While Rhys was busy fighting off bandits and otherwise being cool, avoiding mortal injury and other such things, Amelia was busy with her own devices. Suited up in her armor, breastplate and shoulderguards and gauntlets and greaves and all, Amelia attacked her poor, beaten training dummy. Instead of using her actual lance this time, however, she had had the foresight to use a long staff weighted at one end to account for the spearhead.
This way, there was less repair work involved, and the same weight of the spear was employed. Amelia decided it was clever.
She paused after a while, leaning on the 'lance' and panting, a dotting of sweat across her face. The skin on her arms and legs were protected by a long-sleeved shirt and her thick leggings, making only the skin on her face and neck visible. She studied the dummy, stuffing unevenly distributed due to the whacking-around she'd given out.
"I've got a funny feeling," she murmured, looking over to the side. "Rhys has been gone for a while, and something doesn't feel right."
Do the math... he's either gotten into trouble or he's up to something, she thought. She paused, considered this, then turned to a cloth on the ground, wiping her brow. Whatever the case, he can handle himself, I'm sure.
[[She's not with the others, but there's a point to this, okay? ;D]]

"Nomad trooper!" Leon shouted. "That's my friend you're carrying! Get her behind Anri, she'll be safer!"
"If I can..." Sue said, gazing at three hand axes just itching to go flying.
"I'll hold them off." Leon assured her, taking his poleaxe, the weapon he wasn't supposed to use, while having his Javelin in the other.
With the Poleaxe, he swung and deflected one hand axe. The other, he threw his javelin into, making both weapons stop and land onto the floor. The last one went flying, shaving off a tad bit of Andre's hair, but that was all.
But that swinging motion had triggered the pain. Leon knelt, his right leg giving out completely. It wasn't like he was defenseless though. Taking the hand axe and javelin that had knocked themselves together and in the same area before, he wielded both weapons and prepared to meet his oncoming foes even if he was a sitting duck. Besides, Lord Rhys could handle himself.
Sue had put Leena behind Anri, who was still as a statue. It was almost eerie to see a horse being that still, and so covered in armor that it didn't even flinch. Was it alive? She had no time to think of it. Instead, she had to rush to the front lines. "Leena, stay behind there. We'll drive them off, I swear it on my Sacaen honor." Sue vowed. Then, with her regained speed, her and Andre rushed forward, just to pull Leon back to where he'd be in Rhys's healing range. "Don't be reckless. We need all the help we can get. There's... their leader, and then three more. I'm sure their close-range weapons are nothing to laugh at."
"Of course not." Leon nodded. "I'm prepared for anything... I'm a soldier. If I weren't injured, I'd be a lot more useful." The brunette guardsman held up both projectile weapons. "Thank you for getting Leena to safety. Now... I can aim more carefully."
"Will someone try to snatch her from your steed, though?" Sue asked him.
"Never. They wouldn't make it past us. Lord Rhys! Nomad Sue! Let's finish this and leave this district." Leon said, giving orders, as par his rank.
"Well spoken." Sue answered before aiming and firing. She was unsure if she hit such an obsure target.

The arrow sailed for Jherek, a sure shot indeed! It was sailing straight for his helmet--no, better! The narrow space in his helmet so he could see!
Jherek blinked his red eyes for a second, the only things visible behind the helmet. He moved quickly to his right, the arrow slamming into the side of his helmet. It got a bit of penetration, and he could feel blood trickling down his cheek as the arrow punctured skin. He pulled out the arrow and watched as the three remaining bandits rushed Rhys en masse, noting he used magic rather than weapons and therefore took more time to cast.
Rhys took the man in the middle with his powerful Light magic, the man's face melted by the holy magic. That left the other two. One swung his axe downward, but Rhys stepped back, the axe instead tearing through fabric, leaving the pale flesh of his chest partially exposed. The other jumped forward to bring the axe down on Rhys' head... but the Bishop dove forward under the other foe's feet. Trusting him to Sue and the others, Rhys' hand shot out, muttering the incantation rapidly, bringing another Light to bear on the first brigand. He tried to jump to the left, but the Light smote him on the leg, dropping him to the ground in pain.

Arashe walked out of the tailor's, glancing down at his new coat, gold trim shining in the sun. He only wore the best clothing, even if it meant going to the backwater sections of town to get it done by a master. As he glanced up at the passerby, Arashe had an awkward look, since, well, everyone was looking at him with what looked like an intent to pickpocket. With a scoff, he pulled out his dagger, slowly twirling it in his hand as he walked past. Filthy vermin! Go ahead and try to pickpocket me...
A tugging feeling on the back of his coat, near his pockets. Disgusting...
Whirling around, Arashe swung the knife horizontally, nearly hitting the small pair of children behind him. As tears welled in the girl's eyes, anger in the boy's, Arashe crouched down. "Oh, blast it all!" Arashe groaned, putting a hand to his forehead. "I'm so sorry, children! Don't worry, I'm not going to-" He grabbed them, diving backwards as an axe slammed into the ground where the children stood. Tch, barbarous fool!
Arashe threw the Stiletto directly into the bandit's skull, sending the behemoth toppling to the ground as he let go of the children, pulling out his bow. Looking towards the first corpse, Arashe saw another bandit rushing towards him. So bloody slow...
Arashe fired an arrow, sending it into the neck of the second enemy. Quickly vaulting to a stand, Arashe brushed himself off, pulling the children to their feet. Reaching down to pull his dagger from the first corpse, Arashe cleaned it off on the man's bandana, then turning towards the children.
"Don't lose your heads, pups, and follow me." Taking the girl by the hand, who in turn grabbed the boy, Arashe rushed through an alleyway towards the raucous sounds of combat.

