Rhian obliged, though she stared at her "parents" the entire time. This, in turn, was somewhat unnerving for Ellandra and she soon broke off the kisses with a glance to her proto. "Let's.... go in the bedroom, hmm?" she suggested, glancing again at Rhian. "Stay here and eat your cotton candy, Flutterbye, okay?"

Faolan just made a growly disappointed noise. "Nevermind, the mood's kinda passed now." He swatted his wife on the a** playfully. "Up, girl. I'm gonna grab the other kid and look into gettin us some dinner."

Ellandra squeaked and got up, her eyes widening, and she vacated her husband's lap and moved over to the couch. The thought of dinner made her stomach twist, and she lay down on the couch. "I'm not really very hungry, actually... And Rhian's probably stuffed on cotton candy.... why don't you and Ziazan just go get some twinkie dogs for yourself or some such thing?" It was a testament to the fact that she wasn't feeling too well (increasingly so) that she was willing to let her husband eat that most heinous of fake "food".

Fao stood up, stretching a bit, then followed her to the couch. He crouched down to be eye-level with her, stroking her hair. "What's this about, girl? You ain't mad that I ain't in the mood now, eh?" He frowned a bit, concerned. "You want me to stay with you? I ain't really that hungry, either."

"No, nothing like that," Ellandra said lowly, blinking at Faolan and refusing to move. "I'm just. . . feeling a bit nauseated for some reason, that's all." After speaking, she closed her eyes and just enjoyed the feeling of her husband stroking her hair, the motion relaxing her a bit. "You don't need to stay."
Over at the table, Rhian had finally finished all of the cotton candy - that wasn't sticking to her wings or her antennae - and fluttered over, hovering over her owner. ".... nauseated? What is that? Can I help at all?"

Faolan frowned a little. "Coulda said something earlier, lass." He stayed crouched, but moved to rest his forearm on the couch, pillowing his head on it, and watched her as he stroked her hair with his other hand.
He looked at Rhian as the Essentic flew over. "I got this one, Rhi. Go tell Zia to go get some dinner for us, eh?"

Rhian tilted her head. "But... Sibling-Zi is outside, and I'm not to go outside." The little proto hesitated, not sure what she should do.
Ellandra sighed softly. "It's not that bad; I'm not falling ill or anything, I don't think." Still, she didn't move and didn't insist that Faolan go - she found his presence and actions far too comforting to suggest that again.

Fao sighed and looked at the proto. "Go over to the door and tell him without going outside. He's sitting on the steps. You can see him from here." He looked down at Ellandra. "You want me to carry you to bed?"

Rhian nodded and fluttered over to the door. "Sibling - Zi, Ellandra-husband-Faolan said to tell you to get dinner, Ellandra is . . . nauseated, so he wishes to stay with her."
Ellandra sighed and shook her head, opening her eyes and blinking a little. "No... I'm all right, really. I'm sure this will pass. . ."

Zia looked up at Rhi. "Is she alright?" It twisted around to look back at its "parents" by the couch, then got up. "Here, Rhi. Put my book on the table, eh?" It held the book out to its sister.
Faolan couldn't help looking all kinds of concerned. "You sure? It's no trouble."

"I believe so. . . Yes, yes, I'll help!" Rhian chirped, taking the book and flying over to the table with it, where she sat it down with a gentle "thunk".
Ellandra nodded. "I'm sure. . . it's just a little nausea, Faolan. Though I'm not quite sure what's caused it..."

Zia headed off after its sister had taken its book in. Maybe the hamburger vendor was still open.
Fao frowned a bit. "It's them babies is what's causin' it, lass. You should be restin' in the bed where it's comfortable."

"Already?" Ellandra asked, blinking. "Well, I suppose.... it actually has been long enough, hasn't it?" She made a face. "But if it is that, I don't want to be stuck in bed all of the time; I just. . . . need to be able to get past it, that's all."

Fao shrugged. "I don't know really on if it's been long enough or not, lass. You probably won't need bed rest much, but if your stomach's turnin, layin' on the bed's like to be more comfortable than this old couch, eh?"

"True," Ellandra admitted wearily. "And I suppose Ziazan would like its couch back sometime soon, anyway. . ." She paused and blinked at her husband for a moment. "Do you think Ziazan would be able to sense anything new now that it's been a little while. . .? Or is it still too soon to tell anything, really? Aisde from what the cards said, I mean."
