and shadow with lots of healthy, soft green grass.

Sumire's eyes widened when she saw the clearing. She especially loved how the warmth of the sun felt on her back. Taking a few steps forward she lowered her head, feeling the soft grass with her mussel before taking a few nibbles at it, enjoying the taste. She was still tired, but she wanted to get something else in her belly before it was nap time.

Mizuki laid down in the shade of one of the bigger trees lining the clearing. Yawning she watched Sumire nibble on the grass. “If you see a white mare with fins its just Undine,” she said closing her eyes tiredly. The long trip and all the excitement of the morning was starting to catch up with her.

She finished nibbling some of the sweet grass but, Sumire was still a bit confused about this Undine she was talking. Making her way up to Mizuki she flopped down by her side and let out another big yawn. She rubbed her head against Mizuki's side, oh how she loved that soft fur of hers. It took her a few minutes before she was comfortable, finally falling asleep, her legs half sprawled out with the top of her head up against the Black Cerynei's side.

Mizuki’s ears twitched at the soft sound of hoof beats. Opening her eyes she turned her head and sleepily regarded the mare standing at the clearing entrance.
Undine stepped lightly into her clearing and froze at the sight of a familiar black form. “Mi,” she said softly in greeting as she walked over to the stream and took a drink. Looking back at the cerynei she stared at the sleeping foal questioningly.

Sumire continued to nap, curling up more to where her back leg touched her nose. As she dreams she starts to chew on the fur of her own leg as if chewing on grass.

Mizuki smiled softly at the sleeping foal then turn her regard back to Undine. “Her name is Sumire, she’s lost. I’m trying to help her find her family but we haven’t had any luck so far.”
Undine snorted at Mizuki’s comment. “No really?” she asked sarcastically than sighed shaking her head. “Your not going to find them in here, this place is pretty secluded and not many know its here. If there not from around these parts maybe they’re at the beach?” she offered not liking the idea of a lost foal anymore then Mizuki.

Sumire couldn't help but stir, she didn't like the bad vibes she was getting and curled closer to Mizuki a bit scared now.
