"Well, I guess I can only hope, then." Her smile fading, Uzuri knew all too well about when things didn't work out. For her, things ended up working out in the very long run, but sometimes that was just too long to wait.
"I wouldn't want to keep you here, especially if you don't know when you're leaving!" Grinning, she wagged her tail behind her. "If I were you, I'd go hunt down that boy not leave his side till he takes you to the mountains. As for me..." Glancing behind her, she thought of her home. "I think it's time I get back home. So many things are changing now, you know? I guess it's just that point in my life." She smiled once more, thinking about all of the big steps that she had been taking in recent times, and more importantly, the big steps her mate was taking for her.
"You'll always be welcome here, Shaila. I don't think I've ever had a friend like you." It was true, and Uzuri welcomed the fact. She hadn't had many friends at all, especially not females, so she secretly wished that Shaila would come back to see her one day.
