Zuri chuckled when she remarked Peter Pan was almost a teenager himself. Perhaps, in some way, Zuri was still Peter Pan. Instead of commenting further on the topic, though, he chose to focus on the fact that she didn't know either. How strange. She had gone to bed that early too?
"Very strange. I wonder what happened here?" He turned around to watch Waikiki Kiki's relatives busying themselves with their attempts to prevent the Tiki Bar from flooding any further. While a valiant effort, it was going to be hard unless they somehow moved the water. How did the water move itself, anyway? Perhaps the question was, how did the bar moved? Neither seemed to have any answer.
"Wonder how his bar moved? That hardly makes sense. The winds didn't move my house at all, so I don't see why they'd be able to dislocate the Tiki Bar." Zuri knit his brows.

Waikiki KiKi shrugged her shoulders. "I really don't know. Maybe it was meant to happen. I heard Jazz say there are new beaches and ocean. Great Hula Granddaddy has always wanted to go there. Maybe the bar needs to too." She wasn't sure but her teen mind thought it was a good answer.
Hula Bob nodded to them. It seemed right to him too. But how? How would he one move the bar and then two leave his beach? This was always his beach. He'd never seen the rest of the island as there was never a need.
The rest of the family and Jazz were still using buckets. At least trying to help for now.

"Wait, back up. What?" Hula Bob's dilemma escaped him for the moment. There was another problem with the statements that had so casually been offered. New beaches? An ocean? Where did those come from!? "Didn't we used to be hanging out in the sky somewhere? Where did this ocean come from? I could see a new beach, maybe, but there's an ocean?!"
Now Zuri wanted some answers. How long had he and Kiki, and her whole family, for that matter, been asleep if there were suddenly more beaches and an ocean? That couldn't have possibly happened overnight. All of his logic couldn't explain any of this.
"Did Jazz happen to know why there's new beaches and an ocean?" asked Zuri, a little calmer this time. Shouting wouldn't help. "Things like that just can't show up out of nowhere overnight." Or perhaps they could. Zuri Seabrook had never been in a situation quite like this one before.

Ivy got to the HQ and read the note. "I see." So, they were on the water now? That was very interesting. Ivy whispered to the plants and they whispered back that they were all ok. She wondered if her children and their children were ok.
Aspen had woken up just outside the house. "Takeko?" He found her kneeling on the ground. Everything was disheveled. He reached down and pulled her into a hug, "It's going to be ok."
Noel woke up just outside her cave that was now a rock slide. "Oh no!" Her home was gone. What would she do now? Cinna was off with her mate so she hoped she was ok. What about Aysu? Noel took to the air to see if she was ok.

Aysu had been exploring the lake when she had begun to feel sleepy, enjoying the sights and looking for anything pretty or meaningful she could give to Noel. Needless to say, she had ended up falling asleep in the lake.
Thankfully, she was moved to a location that was safe while all the water was shifting. She woke up in the middle of the lake and yawned loudly, swimming up to the surface. Aysu didn't remember swimming out so far, but perhaps she had drifted during her sleep. There weren't many currents in the lake, but with all the winds there probably was something.
Aysu began to swim in any direction, looking for the first sign of land she could climb up on. While she liked the water, she wanted to go see Noel. She liked to see her more often than her usual want, partially because Cinna had seemingly decided to wander off and Aysu was nervous that Noel might become extremely upset.

Noel continued her search. The landscape was different. What was going on? She flew to the lake and noticed how much bigger it had gotten. "Whoa..." She then spotted the colors of her favorite naiad.
"Aysu?" She shouted as she flew down to her. She hoved next to her, flapping her wings. "Are you ok?" She was so worried. "My cave...it's gone." Was Cinna ok? She really hoped so, now that she found Aysu, tears started to stream down her face. "I'm so glad you are ok!"

