Dunedien First off, congradulations on getting married. I don't pretend to be any kind of expert but it seems to me that the easiest way to arrange a steampunk wedding would be to find stuff or go to an arranger that does historically based weddings, and then add in gears, timepieces, bronze, etc. to make it steampunk. I am a girl, but even I cringe at the thought of a Hello Kitty wedding, no offense. I can see why a guy might have a problem with ethier of the other suggested themes. Unless he just doesn't like themes altogether, he should be o.k. with steampunk. Especially because the grooms outfit probably won't end up looking that much different than in a traditional wedding. Good luck. P.S.: Have you decided on a date for the wedding yet, will we get to see pics? I agree with Dunedien. Do a Victorian/early industrial revolution era wedding and add flair.

Congrats, lovely! My guy and I are marraige-opposed (at least when it comes to us), so I think it's awesome that you're taking the plunge. And a steampunk wedding is a glorious idea! My main question (aside from "Pictures? Pictures? PICTURES?") is this: where and when? Because while steampunk/Victorian style of dress is fun, it may also get hot, depending on where the ceremony is taking place (I mean in both sense of outside/inside and what area of the world you live in), what time of the year it is, etc. Style is nice, but never let yourself succomb to heatstroke or frostbite! Congratulations again, hon. I don't think I could ever do a steampunk wedding, mainly due to the fact that if I ever did get married, the theme would be superheroes. I would love to watch my family die of shame as I walked down the aisle in a cape :3

We are catholic so it would be indoors. Also, STEAMPUNK SUPER HEROES.

I thank you with the utmost gratitude; had you not mentioned Damsel in this Dress, I think I still wouldn't know where to look for a corset. The creations are truly pieces of art.
I'm going slightly mad.

Well, today's wedding dresses and tuxes are based of designs from the Victorian era, so it's not like your clothes would be too out-there. It would be a very interesting wedding, but it's not a decision to take lightly (Although, since you have changed your mind a lot, you probably do take it seriously). If your lucky, you will only do it once.
Of course, it's all up to you. It would be really cool. An antique car instead of a typical limo would be a nice touch.
