Chione glanced between her sister and the stallion in confusion. She'd never heard those words before, but maybe it was how other Kirin spoke. A custom maybe? A reminder that this would be an adjustment. But that was alright. She'd figure it out in time.
Blinking up at Keshet's touch, she nodded. She knew she would fight the wet in her eyes later, but for now, this was best. To go before it sank in. "I'm ready." She cast a long look at her siblings, then turned. Just beyond the trees, eh...? For lack of knowing what else to do, for fear of stalling here, she took her first step toward her new life.

Jiyuu watched somberly as his sister turned to leave. Was it weird that he missed her already, even though she wasn't yet gone? It seemed an odd thing for them to be parting so suddenly after having grown up together, but he really did want her to be happy. If going with this strange stallion was her desire, then he wouldn't stop her. Not knowing any fancy phrases of departure like Embri and Keshet, he settled for a quiet "C'ya, sis," offering up a small smile at the couple.

Embri blinked at Keshet's reply, nose twitching. That one is new to me... curious. He phrased it like a response, and yet, it's not familiar. With a slight shake of her head, she turned back towards home. "C'mon Jiyuu, we're going to be late." It never served to linger over things one could not change.
"Clear skies and tailwind, Chione."

Keshet gave a formal nod to Jiyuu and Embri and nuzzled Chione. "Let's go," he said quietly as they took their first steps toward a new life together on the road. They would be back, at worst in a season, but they would most certainly be back to visit the family. Who knew? By that time, he and Chione might have little ones of their own. The words of Jiyuu and Embri rang in his ears and he made a promise to himself and to everyone, in the name of all he loved and the Goddess, to never let misfortune befall Chione. He would never forgive himself if she got hurt.
