The demon looked like he was about to lunge forward again desperate to get to Dane before it was too late. But even as his body moved forward, Vampy already raised his hand whispering some inaudible words words before a shield seemed to blossom in front of Dane.
Kerylia crashed into it, causing the shield to shudder, he scrabbeled his fingers trying to find something to dig into something he could break so that he could get at Dane. The mouth stomach opened wide trying to sink its teeth into the shield and managed to shave off quite a bit of it.
"That's quite enough don't you think Dane?" Came Vampy's smooth voice. The techs were all hurrying out of the room as soon as Kerylia had attacked Dane. The only one left remaining was the glutton, the silver haired man and Dane.

Dane shrunk back a bit as Kerylia came at him again. The teeth grating on the shield made Dane's ears flatten against his head. He turned back to Vampy and headed out of the room, "Yeah..." He muttered, "I'm done," He sighed looking defeated. It wasn't even so much of a fear it was just, now he could honestly cut all interest in this genetic father. Now, after trying everything, he really could just let himself ignore the fact that he was related, he chuckled a bit at that thought. How could they really be related, it seemed so bizarre.

Vampy watched, curious on how long it would take the glutton to eat through his sheild. He knew the creatures jaws were strong, but this was an interesting experiment.
"You best hurry whilst I distract him," Came the others silky voice as he bent over and picked up a cake and then threw it to the side of the glutton.
The beast at first ignored it as it landed in a splat upside down, but the smell soon drew him away from Dane and the sheild scarfing the cake back as if it was nothing. Vampy tossed another platter of food a bit further away...luring the demon from Dane in an attempt to distract him.

Dane quickly slipped out of the door while The glutton was distracted. He was fairly quick and agile for some one his size. The boy quickly began to shut the door, waiting for Vampy to make his way out, leaving it ajar large enough for Vampy to get out but also so he could quickly close it when he did leave.

Vampy continued to throw things calmly towards the glutton eventually leading him to a larger mound of food he eventually came to start gobbling up as quickly as possible. Vampy slipped out of the room without much fuss as the glutton found solace in the food. He closed the door and then initiated the rune ward before looking at the spider webbing that etched along the pain of bullet proof glass. He would need to get the fixed as soon as possible.
Vampy looked to Dane still calm as he turned to face the young spawn.
"Are you still full of questions? Or shall we leave Kerylia to his food?"

Dane watched the glutton with a frown before shaking his head slightly, "No, I got answered what I wanted..." He said in that strangely adult tone he had earlier, "I can go ahead and live without wondering all the 'what ifs' I can just think of it as part of classes or whatnot...because he has nothing to do with me anymore," He stated turning away from Kerylia's cell and heading toward the stairs, "Thank you for letting me come," He said to Vampy before heading up the stairs.

Vampy watched as the boy moved off, an eye sliding over to look at Kerylia a bit before a smile crossed his face.
That went more smoothly than he originally thought. Hopefully the child would stop prying from now on.
