Sling shots are fun, just don't squeeze too hard. blaugh

I've had my slingshot for almost ten years and I finaly found a use for it.

I used my wrist rocket and already broke one before i shot it sweatdrop

That's actually what I have, wrist rockets. I have 2 of them. I love those things.

Ya wrist rockets are really fun.

We actually had someone bring one of those onto the field once as a backup weapon. Didn't go over too well with the refs though, lol.

I'd never use them in a reg game, just in a slingshot only game. Whats also fun is playing pistoles only.

Yeah, i heard that was pretty fun. Teaches you to rely more on skill than firepower. Now if onoly i had a pistol, lol.

Everyone that I play with sold their pistoles. None of the teams that practice at the local ariball field still use thiers. it seems like everyone is getting rid to thier pistoles while I'm the only guy who wants to modify his.

Hang on to it. I'm sure there'll be some new guy/girl to come along with a pistol one day.

I'm going to. I get attatched to stuff like that, I still have my very first set of gear, and my first mask which I used only once. I just need a reason to use it.

You'll prolly find a reason to use all of that after you finally decide to get rid of it. lol.

I was thinking of getting rid of my A-5 so I can get an arena gun sooner, but that thing is my pride and joy. I want to keep it forever.

yeah, the A-5's a piece of work. I'm definetly keeping it for those days of woodsball/scenario play.

One thing I've always wondered. You see a lot of ads saying how a ported barrel is more accurate than a non-ported one. I know from experience that porting helps make a marker quieter, but more accurate? Can someone explain this one to me.

I heard rifiled barrels are more accurate...Not sure about porting..Well here is the big thig to be most accurate is ball to barrel match..Don't think porting will do anything for you..But ball to bore will..

One thing i DO know about rifled barrels is that you gotta be careful with them. What most companies fail to realize that, unlike a bullet, a paintball's not only a sphere (duh), but it's also filled with paint (duh) that moves around inside the paintball and can affect the flight path. Most companies just cut grooves into their barrels and leave it at that. If you underspin the paintball, the paint sloshes around all over the place, and causes hell to your flight path. Overspin it, and the paint pushing that hard against one spot will cause the paintball to curve. (Before I go on, for those of you wondering where the hell i'm gettin all this from, just remember cintrifugal force). The only company I know of that actually did research into this to factor in these things is Hammerhead. So if you want to go rifled barrel, I would seriously suggest Hammerhead.

all very interesting, i did a science experiment, once on rifled barrels compared to the flatine system, of course the flatline system got all around better stats, except for popping piant, but it reall didnt help too much, because i was too young to know what i was doing at the time, and i had just got into paintball

Porting will help a little with accuracy. The marker used a high pressure burst of air to propell the ball down the barrel and at your target. The ball formes a seal in order to catch the high pressure gas in the barrel and ride it for propultion while its inside the barrel. once the ball leaves the barrel the seal is broken and the gas just rushes out of the gun. If you ever look closely at a paintball, you'll notice that it is not a perfect sphere. This interferes with the seal that the ball formes with the barrel when you fire your marker. At the moment the ball leaves the barrel, its flaud shape doesn't allow the air to exit the barrel evenly. The gas will rush out to one side of the ball insted of all arround it, causing the ball to spin. Ports allow the gas to escape little by little so that there is less spin put on the ball when it leaves the barrel.

Coincidentally, porting the barrel is the first step in making a silencer, so the marker becomes quieter.

dont know if this has been said so im gonna say it anyways

the main thing that affects the accuracy of a paintball is the bore to barrel match
