Seiji remains quiet as he thought over what Zhane said to him. It made sense as to why his mother was crying, being so worried like that. Flapping his wings alittle, he shakes his head before he crosses his arms. He didn't like the thought of his mother upset, not at all. He wanted her to always be happy.
Giving a small smile to Lexi, he takes a step back as he moves towards the door "Well I'm excited, I'm going to be a big brother. That means I will get to teach my siblings what is wrong and right?"

"I'm glad." he smiled as he lifted Lexi out of the tub to sit her on the tub's edge, picking up a fresh towel to dry her hair and excess water from her scales. One couldn't exactly bring a dripping child into the library, and Lexi tended to complain loudly if she caught a draft from being taken directly from the water to the outside weather.
"And sure, you're going to get to teach the baby a lot of things." he told Seiji, catching Lexi as she protested being dried and tried to escape back into the tub. "Right and wrong, colors, how to read, how to talk..."
Just laying it out for Seiji made his own mind reel as he realized just how BIG a responsibility this was.

"That alot to teach a baby, are you sure it will understand that all right away?" scratching at the back of his head, he grins at Zhane before watching Lexi. Maybe he could try teaching some stuff to her and Ren before the baby came. Then they would be able to help him out also, and they would have fun with the baby.

"Probably not right away..." Zhane said, squinting his eyes thoughtfully...and perhaps in a bit of pain as one of Lexi's hands caught his wing by the membrane and gave it a hearty tug. "But then, that's why its good we'll have so many pairs of eyes and hands, right?" he added, taking up a brush from the edge of the sink to run it through her hair.
"I think between you, me, your mom, and Lexi, we'll make sure he or she knows all they need to."
Lexi shied back a bit from the bristles, making a displeased face. "Noooo..." she protested, pouting. Nobody liked having their hair brushed fresh out of a bath...

Seiji nods before he chuckles at Lexi. Lifting a finger, he lightly pokes at her nose before making at silly face at her "Can I teach the baby about colors? And maybe their abc's? That would be so cool." his wings flap alittle behind him as he get excited at the thought of helping.
The more he and Zhane talked, the more he liked the thought of the family growing bigger. He would be the big brother, and could help out alot. That and he would always have someone to play with, which was a huge plus.

"Sure you can." he told Seiji with a grin, giving up on brushing Lexi's hair as she covered her scalp with both hands. It was good enough, he decided...they were only going to the library, after all, not somewhere fancy.
"You can get in some practice by helping this one learn hers." he added, watching Seiji make a face at her. "What do you think, Lexi? You about ready to start becoming literate?" he asked the little girl, who was completely ignoring him in favor of her soon-to-be stepbrother.
Flashing him a grin, her hands left her head to clap at the funny contortion of Seiji's features. Again! Again! she seemed to be saying.

"I would be very happy to help Lexi learn. Although she has her own way of talking." making the funny face once more at her, he laughs before holding his hands out towards her.
"So are you hoping for a boy or another girl? I'm hoping for a baby brother. It will be so much fun, plus I'll have someone to wrestle with." he thought of how different Ren and Lexi were being girls. They both didn't seem to like getting dirty. He however rather enjoyed playing in the mud.

"I'm hoping for...." Zhane began, drifting off thoughtfully as he wondered what, exactly, he DID hope for. It wasn't a topic he or Nani had ever touched on, amazingly, in all of the discussing of the pregnancy they'd done.
"I'm hoping for a healthy baby." he said at last, when he found that his mind didn't particularly teeter in favor of a son or a daughter. "And I'm hoping for a happy family." he added, giving Seiji's shoulder a pat as he rose from the edge of the tub, stretching the wing out that Lexi had grabbed at.
"And for the immediate future, I'm hoping they aren't out of strawberry shake mix again."

Seiji smiles before he moves out of the bathroom. With his hands behind his head, he shrugs before looking back at Zhane "Makes sense, beside you already have two girls and one boy. So you wouldn't mind either. They are still your child either way." rocking back and forth on his heels, he chuckles before shoving his hands into the pockets of his hood.
"So we gonna head out to get that movie now?"

"I think we'd better." he said, heading for the door and letting Seiji go ahead of him. "Its almost Lexi's naptime and she should eat before she lays down. Besides, its probably not one she's old enough to really understand anyway."

About forty five minutes later...
Seiji sat in his chair munching on some fries. In his other hand was a cheese burger hamburger. Kicking his feet he laughs as he makes another silly face at Lexi.
"Lexi sea food!!"
With that he opens his mouth, sticking his tongue at her. Yup in some ways, he was like a typical little boy. As he closes his mouth, he reachs for his soda, taking a sip from it.

Lexi emitted a shrill giggle of joy at the disgusting display, attempting to emulate it with the animal cookie she'd been given. Moreso, however, she succeeded in dropping clumps of graham crumbs all down her front.
"Ut oh...." she mumbled.
Zhane's earfins flattened a bit at the proclamation. 'Ut oh' from a small child was never a good thing. Though at least, this time, he would find that it wasn't the disaster it could have been as he looked up, already reaching for the napkins.
"Hey now, that's for eating. Not decorating yourself." he chided gently, cleaning up the half-chewed cookie goo and dabbing at the corners of her mouth.
On the table, like a relic of some sort, sat the video they'd acquired from the library. With a professional-looking white cover, complete with a picture of a forming embryo, were emblazoned the words "The Miracle Of Life".

Setting what was left of the bun down in his plate, Seiji pushes away from the table as he looks at Zhane "I'm all done, the bun was too hard." Carefully climbing out of the chair, he looks down at himself to make sure there were no crumbs on him.
When he see there isn't, he looks back to Lexi then reaches up for his plate. Carrying it over to the sink, he sets it on the counter. Looking at Zhane he looks back towards the table "I'll go wash up, then we can watch the video?"

"Sounds like a plan." he nodded, looking to the small merchild who was now breaking the legs off of the cow-shaped cookie and decorating her high chair's tray with them. "I think Lexi's about done eating anyhow."
Or at least, that was usually the case when she was more interested in dissecting her food than actually putting it in her mouth.
"I'll go get her laid down, you get washed up, and we'll meet in the middle." he suggested, reaching out to unsnap the tray from the high chair.

Seiji nods as he runs down the hallway, finding himself rather eager to see where babies came from. Stepping up on his stepping stool, he turns the cold water on then the hot.
Reaching forward, he grabs for the bar of soap. Soaking it under the water, he rubs it between both his hands before he sets it down. Rubbing the soap all over his hand, he yelps as he puts his hand under the water. When he finds it too hot, he quickly turns the hot water down alittle.
Rinsing his hands off, he grabs for the towel as he turns the water off all the way. Drying his hand off, he place the towel down then climbs down off the stool.
Peeking out of the bathroom, he glances around before walking down the hallway. Pausing just inside the living room, he waits for Zhane to finish up with Lexi.
