Yongnian was disturbed, "Seriously! What are we doing here?"
Nite Owl rolled his eyes, "I told you. We're going to see a friend."
"Friend, my hoof."
Nite Owl stopped and glared at Yongnian menacingly. "Don't you ever say that about her again."
Yongnian raised an eyebrow in confusion, but smartly kept quiet.
Liadin, Arachne and Aine followed.
Aine was dancing along looking around the world as if it was all so new. "So we be going to to see ya lady friend, Aye?"
Nite Owl shushed them both as they approached the stream.
(erg! Bad Irish brogue! but oh well!)

Gylden turned when she heard footsteps approaching, alert since there were children around. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw it was Nite Owl and his friends. "Hello, Nite Owl. Everyone."
Rosa nodded at the new members before turning her attention back to the children.
Night Star, Faisca and Sushi looked at the new ponies, carefully. "Friends?" Sushi asked.
"Owlie!" Night Star screamed before running to Nite Owl and attaching herself to his leg. "Hello!~"
Casaquilla looked at Arachne and grinned. "Hello sister. Come to help me terrorise these children?"
Sushi looked at Liadin. "Hello fellow sea pony!"

"Long, Long Shall I Rue Thee...
Nite Owl was sorta fidgety. He didn't quite know how to act. He didn't usually date, let alone date women with kids. He love Faisca as he loved all children, but this was...different. Faisca wasn't anyone's child. He didnt' know how much the others knew about them. They were a little more than friends now. Given that they hadn't talked about it, he wasn't sure if everything was fine or if maybe Gylden was thinking this was a mistake.
Yongnian looked at the terrified look on Nite Owl's face. "I'm Yongnian. We've met before, but this is Liadin and Aine. You all know Arachne."
Arachne's devilish eyes glimmered with mischief. "What else would I be here for? Picking flowers?" she sneered.
Liadin tucked her head shyly behind Aine as she whinnied. Her eyes were large, but there was a dream-like, sleepy quality about her that was indefinable.
Nite Owl had gained composure as Faisca flew toward him. He snuggled the small child close. "I've missed you little one." As he saw Aine rush forward his face paled.
"So you're the one that Nitey has been going on and on about. Thinks you're-"
"Shut-up!" Nite Owl hissed.

Gylden blinked at Nite Owl. "Think I'm..?" She shook her head and laughed, notiving his obvious awkwardness. "Sit down, dear."
Night Star and Faisca removed themselves from Nite Owl and ran back into the water, splashing and giggling. Casaquilla smiled and spread more web under the water, making the girls scream.
Sushi looked at Liadin and smiled. "Are you going to come and play?"
Rosa laughed at all the chaos, especially when Aine started talking about Gylden.

Liadin moved over to Sushi and nodded her head quickly.
Aine tilted her head, "That's not what you said."
"Yes, I did."

Gylden giggled. "How have you been, Nite?"
Sushi moved over to Lidian. "Watch out for Casa; she's playing tricks. Though I'm sure you understand since you live with her sister."
Rosa looked at Aine. "I'm Rosa. Nice to meet you."

Nite Owl rubbed the back of his neck, "I"ve been a bit lonely without you." Checking to see if Faisca was looking, he kissed her mother quickly. "How much does she know?"
Liadin smiled at Sushi, "I know all about her..."
Arachne waded into the water and giggled at the terror her sister was bringing.
Aine tilted her head. "I'd be Aine. Tis a bright spot you have here. Tis very nice. The faeries must be frequenting here."

Gylden blushed and kissed Nite Owl back. "She knows nothing. I wasn't sure what you thought of the situation and didn't want to confuse her." She smiled. "I missed you."
Sushi moved back into the water. "Coming?"
Casaquilla grinned at her sister. "Ready?"
Rosa smiled. "I'm sure they do, but I've not seen any yet."

Nite Owl's face was young and eager. "I don't know what we should do. Are we ready to tell her yet? This is real to me. More real than anything I've ever felt."
Liadin waded in and kept close to Sushi. "I'm coming, but Casa-Casa...she scares me!"
Aine smiled, "Aye but soon." She shut her eyes and was completely still for one minute, which was highly unusual for her. Then her eyes opened and she smiled, "They're coming." Small faeries appeared around them.

Gylden thought for a moment. "I'm not sure we should tell her just yet. Though I'm sure she'll ask soon enough."
Sushi smiled. "Don't worry, I'll protect you."
Rosa looked at the faeries and smiled. "Beautiful." She stood and danced around in a circle, growing a small patch of flowers for the faeries.

Nite Owl was serious, "But what exactly do we tell her? Are you happy with this?" His eyes were questioning.
Liadin's small eyes were alight with gratitude for Sushi as she clung to him. "I'm not worried with you."

Rosa laughed at Aine. "It seems we're a pair." She sat back down, her eyes upon the children once more.
Gylden smiled. "I'm happy with this. We tell her that.. You're a very good friend of mine and you'll be around a lot more. She's only young; I don't want to explain anything else."
Sushi blushed a little and moved himself an Liadin away from Casaquilla and Arachne.

Arachne noticed Sushi's moving away and she nudged her sister Casaquilla.
Aine smiled brightly, "Aye! And the wee ones are dar'ling!"
Yongnian was a bit confused about this. He watched how Nite Owl was acting--blushing, trembling. He was in earnest. This was really IT.
Nite Owl pressed his lips to hers again slowly. "But I think she'll understand that we're more than that." He glance the way of Faisca as he lowered his voice, "You know I've never waited this long for any woman." He winked at her slyly.

Casaquilla moved through the water and glared at Sushi. "Running away from us?"
Sushi frowned. "Go away, Casa or I'll turn you into sushi."
Rosa laughed. "Darling when they're getting along nicely. Casa; I'm watching you very carefully."
Gylden nodded and kissed Nite Owl back. "She will assume that; but she's still a kid. I don't know what to say to her."
Faisca watched Nite Owl and her mother and trotted out of the water. She tugged at Nite Owl. "Are you my new daddy?"

Arachne frowned at Rosa.
Nite Owl shut his eyes for a moment and looked at the little one. "I'm a good friend of mommy's. Why? Do you want me to be your daddy?
