'Hello Callix,' Sati pressed his little hand in hers softly, smiling at the wings. Kali stirred inside her.. I know she said inwardly, pushing the goddess-soul back. She knew what Callix was, but he was too cute, and little for Kali to to be worried about, and Sati tried to impress that on her.
Sati chuckled at Lu.
'You could have asked, I wouldnt mind.' she tilted her head at Callix.
'Can you fly little one?'

Callix shook his head. "Non." he said ruefully. He wished he could fly, but his wings simply weren't strong enough. But if it impressed her one day, he would learn to do it. "Why Sati....here?" he asked in broken English. He would learn that better one day, too.
Lu sighed gratefully. "I'm glad. I would love to know why you have four arms, though. Anen's the only one I've seen with four arms, but he's a bug, I think..."

'I was hoping to run into someone new,' Sati ruffled Callix's hair.
'And I did, so I'm happy. Pity about you not being able to fly. Maybe one day huh?'
She glanced over at Lu;
'I was reborn to hold Kali, the Hindu Goddesses soul. She is often depicted with multiple arms. I am just glad I only got four.' she chuckled.

"I couldn't imagine life with more than two arms, let alone four. But I'm sure it comes in handy a lot. Cept when shopping for shirt. I bet that's a pain..." she said quietly, amazed that a Fa'e could hold as much power as a deity. She idly wondered if Callix held such a soul, but dismissed it just as quickly.
Callix stepped closer to Sati, as if seeing her for the first time. "Nouveau. I am new." He smiled, liking the striking difference between her skin and her eyes. "One day will fly. Fly for Sati." With a brave nod, he decided he would try more, if just for her.
"If you learn to fly, little guy, you'll need a teacher. Cuz obviously, I can't fly, and I don't want you putting your head through a window or something. I'm sure other Fa'e can fly, right miss Sati?"

'Well I don't have much use for shirts,' she chuckled.
'But yes, sometimes its a pain, and when I was younger I hated being so different.'
Sati nodded at Callix;
'Yes you are. Oh you'll fly for me huh? Well I'd love to see you fly.' she reached out, touching the tip of his nose gently with a finger.
'Please, just Sati,' she smiled at Lu.
'And yes there are many winged Fa'e. I am sure one would be willing to teach this little charmer how to use his wings when he is older.'

'No I couldnt imagine you would,' Sati's gaze slid back to Callix. She giggled as the toddler attempted to see where her finger was and she held two arms open, hoping he would let her hug him. Broody? Kali asked, snorting a little...Your fault Mother Goddess, Sati bit back.
'I don't know french Callix but I'll guess that was a good comment,' she smiled at him.

Oh, a hug! Why not? She offered. Stepping in closer to her, Callix gave her the best hug he could muster. She had three eyes, four arms, long hair... she was amazing! "Merci. Thank you, Sati." he said quietly.
So everything wasn't so bad after all. Sati definately made up for Dustin's gumming his wing and all.
"He really likes women," Lu offered, though it was quite obvious. "You know you're a goddess, but I don't know what he is. Hates men so much. I don't know why. Fa'e just...eventually figure it out, or what?"

Sati gathered Callix up in her arms, gently hugging the little boy. She knelt so that he could sit on her folded legs, and brushed a hand through his hair, utterly charmed by the toddler Fa'e;
'Well you are welcome Callix.' she beamed, white teeth flashing against her dark face.
'I know what I was,' Sati corrected.
'And I know why Kali is inside me again. But the journey to the knowledge wasnt an easy one. I hope for his sake, his discoveries come easier.'

It was a good thing Sati had discarded her skull necklace before Callix cuddled into her, otherwise he would have an uncomfortable time and she'd have skull imprints on her skin. His hair tickled her skin a little and she stifled a giggle, a hand patting his back between his wings.
'I wish I could say it wasnt, but I can't and I dont want to think on it really.' Sati looked over at Lu.
'I expect it hasnt finished. But such is life huh?' she grinned wryly.

Lu sat back, grumpy. "Life sucks sometimes, but... I suppose it could be a lot worse." She thought about various members of her pseudo-family dying, for instance. Anything life could throw at her would pale in comparison. She banished the idea from her mind. Nothing like that would happen. It couldn't. Not now.
Callix shifted his weight a bit and grinned brightly up at Sati, goddess that she was. "Sati is... happy!" he said triumphantly. That was exactly the reaction he'd hoped for. He remembered when he was but a disgusting baby. Well, much less disgusting than average babies, but being unable to control one's bodily functions was less that acceptable. But being able to speak lent him so much more, like being able to express how pleased he was to see Sati happy.
He wished he knew more English, but that was for another time.

Sati chuckled wryly;
'Yes I've come to that conclusion a few times..' she shifted a little as her legs complained about kneeling for so long.
'But I always find the things that make life worth it. Like this little guy,' she looked down and smiled at him.
'Yes I am. I am glad I came here, I am lucky to have met you today Callix.' she played a finger along the ridge of one of his wings, wondering idly how it felt to have such appendages.

Many times, she'd come to that conclusion too. Sometimes you just had to keep living for the ones who need you most. Just like Sati said, Lu wouldn't give up. Especially not with Callix around.
The incubus Fa'e watched intently as Sati traced the edge of his wing. It tickled, and he liked it. He closed his eyes happily. He wouldn't mind staying this way forever. "Sati est si joli! Je vous aime." he explained honestly. It was true in both counts. She was very pretty, and he loved her. As much as a toddler could, who understood little. But he meant it either way.
Lu shook her head. "Poor kid's gotta learn English. Slap that on my to-do list..."

Sati tilted her head, curious as to the little boy's words.
'It's french isnt it? I don't know any of that, other then how to say hello in it. What did he say?' she asked Lu, a hand still playing with his little wings.
