((Unsure if Altair was ever mentioned in their conversation, so I'mma pretend he wasn't for now. |D;))
Tyver, realizing he had yet to ask his question, was about to ask one when Lumiere spoke once more. He pretended to be interested in her offer, but knew he would probably never join. It wouldn't be best for him to stay close to the one he planned to use.
"Our?" he said, trying to hide the concern in his voice. The new information puzzled him. Did this female have a mate? Where was he? This would only make it harder for him to reach his goal, and he had decided it was too late for him to turn back. He disliked wasted effort, and he had spent nearly the whole day conversing with her.
When he realized this "Altair" was most likely her mate, though, the distress left him when he saw her response. Apparently, she wasn't pleased with him. "Why ever not?" he said, pretending to be disappointed, in an effort to find out more about the second Alpha. "I wouldn't mind biding my time if it is to serve under a worthy Alpha such as yourself."

Lumiere nodded slightly, to confirm she did not lead alone. A real smile lifted onto her features as she heard his comment, as her ears perked slightly. Should she just come out and tell him her plight? It was confidential, and revealing something so deep and secret to a stranger? But then again, he wasn't a stranger so much anymore, was he? They had been talking most of the day..
Taking a deep breath, the blue alpha made up her mind. "I was.. accepted into a pack not all too long ago. But," she paused, looking down before back up at Tyver. Unease settled in her stomach. "The alpha who allowed me in, Altair, has a bit of a... 'flirting' issue." Her tail shifted against the dirt slightly, as she readjusted her paw placement. "With any female, from what I notice. And sometimes, I feel as if I'm more of a second in command, then an alphess." Lumiere's eyes raised up to Tyver's face, looking for any sign of mockery as the weight in her stomach felt both heavier and lighter at the same time. Though, it had felt nice, to finally confide such a personal secret in someone.

Tyver, recognizing her deep breath as a sign that she was about to say something important, pressed his ears forward and sat straighter. The new information delighted him. If she had only recently joined, there was a high chance she still felt she wasn't a part of it, especially if the pack was well established when she joined. Helixes, being related to wolves, often longed to belong somewhere. It helped that Altair, whose rank gave him a possibility of being problematic, caused unhappiness in Lumiere. Even more so that the male's problem was flirting, as it may make the female Alpha want to flirt to another male (the male being himself, of course) to get back at the other.
Realizing that he was being watched, he furrowed his brows and stood, stepping closer to her in a show of concern. He went a great length to make sure his body language and facial expression wasn't misinterpreted for him to seem pitying, as others usually hated that. "That's not right." he said, shaking his head for emphasis. "If he had chosen to let you join, he should at least treat you like an Alpha." He chose not to mention the flirting for now, as it would prove controversial to his motives.

Lumiere relaxed at his response, watching as he approached. A smile slowly made it's way onto her features, as she stood slowly. "Tyver..." She was touched by his concern, and she slowly stood up. "Thank you." She smiled more brightly, as her ears perked up. "For listening, and for being my friend."
Her eyes glanced up at the sky between the coverage, finding that it had gotten late, rather fast. She glanced back at the male, disappointed that their meeting had to come to a close. "I suppose I ought to go back..." Lumiere sighed at the prospect, but stepped closer. "Will I be able to see you again?"

Tyver maintained his serious facade until the moment she thanked him. He let a smile form on his lips but it quickly disappeared when she said she had to leave. "I suppose...." he murmured sadly, genuinely disappointed.
He perked up at her question, looking surprised. "Of course. I'm sorry you need to leave now, but it's admirable that you still feel devoted to you pack under the circumstances." He dipped his head in a show of respect. "Yes, we'll meet again." he repeated, as if to reassure them both. He paused for a moment, watching her as if to memorize every detail, before retreating into the trees. Under normal circumstances, he would have subtly pressured the female to stay with him, but again, she was an Alpha. He could wait for a prize such as her. And, as he said, he would see her again. He would make sure of it.
