Might I be the one to draw prominent members in front of an airship? Sounds like a wonderful portrait piece, but I'm not sure who you think should go in front?
Edit: and I'd love to be satisfied dramallama

I could pretty much do any of the things you've listed...though I'd need a pretty descriptive reference for the city.
I'd especially love to help with the portraits...I think it'd be interesting to get the different art styles mixed in.
Oooh, I just had a thought...maybe we could do a sort of biweekly (or whenever) avatar contest--the best, most steampunk/Victorian/Elizabethan/anachronistic (*checks to make sure that's a word* Aha, it is!) avatar we come across. It doesn't even necessarily have to be a member of the guild who wins. And we could have a group of volunteer artists who rotate through and draw the winner's avatar (the first artist draws the first winner, the second draws the second, etc., or it could just be whoever is free at the time), then send the winner his/her picture. The random free art and explanation as to why to members outside the guild, in addition to being fun and a nice gesture, would be great advertisement for the guild, and it would encourage guild members to be active because you can't win if no one sees you.

An excellent idea, Bishielufer! Now we just need to rope more artists into it...

I'd be glad to assist in this also. (:< Maybe even be daring enough and try to create the guild city with the assistance of other guild memebers or make group pictures.

Captain Amaranth fanboy360 i could prolly do the portraits..just tell me who u want me to draw Ah! An excellent point... I am currently work with Sakuneko-chan on this (so if you want to do it as well, you may have to duke it out with her) - and will shortly be producing an actual list of people I would like drawn. However, if you'd like to pounce on any guild members (who have something interesting to say about themselves) who would like themselves drawn, I'm sure they wouldn't mind. wink Basically, as far as the portraits are going, I'd just like to compile a 'portrait gallery' of notable and/or disreputable types around this here guild. hmmm, well if someone else already wants it ill leave it to them, just give me something else..^_^,.,to see wat kinda stuff i draw check out my da : fanboy360.deviantart.com

You know what?? If I have time, I might just join in this escapade of art. However, I'm very much a surrealist, so doing something more natural may look strange. Still, I'll try my hand at a portrait or two!

I would love to help with anything needed. Just message me. I do a lot with portraits if you'd like. DismembermentThere's an example. I don't put too much on deviantart for the reason that I have not had access to any technology such as scanners and programs suitable for using my account to its fullest. Now, with being at art school, it's been easier for me to spend more time on it.

Yay! biggrin I'm glad you like my idea. It seems like there are several artists (myself included) who would be willing to help with it.

Ambrose Closer Is there a ref photo for the ship? Oh, and who might be posing in front of it? Well, the Anachronism itself is a city (the design for which I am still working on in whatever few minutes there are). If you desire to do guild-types in front of [some airship/part of the city] then I might suggest you draw whomever you like; however might I recommend these as a starting point (feel free to include all, some, or none!): http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/lifestyle-discussion/the-anachronism-steampunk-thread/t.43615213_1/#5

Someone's task, should they be mad enough to accept it, is to produce a far better drawing of the Anachronism. I shall attempt myself, but I fear the worst. The Anachronism itself currently resides at the aptly named Very Conveniently Shaped Island; where it is under construction - floating in the shallows, it currently looks like little more than a framework, with no real discernible structure. ~•~ http://capnalex.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse/scraps