Takeko blinked, looking up at her mate, still a bit shaken. "Is it? The river...it's just...gone." She clung to Aspen for a few minutes, focusing on calming her own trembling. No, no matter what was going on, at least they were safe. Her family was unharmed, their home still standing. She had that to thank the Guardians for at least. However, she would still like to check on the rest of their extended family as soon as possible.
Taking one last, deep, calming breath, she leaned back from her mate with a nod. "I'm...alright now. It was just a shock. I haven't checked all of the house yet, but with the exception of a few things that have fallen over and such, I didn't see any damage on the way out here. Melek is still sleeping in our bed."
She placed one hand on the doorframe to aid her as she climbed to her feet. Takeko was more curious about other things, now that she was sure her immediate family was safe. Namely, that odd, new ravine. She stepped off their porch and headed for the rift in the ground, ready to take to the air if necessary. Who knew how stable the ground was? As she neared the edge, she felt safer after all taking to the air, so she spread her wings and flew up a few feet. Far, far below, she could see the river that once flowed by much closer to their home.
What in the Guardians' names had happened to their lovely Telrunya while they'd slept?
---
Tail still twitching, more with energy than irritation, Kane observed the males with some interest. In fact, the corner of his mouth almost twitched upwards into a half-smirk. The fae-thing had a mouth on him. Maybe he wouldn't be as obnoxious as the rest of them. Good thing. The demon feline didn't really have the patience for the whiny, clingy types right now.
"Sounds good," he agreed with the fae-thing's last statement with a curt nod of his head. "There's definitely something damn screwy going on here and personally, I'd like to know who the hell has the power, and the balls, to ******** with my life without my permission."
He wasn't going to go into detail about how he likely plowed into a dirt nap thanks to whatever was going on.
Kane paused, scratching something out from under his longer-than-normal claws that remained even in his demonic form, continuing speaking after a moment. This wasn't the time to be a hermit...it was time for sharing information. "I haven't seen much more than you two have. Though, I noticed a strong salty smell on the wind when I first woke up. I've traveled far since then and the sulfur from the volcano blocked any other scents I might have picked up."
Half choked me, he thought quietly to himself.
"Exploring the island's the best way to gather info. All else fails, maybe someone at HQ knows something." He wasn't fond of the HQ building, but he had been there a time or two. And...the food was good, especially when prey for hunting got scarce.
He paused before he started walking. He could travel faster and easier as a tiger, especially with all the practice he'd had with that form in the past months...but the other two could probably never keep up with him like that. Without questioning why he cared especially, he let it go and stayed in his current form to walk.
"Name's Kane," he quipped, turning and heading off with only a brief glance back. Best he give them a name before they tried to come up with one themselves.

Magnus liked this man. Blunt, straight to the point, and just as determined to find the answer as he was. Well, when he wasn't feeling like taking a break. "Salty? I was noticing that earlier too." He sniffed the air. "Now it just smells like marshlands and that damned volcano, though."
Texas offered what he had found, opening the palm of his right hand to reveal the acorn he had been fiddling with. "I found this a bit outside my house," he wasn't going to say that he had tripped over it, "which is rather strange because I live at the beach. Seemed a little weird, so I've been carrying it."
After letting Kane look at it, he drew the acorn back to himself. "The river might've washed it up, but I think it's still worth hanging onto. I usually don't see many acorns here period."
Magnus began to walk a little faster, with Texas jogging up behind. They weren't going to find anything if they just stood still. He only got a bit ahead of Kane, though, before deciding to resume a stroll. "Perhaps, but we'll probably find out more by exploring ourselves. I'm Magnus Vis, and that back there," he gestured to Texas, who jogged to catch up to him, "is Texas."
Texas glared mildly at being introduced by someone else, but he let it go. This really wasn't the time for a petty argument, not that any time particularly was. Three's a charm, right? And they had three people. Maybe now they could get some answers. "I think the saltiness is coming back."
------------
"Noel!" As soon as she heard her name called by that familiar voice, she looked up to the sky and started waving frantically until Noel joined her near the water. It was then when Aysu settled herself in the water, moving her arms to keep herself afloat.
Her cave was gone? What happened? Aysu looked horrified. "What happened to your home? Where's Cinna? Is she alright?" Of course, this wasn't the time to bombard Noel with questions. Unable to do much more, Aysu swam up to Noel and hugged her legs, unable to leave the water.
"Shh, shh, it'll be alright..." Aysu tried to be soothing from her position below Noel. "We'll figure out what happened and get you a place to stay while we find you a new cave, or something. And we'll locate Cinna, too," offered Aysu, assuming Cinna was gone because she wasn't with Noel.

