"All right then, well I'll explain. Every year at Cirque we have essentially a tribal culture event for a few days that my brother and I head up. We've both studied tribal cultures all over the world for many years and tend to do a lot of teaching on the subject." Amar explained with a smile.
"Yep, and this is our sorta fake tribe workshop that we run at Cirque." Mendias commented, standing up and going to lean on his brother. "We essentially made up a tribe and rules and such for it to kind of give the guests a feel for how life in these places works. I generally will explain the rules for where we are and do the demonstrations for that, and Amar will explain the differences between that and real cultures. S'usually pretty fun."

Tezza wasn't quite sure what to make of that information. Ok so there definitely would be no s'mores or ghost stories but from the way things looked so far it was still going to be really neat. The small winged child didn't know much about other cultures in general never mind tribal ones beyond what tv taught her.
Zoe was intrigued but still wondering why she'd had to leave her hat behind for this, what if it got boring? What if she decided she didn't want to do it anymore? The spotlight child would certainly give it a fair try but things had to be really special to hold her attention.
Tal grinned, leaned over and placed a soft kiss to the side of Allen's neck. This was exactly his sort of thing and now he'd get to share it with his lover and child, it was probably the best surprise trip ever.
Rinali just smiled and continued to listen, it certainly sounded like they were in for a memorable experience.

Allen grinned, squeezing Tal just a bit. He knew his man all right. Reaching up, he pat Zoe's head lightly. "Chill, squirt. You can survive a couple of days out of the house without your hat. There are activities so don't worry about getting too bored." He knew their daughter well too.
Czhichi gave Rinali a light peck on the cheek and smiled down at her daughter. "I'm sure you'll have a good time, Tezza." she assured the child, "There's going to be lots of learning, but there's also fun stuff like climbing trees and marshmallows."
Mendias snorted at the marshmallows comment. "Yep, definitely marshmallows. I'm a bit of an unorthodox goofball in that I tend to add some more modern culture things to some of the activities. Tends to keep things a little more comfortable for the kids."

Tezza giggled and beamed, marshmallows might be good but climbing was way way better..even if she was still a but small to reach from branched to branch without help yet, maybe Zoe would help her.
Zoe looked up at Allen and smiled " Kay" If she got bored it was his fault though, still her other guardian was usually right.

Mendias grinned. "Well, just go and find somewhere to sit for a while and we'll begin shortly."

The group nodded and moved to get themselves situated, Zoe ending up in Allen's lap and Tezza in between her mothers.

The event began with Mendias giving a slightly more in depth explanation of what they'd be doing and how they'd be living during this stay. Since they were to live in a slightly tribal style, they were to wear tribal clothes that they made themselves. So, needless to say, their first activity was to be weaving some of the grasses together to make their outfits. Some of the monitors were able to walk around and help people who were having trouble so they made them all right and the clothes didn't fall apart.

Rinali hummed happily as she worked to weave her grass, it wasn't the hardest thing she'd ever done but it certainly wasn't the easiest either. On the other hand she'd noted that Azeer seemed to be mostly focused on keeping Oliver from actually eating his grass, clearly the unicorn child wasn't above giving in to instincts sometimes.
Tezza was struggling but managing and thinking Mac would have looked cute in a grass skirt but he probably would have been a pest to other people.
Zoe was working with her father becuase things went faster when he helped and it kept her attention from wandering when she had someone elses's focus on her.
"Do you come to this every year becuase you run the place?" Tal asked his lover curiously looking over at him for a moment.

" Ahh I see" there certainly did appear to be more children here in general than adults that could possibly watch them all.

After the making of the skirts, Mendias showed the group how to set up their temporary huts for this camp out. That took a bit more time, considering different groups had different needs. However, once all was done, it was time for fun (at least, that's what he said).
"Okay, now, our chaperons will be taking small groups of kids on a treasure hunt. This has absolutely nothing to do with the educational aspects of this event, we just feel everyone has worked hard and needs a break. Adults may join their kids, relax on their own, explore, or come have drinks up at the front. I'll be answering any questions people have then." Mendias told the group cheerily.

Building houses was hard and Tezza never ever wanted to try it again, they might be neat to sleep in later but they were an awful lot of work just for somewhere to sleep and the little girl had been exhausted by the end even if the grown ups did most of the hardest stuff. Still she perked up at the mention of a treasure hunt, that could be fun. The girls small purple wings flapped together
Tal laughed silently at the thought of Azeer on a treasure hunt, from what he recalled the man was rather bad with directions. He'd been a well revered solider but prone to getting lost more often than not without good landmark indicators of where he was, or so Tal had heard. He had a feeling the navy haired male would probably hand Oliver off to someone less likely to get them both hopelessly lost.

Czhichi smiled at Tezza, "Do you want to go? I think Miss Medely is forming a group over there. You and Zoe could go join them." she intoned softly before smiling over at Rinali. If she knew her woman, Rinali would either join them, or want to molest her.
Allen grinned, snuggling Tal. "Do you want to hang out and have some drinks and talk to Mendias?" he asked pleasantly.

" Yeah, I bet Zoe and I can find anything." With her sharp eyes and Zoe's imagination they could find anything hidden anywhere.
Rinali laughed and smiled at Czhichi " I'm sitting this one out" She wanted to give Tezza a bit of freedom.
Tal nodded " Probably for the best" Tal could get competitive sometimes and if nothing else raising Pyran had taught him he had a bad habit of helping his children when it was neither necessary nor welcome.

Czhichi nodded and smiled, shooing the girl over to the very friendly looking Miss Medely. Medely, a short athletic looking girl with glasses and a build that came from being very outdoorsy, grinned at the group of kids going over to join her. Czhi, meanwhile, turned to give Rinali a kiss. "I'm sure they have chocolates too."
Allen snorted and snuggled Tal. "You know Zoe would ban you from attempting to help her anyway." he laughed, patting the redhead's hair and shooing her off to go with Tezza. "Have fun, Zo'."
