doesn't matter what style you choose to draw in to experiment. i usually choose whatever i am most inspired by when i experiment, whether it is drawing style or coloring style xD
but if you need to experiment on any type of style, you could always use my OC in my journal to practice *wink wink, nudge nudge* 8D

I personally prefer chibis over semi-realism art. On Gaia anyway. ^_^

"Evaded, eliminated, erased, interrogated Our tradition, our love for our fellow countrymen, our property, our resources - our pride... o: i would love art from you if thats ok~ and as for your quest on the first page, is ay practice with both styles. i do many styles all the time, to try to get the hang of what i would like to do, and how i can improve =D Can you feel my heart beating? no no no....you don't..." Pixel art appears to be the most difficult, time-challenging, and provides the most differentiability between artists, from what I've seen. So I prefer that.
Chibis are cute, but sometimes you want something other than just plain cute.

Art I prefer = Pixel. It's cool to look at, and time consuming, and takes skill. I used to do some of that. But chibis, they're adorable.
Also: I'm working on my own art too, so I might be giving out some freebs soon too biggrin
