Chokolate Thief The big question currently at my school: Star Trek or Star Wars? What? You can't like both? I love both and have all the movies (except the new Star Trek).

I'm not very much into either, but if I had to pick, I'd go with Star Wars, the original trilogy. Not so crazy about the 2nd set.
But in terms of which has a larger fan base, I'd go with Star Trek, mostly cause they have the cooler fanbase/following name--Trekkies(sp?). Even if you aren't one, you know what it is.
What's the name for the SW following anyways?

I've got to say that the older films in the Star Trek series are a lot better. The new one was glamourous, and it was a good enough film, but the cast were so pretty and unrealistic. It was like Dawson's Creek Lost in Space. neutral

I've never been a big Star Trek fan, but I did watch Next Generation when it was on. And the new movie was good (even though many Trekkies didn't like it). I LOVE Star Wars. It's awesome!
They both have a large fan base so I'm not even going to try and guess which is bigger. But I do believe Trekkies are a little weirder than Star Wars fans for the simple reason that many Trekkies actually speak Klingon.

That's alittle hard for me. I grew up watching 'Star Trek Voyager' which in my opinion was the best out of all them. But that's just me. I love Star Wars though just as much. Being a big nerd and all that makes this a little hard but I think I'll have to go with Star Wars a little more sense I see that a little more now days.

Ya know, I like both now? Of course, that's because of the movie, but I can say no one really beats the other out.