Kane was puzzling over something as they walked, but he wasn't completely distracted. With his senses, he didn't need to be all that close to the acorn to smell it, and it had smelled...odd. No, not just 'cause Texas had been carrying it, fun as that comment might have been to be used if he wanted to start a fight. Ha ha. But, since the demon couldn't honestly find a better word to describe it than 'odd', he kept quiet about the matter, silently puzzling over the oddity himself.
He glanced over at Magnus, nodding briefly at the introduction. He wasn't a fluffy, pointless conversationalist, so he didn't answer with any of that 'pleasure to meet you' crap. Though, he had to admit, at least these two weren't half bad, compared to some Paes he'd had the misfortune of crossing paths with.
Kane was eager to get out of range of the volcano, and he lifted his head slightly to sniff the air at Texas' observation. "The sulfur's still there, but it's getting thinner," he agreed. Sulfur was a horrible, over-powering scent and Kane didn't even want to imagine how it might possibly screw up his future hunting in the area. Still, the salty scent was returning, that was obvious enough. It felt both heavy...and clean. How strange.
As much time as Kane spent in the wild, he thought he knew most every rock and bush in the area...but now, nothing looked familiar. It was as if someone had come along and just...shaken up the land, leaving things where they landed. He didn't like to think that he would ever possibly lose his way...
...but seriously, where the heck were they going right now? The sights and smells were all so twisted and foreign that even Kane was starting to feel a bit disoriented.
Still, he let slip in a soft murmur, "Don't remember that tree being there...or that rock..."

Magnus could be inflate his statements and speak as much small talk as he wanted... when he was in the mood for it. Right now, Magnus just wanted the answers. "The Marsh itself moved," remarked Magnus, glancing over his shoulder at Kane. "I doubt anything is quite the same, honestly."
Magnus didn't seem to be too affected by how nonsensical the idea of the marsh moving itself actually was. Of course, everything that they had observed so far today could be considered nonsense considering how the isle had looked just the 'night' before. Magnus figured that nothing made sense anymore, and honestly, he would be fine with it if he just had the reason why it made no sense.
Texas fingered the acorn in his hand, looking for anything off about the object. It just seemed to be a normal acorn. Well, a normal acorn that he had tripped over while walking on the beach, anyway. Not so normal anymore.
At least the smell of sulfur was getting thinner. That was an awful smell. The salty scent was new to his nose, but more tolerable. And at least it didn't carry with it Dragnid Forest or the chance of erupting and making lava swallow the entire isle... if they were even on an isle at this point.
Randomly, Magnus decided to comment, "I think we were sleeping for longer than a day. Kane, your senses seem kinda' sharp. You got any clue how long we were asleep?"
Texas quirked a brow. How would knowing that possibly help? "It would've had to be thousands of years for this all to happen naturally," remarked Texas. "I'm not sure if Pae'il even live that long. Unless they're the Guardians or something."
"Well, any clue as to what the hell happened would certainly be helpful." Magnus took a deep breath and then coughed. That volcano did smell horrible, even from a bit of a distance. "Right now, it looks like Telrunya decided it was time for a change just to irritate the ******** out of everyone, and even I'll admit that can't possibly happen."
Or maybe it could.

The changes had apparently disoriented Kane more than he'd originally thought and he had to keep reminding himself where he was in reference to Dragnid. That seemed to be in the same place for the most part...other than it's lovely new volcano addition.
"True enough," he finally commented, eyes closed for a moment with a sigh. The comment regarding his senses was both flattering...and true. Still, even Kane had his limits. "I can't say for sure, at least not until tonight when the moon rises. All I know is that it was definitely more than one night and it was completely unnatural," he growled softly.
He stalked on in silence for a moment before continuing, "I'm normally nocturnal. But something knocked me the hell out before the sun even finished setting. I should have been waking up, not falling asleep." His knuckles cracked as he clenched his fists in frustration, claws retracted.
He took a deep breath, forcing himself to relax before finishing. "Still, while I know this is unnatural, I don't feel like a large amount of time has passed. Not years or anything like that. But more than a single night, that's for sure."

