kage no neko Then the crappy goodness. Early this morning I woke up and thought "********, what was that dream I just had? what if a god or goddess said something to me in it, now I won't remember when I wake up later". Sure enough, I remember thinking that, no clue about the dream. But if someone tries to contact me through dreams, they'd make sure that I'd remember it, wouldn't they? I hadn't ever thought of dragon paths either. It sounds interesting. I find it really amazing how before that dream, I thought "ha, dragons, silly fictitious things" and afterward I thought they were real. Well frankly I still fully believe they exist, though I'm not sure if I really talked to one or not. How Could you think Dragon's didn't exist when like every culture worldwide has dragons in their folklore. Japan, Europe, Aztec, Native American's (North American ones). I always believed they existed and hope someday evidence shows up that they do so I can go up to everyone who said they didn't exist and rub it in their faces for not believing that they didn't exist. I know that's a mean thing to do but come on EVEN MESOPOTAMIA HAD DRAGONS! LIKE HOW IS THAT NOT PROOF OF THE ANIMAL!?! OK I'm done with my rant now, but I'm happy you finally realize they exist. And in one of ur Earlier posts u said something bout a God or Goddess communicating with u in ur dream. Um... I talked to the high-priestess Tarot Card in one I had a few days ago so is that basically what happened to you or completely different? Cause i get most of the dream's symbols cept why I went through a LONG hallway that had like 5 traps in it to keep away these ppl who was killing everyone in my dream. Then she talked to me and said "It's ok (my name here). Don't be afraid." Same thing happen to you or something remotely similar or completely different?

Zslone2 How Could you think Dragon's didn't exist when like every culture worldwide has dragons in their folklore. Japan, Europe, Aztec, Native American's (North American ones). IIRC, what Japan has aren't actually dragons. We just call them dragons because they're big flying lizards. That doesn't make them actually similar to European dragons. Can you give us some links or evidence to there being dragons in Aztec and Native American mythologies?

Can I? I'm sure I can whether or not they are credible are subject to debate since I've only heard myth and legend and read it in some History books. Also the History channel seems like the world will end in 2012 and they briefly talked about how the Aztec's had a "Giant feather like creature with scales covering its body and a birdlike head." I had noticed that but they seemed to have skipped over that because they were on a rant about how the world is supposed to end 2012 and I don't believe it in case anyone agrees with the statement. My friend also told me of an underground dragon but idk if he is credible so his word doesn't count but Lake Champlain and "Champ" I consider dragons just water ones. There is also a "river monster" that demands sacrifice before you may cross it. Though the River name i do forget. Though out in Western USA i don't know much about their mythology and legend concerning things like dragons. I could go look for sites that are credible but anyone could as well or do you want it out of convenience?

Champ, if it exists, isn't a dragon. It's a cryptozoological critter, not a mythological one. I just wanted your sources, really. I mean, dragons are, like, Fafnir, and s**t. Big lizards with arrow-shaped heads and wings that breathe fire. And eat people. And sleep on giant piles of gold. Dragons are like Onyxia and Smaug and so forth. Dragons have four legs; compare wyverns, which have only back legs and wings. (Some people say they're a type of dragon but pfeh.) How do you define "dragon"?

I don't define it as ur definition. It's any winged lizard, that flies through the air breathing fire. 2-4 legs, wings, various colors, Size is unimportant but usually a lot longer than a person. While i consider the fact that some dragon's could be earth bound and not have wings that's my basic thought of a dragon, so in a sense going by my definition Wyvern's would be considered Dragon's. Your definition is more myth based and I understand that but they can't be just that, while I'm sure they did eat people i don't think they slept on piles of gold and had arrow shaped heads. Some had that kind of shaped head but don't forget China had Dragons along with the Aztec's and their versions were much different than the European versions. Lol it says Wyvern is spelled wrong, stupid dictionary.

Zslone2 Your definition is more myth based and I understand that but they can't be just that, Why not? Quote: while I'm sure they did eat people i don't think they slept on piles of gold and had arrow shaped heads. The pile of gold thing is probably extrapolated from Fafnir, but why not think they have arrow-shaped heads? Most artists portray them in such a way. Quote: Some had that kind of shaped head but don't forget China had Dragons along with the Aztec's and their versions were much different than the European versions. But we discussed this - those weren't actually dragons. People use that word, yes, the original terms are often translated that way... but that doesn't mean they were actually dragons. They played different roles in those lores and had different characteristics. And they looked different. So why are they dragons?

The Aztecs didn't have dragons - granted, they had big feathered reptiles, but those were deities, NOT dragons. And while I don't know that much about Chinese mythology, I did know Chinese 'dragons' were called that out of convenience than anything else.
As to another point made, the 'pile-of-gold, arrow-shaped head' thing was taken from a.) Fafnir and b.) Tolkien, who took it from Fafnir originally.

I have "Eight Sabbats for Witches", it helped me understand Wicca a fair bit more. Wow. I think the Eight Sabbats is the next section. I just read through the first part of the book, which explains stuff like the Great Rite. It answered tons of questions. Also, reading what they made seem be a usual opening for rituals.. too freaking complex for me. xd

Yeah, "The witches bible" is two books in one. I have one of them so I'd feel a bit stupid buying the "bible". Their rituals are fairly complex from my pov, although reading them now they seem less so than when I was starting out.
I'd really like to get my hands on their "The Witches' God" and "The Witches' Goddess".
In other news entirely: Monsters Inc is on! Yay!

I read "The Witches' God a while back (review I did for the BB newsletter), it was very soft poly, which was really disappointing. Not to mention that it encouraged invoking random deities - just to get to know them better. eek Overall it was still a good book though. Monsters Inc is awesome!!
