"Amelia and Melethia." Isadora replied. "We left them behind in FEFGA's manor. We would rescue them, but the tunnel collapsed and created a cave-in."

She began to feel the cool sensation rushing over her arms, legs, and her face. It was odd to taste it too. It somehow tasted like soft ice. As Nino continued healing her, Isadora began to feel more touch from the spell than the taste. It seemed her senses were coming back to her.

"Yes," Isadora let out a small smile. "My senses are coming back."

She then looked at the area where the groups were heading. Isadora couldn't help that the magic user was still lingering.... She had to find that source. That magic user was the most threatening of all.

"Can you heal my horse?" Isadora question as she ripped her cape and wrapped it around her arms, legs, and face. "My horse had the same trouble as me about the senses."

"Ehehehe...did someone say 'magic'?" A mysterious figure with great grey wings dropped down from a perch above. "The spell's called Chizakura...innocent looking petals that'll rip you to shreds if you so much as touch them. And they mess with your senses...light becomes sound, touch becomes taste..." A grin spread across his face. "Though I'm guessing all of you suspected as much. Sinister spell, really."

"As for your poor horsie...I just so happen to have a Mend staff here. Convenient, ne?"

Nino looked back at the stranger. "Chizakura?" She asked. "And I have it handled with my heal staff, thank you very much!" She said stubbornly. As she began to realize the morphs were on their way, she considered it for a moment. They didn't have time, and a mend was better than a heal... "Fine. You heal it... Just hurry! What's your name?" She asked.

He chuckled. "As the lady wishes." He tapped the staff's head to the horse, and a pale light shone from the crystal for an instant. "She's all good now."

He flexed his wings. "Name's Loch. I've been watching you guys for a while. I picked a hell of a time to get involved, eh?"

Isadora gave an annoyed look to the stranger. "It would be helpful if you've told us way earlier."

After all, the paladin had to learn it the hard way. And it was not easy for the paladin to experience it. However, this was not the time to discuss. She had to help her comrades pronto. "Heal my horse quickly. I need to aid them."

She didn't have the time to correct the stranger (Loch, was it?) that her horse was a male. However, she needed to aid them. Jumped back on her horse and had her body covered, Isadora raced down to aid them.

The morphs for the most part were rather slow and clumsy picking their way through the forest. Most of them couldn't see all that well, and mostly kept themselves focused straight forward. They'd be easier targets for Jin if they weren't all clumped together in tight formations and strange purple petals were flying overhead.

The "Shadow Priest" lay flat on his stomach, watching the petals go (sometimes inches) over him and morphs around him. He crawled further back into the undergrowth as morphs with torches approached, keeping the battleground well-lit for their comrades.

Damn! Isn't there a method to their madness? Am I just going to lay here? Jin cursed the petals as they flew past. They just seemed to keep flying straight in the direction of the FEFers...

But they can't hit if I dodge them, he supposed. He watched the large group pass him, but more importantly watched the petals fly past. They seemed to be mostly focused on staying away from the morphs to avoid "friendly fire". Well then! He'd just have to use the morphs!

As the torch-bearers brought up the rear, Jin picked himself up and shot into their path. The petals were quick, but he kept his eyes on them as they came, ducking and weaving around them. A Fighter spotted him first and brought his axe around, but Jin was quicker, slicing through morph flesh with the sharp blade in his right hand. Before the others could react, he charged for the torch-bearers. Both backed away quickly, so he opted for the one on his left, dispatching the bearer with ease.

He vanished again into the trees. His objective was halfway complete! Now if he could...

Whoa... suddenly, his eyes seemed to be hearing by sight! And his ears seemed to make sound... visible? His senses were warped now, and without the coordination, he fell to the ground, trying to figure out how the heck he was supposed to move. He wasn't sure he wanted to, though... the petal slice hadn't felt that bad...

Isadora rode up to the group of FEFers, standing away from the range of the petals. She didn't blame them for not attacking the morphs. She too didn't want her senses to mess up again.

"If only there was a way," Isadora muttered to the nearest FEFers. "We need a way to attack without having these petals touch."

The hot summer had heated up, making the temperature rise. Isadora wiped her forehead. If only there was a wind to cool down..... Wind?..... That's it!!!

"Hey, is there a Wind user around? Maybe we can blow the petals away." Isadora shouted.

Loch had sauntered near the others, careful not to touch the wacky petals himself. Wind, huh...? Well, honestly, Thunder was his specialty, but he just happened to have an Elwind tome on him!

Never leave home unprepared~

"I've got this little thing," he announced, holding it up. "Shall I use it?

Coming over, Ziaram said to the others there, "Hey,there's one other coming to help...Valter was his name I think."

"Blunt form wind technique, magick archive heed."

A dark slate rouncey stepped toward the group that was fending off the morphs and the Chizakura spell. As it seemed to materialize in the torchlight, a whistling wind assaulted the area, throwing the petals back toward the morphs who had yet to reach the group.

