Mortal Kombat has fallen SO far from grace. REALLY far. They haven't made a good game since Deadly Alliance and that's pushing it.

I fail at fighting games
Apart from Primal Rage... I nearly beat that one as Talon

kacisko Scorch&Mega: have you even seen Mortal Kombat 1? I beat it! Yeah, I'm that old... I've been there for Mortal Kombat since the beginning. I still remember the Blood Code for the Genesis. Like I said I can honestly say I've been there for the rise and fall of MK as a series. Midway is out of business and last I heard Mortal Kombat is in Warner Bros. hands now. We can only hope good can come of this. @Elecktrakosh- Ironically I suck at Primal Rage while I'm alright at the other fighters particularly Guilty Gear X2 #Reload which is the primary reason why I listen to metal in the first place. Metal + Fighting game = WIN yes? Though I almost beat Primal Rage with Diablo on the gameboy. Ah good times.

Scorch: Well, somehow... somehow I have a feeling you were a bit too little to be there since the beginning wink

-Scorch
Indeed metal and fighters rock...Although it can go well with shoot'em ups too.

@Kas- Why yes I was. I was WAY too young to be playing MK when it came out. That didn't stop me though. wink @ War Starter- Tekken is a great series. I can't wait for 6 to come out in October this year. It's one series that has continuously progressed through all of it's sequels (though I personally didn't care for 4. It just didn't feel right.) @ Electrakosh- Agreed.

Tekken has just gotten better and better with each game visually, gameplay-wise, fun-wise, etc. And, idk if there's really anything to it, but it feels "right" playing Tekken, maybe 'cause I'm more competent with that game than other fighters (looking at you Street Fighter and other 2d fighters, I'm just not up to par with those...)

I'm the complete opposite, I'm pretty competent at most 2D fighters while at Tekken I've fallen pretty far. It's not that I suck it's just that...I've been deprived of having a Playstation system for a long time. I can play DoA (even though this game is just kinda eye candy and nothing more), and Virtua Fighter, but Tekken has sooooo much stuff you have to remember. And if you miss out too much you'll realize "What they took [insert character] move out? When did they do that?" Or you'll say "Man he doesn't play like he did in [insert installment in the series]. Either way though I still like Tekken a lot!