Magnus found the growl oddly pleasant, but he quickly took his mind off that. This wasn't the time... "Well, that certainly explains why I felt so tired so unusually early. I don't usually rest my eyes until the early morning." Magnus was a night owl himself.
"What could have possibly put us all to sleep like that? And most importantly, why did they do it? A little warning as to what was happening and keeping us awake would have been fine, I'm sure," mused Texas aloud, not particularly talking to Kane and Magnus but also letting them comment if they so wished. Magnus only shrugged in response to his statement.
"Bah, no point in trying to figure out what the hell happened without more hints." Magnus fell into silence, a rather unusual state for him, simply taking in the scents and sights around him. While Magnus didn't usually take trips to the marshlands, he had to often go through it to get to other locations.
The faerie vaguely wiped some of the mud off his feet before continuing through the marshlands, moving a little slower than he had been before. Now, the faerie had enough of rushing around. While he was still moving, he began to fall a little bit behind, keeping a pace behind them.
Texas himself would keep quiet, choosing to stroll and think about the acorn that he had located. It was only when the marshlands came to a stop that he chose to comment again. "After the marshlands, there was usually just a lot of woods. And sky. This... not so much. When did we get water here?"
Magnus began to walk a little faster now that there was something of interest that had piqued his curiosity. "Water?"

Kane practically snorted at Texas' statement. "A little warning and everything would be fine? I doubt it," he chuckled. "In my experience, Paes tend to be scared, panicky animals when something goes wrong. If you look at it that way, then putting everyone out probably was a better option. Doesn't mean I approve of it or that I'm not PISSED as hell that someone decided to pull that s**t on me." He punctuated his feelings with a harsh snarl, picking up his pace unconsciously until he realized he was completely leaving the other two behind.
He slowed a bit, but let the silence endure. He was out of things to say for now anyway...not that he was much of a talker to begin with. Considering how long it had been since he'd last talked to another Pae, it was a small wonder his voice still worked.
The smell of salt hung heavy in the air, overpowering even the sulfur at this point. It made the air feel thick and sticky and the demon feline wasn't sure he was all that fond of the sensation. Also, there was something odd on the horizon...shouldn't he be seeing endless sky and clouds by now...surely they were close to the edge of the isle by now...
Where the river once flowed to the edge of the isle and off in a cascading waterfall, now it drained into a small cove, surrounded by rocks. And beyond...water. Lots and lots of water, with no end that even Kane's sharp eyes could see. Further down the former edge of the isle, sandy beaches stretched, also kissed by the great water.
The sight was so overwhelming, so shocking, that only two words came to Kane's mind, despite his decent vocabulary.
"...the hell?"

When he finally arrived near Texas and Kane, Magnus immediately looked out ahead. Water. Rocks and water. And a waterfall, leading into... more water. When had all of this gotten here?! Wasn't this supposed to be the edge of the Pae'il world?
"I... don't know." No amount of eloquent phrasing or not-so-eloquent swearing could really compensate for the confusion and shock he was feeling at the moment.
Texas hadn't initially agreed with Kane. Pae'il would still panic, sure, but at least they would have a reason to panic as opposed to the unknown monster that somehow crept up on them all. ...But after seeing the water that expanded forever, suddenly Kane's opinion was beginning to make a lot more sense. When had they gotten here? How had they gotten here? What sort of tricks had been played on them?
"Explains the saltiness," offered Texas, attempting to reason what had happened. Instead, he was just reasoning what was around them.
Magnus nodded vaguely, still too baffled by the sight he had never seen to get out much of a response. For someone who reacted with vague amusement to most of unexpected, seeing him confused for so long was a bit unnerving for Texas, as if seeing the expanse of sea ahead of them wasn't unnerving enough.
Eventually, he manged to get out, "Ya' sure we're still on the isle?"
"We have to be." Texas was too baffled to make any sense out of this. "This all happened while we were sleeping? What the bloody hell happened here!?" Now his words were becoming a little more colorful like Kane's and Magnus'. He could find nothing in his vocabulary that could even explain this.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Magnus remarked, "Your Guardians don't seem to be anywhere to help you now, do they?"
"Aww shuddap. This isn't the time, Magnus."
"I know it isn't. I just don't know what to do with this." Magnus dared to venture a bit closer to the horizon. Did the water ever end? Why was the sky so high above them now? Had they fallen from glory or something?

Alaera made it to the headquarters some time later. Her jaw dropped open when she saw the change in the building. A lighthouse? She knew it was a magical building but had no idea it could change it's own shape.
Not being one to stop and ask for directions or read signs, the demon just flung the door open and entered the building looking around warily. After a huge canyon suddenly appearing in the middle of her forest and now a lighthouse where headquarters used to stand, she wasn't exactly sure what to expect.
"Hello? Anybody here???" she yelled out. She really wasn't feel up to searching room from room for anyone else. She wanted answers! {{ Sorry I didn't have a chance to finish the post last time. If anyone wants another of my pae please ask. }}