Soren appeared with the horse, his lips moving to mutters of the Old Tongue. His eyes were as cold as his winter robes, his face emotionless. The rouncey continued a slow and hesitant walk forward, its head bowed, its ears swiveling as it snorted and spluttered. The environment was unnerving to say the least.

"In the goddess's stead let the spirits divine their higher judgment."

He repeated the incantation in the Old Tongue as his body began to generate a green aura, the hue glowing through his eyes. The rouncey walked closer to the morphs. There it began to toss its head, and when it got too close for comfort the rouncey stopped and stomped nervously.

"The children of Chaos heed. You have been found in violation of the Edict of Order and will thusly be punished for your and your creator's according transgressions. The spirits make their judgment; let their will be done."

Soren sat tall in the saddle, ignoring those who had attempted to avoid the petals and morphs. He raised a hand, fingertips glowing a soft green, and the orbs at his fingertips detached and drifted away. They went in their own directions gathering up the wind and increasing in size. They spun, they twirled, they whirled. And finally five spirits of Wind were made manifest, ceaselessly in motion, cutting about with their tails.

As the wind continued to keep the petals in check (or attempted to) the wind spirits followed its course, barreling through the morphs and leaving cuts and slashes, attempting to stagger the aggressors.

Soren stayed on his tossing and stomping rouncey, seeming lost in a trance.

Before Isadora could answer to the grey Heron guy, she heard another voice. It was a different language. One she had never heard. It must be an Ancient Language. Isadora thought as she tried to find the source, wondering who could it be.

Just then she saw a figure making a appearance. It was Soren in white robes and he was riding a rouncey. How did he get here and what happened to him? Isadora didn't understand what had happened to him. Soren was muttering, she wasn't sure what it was. Suddenly, she felt a gust of wind blowing. The wind was blowing toward where the morphs were.

Before Isadora could respond, Soren rode pass her and the members, casting wind spells to not only the morphs but also the petals. The petals were moving toward the morphs. It worked. The wind spell was blowing the petals away just like how cherry blossom petals were in spring. Satisfied of how it went, Isadora picked up her spear and raised her shield.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's fight!!" Isadora roared as she charged forward. Though the morphs would be in her way, her objective was to find the spell caster. The one who carried the tome called Chizakura. Whoever the spell caster was, that person must be stopped..... Not to mention pay for what Isadora had to go through.

vision of a dying embrace•

If Evelyn had been on the ground she would have tapped her foot in irritation. To think, anima magic was giving her spell trouble! She had the weapon triangle in her favor yet she was having trouble. A sigh escaped the girl’s lips, she really must be rusty. ”Triumph, you keep the others away while I cast magic,” Evelyn said to her mount before he took off running again. The only reason that wind magic could have such an effect on her dark magic was because she had the power spread across a large field of battle. If the magic was kept close to the caster though, and forced into a smaller area, surely she could gain the upper hand again.

Evelyn once again snapped her fingers, causing all the petals still roaming around to simply vanish, as if they had never existed. These guild members, they sure were annoying little cookies. If she wanted to cause chaos still, she’d have to mix things up a bit. The Beastmistress tugged on Triumph’s fur and steered him into a denser patch of trees. This was a perfect place to stop for a moment so she could work some magic. Before starting her work, Evelyn placed her tome in front of her, opening it to a select page that appeared to be sparkling and making an odd humming noise. Both of her hands clapped together and were held in that way for a minute before parting. When they separated a large flower blossom became visible.

”Chizakura, let us relive the past... It was long ago that you showed your power last… Power eternal; that shook Learania with your might… in your darkness there is no light…” A grin spread across the girl’s face as she looked at the flower in a longing manner. ”Chizakura… do you remember… what we did to Grado all those years ago?” The last word lingered in the air as Evelyn blew on the flower causing its petals to scatter in the air and vanish. The air turned calm as Evelyn urged Triumph to return to the battle, but it didn’t remain that way for long.

Petals, thousands of them appeared suddenly and started blowing towards the east, unaffected by any wind caused by mages. These petals were different though; when the occasional petal hit someone, no damage occurred, not a scratch and no signs of synesthesia. It was if they moved to their own rhythm; their own beat. Something was coming, something big. Without warning, the petals started racing towards the heavens, coating the sky black, so that the stars and moon were hidden. The condensed magic transformed the formerly cloudless night into one boiling with storm clouds that crackled with purple electricity. The clouds started to swirl together and then strangely started… melting. No they weren’t melting; they just suddenly were crashing down! The sky was literally falling!

As the clouds of dark energy crashed down, it coated the guild members and the forest black; it was as if someone had dumped a large bucket of black paint on everything without warning. The icky darkness was strange though, it inflicted no direct damage, but it seemed to be sticking to everything! The darkness was unlike Evelyn’s prior attack; this magic inflicted everyone with poison and slowed their movements. The morphs though; Evelyn had made sure they weren’t affected by this attack, rather it helped them. The morphs were absorbing some of the magic, making them not only stronger, but faster.

Evelyn wasn't about to let the fun end there though. No, everything needed a little... finishing touch. Something that made it spectacular, unforgettable; the Beastmistress was determined to make the guild members always remember this moment. "Come forth my pretties, let us enjoy ourselves tonight!" Her voice pierced the air as the darkness that coated the ground began to bubble and form together in numerous places. The bubbling darkness rose up and started to take shapes. It took the shapes of monsters; ones from her homeland. There were numerous kinds ranging from Mogalls to Revanents. As the morphs continued to attack, the newly summoned creatures mixed themselves into their ranks, strengthening the assault.

"Ah..." Leon, one of the first in line to strike along with his steed, Anri felt his movements slow upon being coated in the Darkness summoned. The Lieutenant's grip on the poleaxe begun slipping, and the overall reactions to his enemies were becoming significantly slower. What was even worse... it looked like the morphs were becoming faster! Not to mention their numbers have at least doubled. He knew the odds were stacked terribly, even fatally against him.

No... not here... not now... no... Cap'n Dan... Leena... Magnet... But those thoughts held irony... he didn't want to leave them behind, and yet, as a Watchman, one of the things he had to be prepared for was... the end. He'd swore that this time, he'd hold victory, and a small, but shimmering ray of hope that would bring the displaced exiles back to where they belonged. Leon kept gripping his axe... no matter what happened. So this is it, huh? I've been long prepared for this... too long... Cap'n. I'm so sorry I never got to make ya proud like I said I would.

Sue, on the other end of the battlefield had also dealt with her fear of the sheer numbers of enemies, along with them being much faster than ever before. The fact that their speed at least matched hers was a bigger problem than one might think, as she was trained to use her weapons faster than anyone. If nomads didn't have speed, they were at a huge disadvantage.

Calm down. You can still fight. Be... calm. Just don't let anyone be harmed...

No matter how much she thought that though, Sue wasn't calm. Moving targets were bad enough, but fast moving ones were worse.. "We.. need to finish this quickly.." she muttered weakly.

Victoria had heard the call to arms when Leon had first sounded it, but this time, she was fully rested and somewhat less hungry thanks to Arashe. Already... she was having to use the one spell that took a lot out of her. Lifting up the largest of her staves, she called the name "Fortify" for the uncounted time, making the healing light cover her comrades.

Then, she opened her divine tome. She was ready to start fighting how. "Forgive me for my lateness." She said to no one in particular. "But I feel fine now, so I'm ready to assist you with my rare gifts." The bishop winked upon the last part.

Isadora swung her spear from left to right, parried and attacked the morphs. She blocked some of the attacks with her shield before giving them a quick blow of her spear. As she was attacking the melee morphs, she quickly scanned the area looking for the spell casters.

She saw some of the morph who were magic users, but they didn't look like the type to cast the strange spell. The attacks they launched were ordinary attacks she saw. It must be one of the Heroes. Isadora quickly realized.

She should had known that it was one of the Heroes. Surely, there was no way a morph would be able to cast a powerful spell. However, she had to figure out which Heroes was it. Could it be that young girl she saw back at the manor?...... No, she had a horse. Therefore, she must be a Light user.

This power..... It wasn't a light magic at all. Trying to figure out which Heroes it was, Isadora rethought of Ganon's story while slicing her enemies. Remembering what Loch had said earlier, the spell caster's tome was called Chizakura. That was the only clue that she needed to figure out. She rethought the story, trying to remember who it was.......

"There appeared in our world a woman named Evelyn. She was a mighty wielder of dark magic, with a command over the horrible man-eating beasts that roam the world by night. She carried the tome Chizakura, said to be so powerful it could carve holes in mountains!"

Evelyn....... So she was the spell caster. And she's a dark user. That would mean they would need a light user to stop this attack. Lucius was there, but was he strong enough to defeat her magic? She was unsure what magic could Octavio wield. However, it was a good thing there was another light user.

"Rhys!! That spell that screw us around!!! It was Evelyn!! She's a dark user!!! We need your strength to deflect her magic!!!" Isadora shouted as she swung her spear.

Suddenly, she felt something sick inside of her. Her cheeks were showing tints of green. Her energy and power were becoming weak. What's happening?..... Isadora thought as she struggled to attack. Somehow, the morphs were moving faster than her. She went into defense. How could it happen? She wasn't being inflicted with poison weapons, whether it be melee or arrows..... Unless.....

"Curse you, Evelyn!!" Isadora muttered as she blocked the attack with her shield and stabbed the morph with her spear. She should had figure out that the Hero had casted another spell. Somehow, she was getting irritated by this Hero's tactic.......... However, at least this spell didn't screw her and Tuomas' senses.