Ganon played as he walked, strumming his guitar and taking the occasional direction from Blossom any time they came to an intersection of streets. He began to sing as he made his way slowly through progressively bad parts of town.
"As I walked out in the streets of Sentria, As I walked out into Sentria one day, I saw a young nomad all dressed in white linen, All dressed in white linen, and cold as the clay!
'I see by your outfit that you are a nomad!' 'I see by your outfit that you're a nomad too!' 'We see by our outfits, that we are both nomads! If you get an outfit, you can be a nomad too!'"
For quite a while, the simple fact that he was a giant and covered in scales would keep him safe from some of Eyris' less scrupulous inhabitants, but eventually they'd probably run into someone bold enough.

Blossom was quite happy to take the ride from Ganon, eventually resting against the back of his head, peering to one side of his long, droopy quills to see ahead. The sound of the guitar music and the steady click-clack-click-clack of his clawed feet was a nice accompaniment to the slight sway as he walked. She kept her fingers in his hair, intent on not falling off. The tails of her scarf fluttered along in the breeze.
Eventually Blossom came to singing along with him, at least for chorus parts. Hey, when someone sings a song long enough, you eventually learn the words too, right? So she joined in, her higher-pitched young singing voice meshing with his deeper voice. It was a strange contrast, but somehow it worked well enough. Blossom paid no heed to the people around them, eyes staring at the huge reptilian man carrying along a small girl with an oversized scarf and oversized sword strapped to her back.

The veil of darkness around Lance started to lift. Ungh...not again...
Lance, having a rare case of chronic narcolepsy as part of his Errant traits, tried opening his eyes. Rising to his feet, he felt his head throb. "Ugh...don't worry about me...it's just a chronic disease..."
As he managed opening his eyes though, he noticed that his present company no longer was present. It took a while for him to realize it, but he was suddenly alone. When it finally hit him, it hit him hard.
"...AH CRAP! THEY WENT ON AHEAD WITHOUT ME!"
Squatting down as he madly ruffled his hair, he had another fit of hysteria. "I mean, come on! Not only did they leave me, but they left me alone after I collapsed! Does that mean they don't care about me?"
He stood up again as he overdramatically stretched his body backwards while clinging to the back of his head. "Or worse, am I invisible to others?!"
He turned to the nearest person who was carrying a log for rebuilding, and within an instant closed in on the said person. "I'M NOT INVISIBLE AM I?!"
The man looked shocked before he hurried away quickly. "Get away from me you creep!" the man yelled as he disappeared around a bend.
C-creep!
Lance collapsed to his knees and then down to all four. It's not fair...I can't help to look like this...
What's worse, he had lost all of his happy-happy time from earlier, and was now more or less wallowing in despair. That is, until he heard a happy tune from down the road. Rising his head, he could make out the figure of one very big lizard, now carrying a girl on his shoulder. Not only that, the lizard and girl was both busy making sweet tones with their voices.
"Hey...I know this song!" Lance exclaimed to no one in particular, and then stood up with renewed vigor. He rushed over to the big creature, stopping short in front of the lizardman's face. He stretched both of his arms upright and waved. "Yoo-hoo~! Down here!" he almost sang, trying to get attention. Lance wasn't exactly the tallest man around, but no one should be able to miss seeing someone acting like this. However, as ecstatic as Lance was acting, he realized that he had collapsed in a pretty bad neighborhood, and he couldn't help but to notice the intimidating faces around him, and he almost shivered by the sheer pressure that hit him.
Something is about to happen...soon... he thought, but kept on waving happily to the reptilic creature, smiling like a goof all the time.

Sue didn't hesitate to stab the other bandit going for Rhys right through the front of his throat, before Leon could even aim his projectiles. "Milord... I believe there's still one more. They have a mastermind."
"You're right about that, Nomad Trooper." Leon nodded. "There's always a ring leader... the question is... where would he hide?"
All the while, they were hearing both the groups of Arashe and Ganon approaching.
The music was already being heard, even if only faintly. Such a lovely harmony.

Ganon stopped, blinking, and lashed his tail slowly as Lance ran around ahead of him. A friendly smile broke out on the reptile's face as he looked down at the vagrant and he chuckled. "Ah, Lance, there you are. You looked comfortably asleep, so we propped you against the wall to let you rest. Didn't seem to be anything wrong with you, I mean. Hold still."
Without missing a beat, Ganon's tail whipped out around and just over Lance's shoulder to wrap around the wrist of a would-be attacker. He pulled down hard, driving the man's knife into his own thigh, and as the man fell over with a cry behind Lance, Ganon turned, still playing, to face the man's accomplices, who were without doubt lurking behind the big reptile. He smiled a sharp, toothy smile. "Can I help you, gentlemen?"

Blossom gasped as Lance appeared, looking down to smile cheerfully. "Hi!" she chirped, waving back to him with one hand, still gripping onto Ganon's hair with the other. "Your name is... Lance, right?" she asked. Her question was reaffirmed when Ganon spoke up, though she didn't expect his tail to suddenly lash out, and Blossom gasped again. Attackers? Blossom looked around. Vaguely she realized the people around them, and she shifted on Ganon's shoulder. If they had ill intentions, they weren't going to get away with them.
She hopped neatly off of his shoulder, landing on the ground with a little shudder as the sensation of impact went up her legs to her knees. She recovered quickly, though, her hand going to her back. Her scarf had hidden it from sight, but within moments, she had her long broadsword in her hands, a cheerful smile on her face. "Try to be nice to our friends," she advised, sounding as peppy as ever. "I don't like it when people try to hurt them. And I'm not too keen on the idea of not being nice to you guys."

"C-comfortable?! You left me on the pavement!"
Lance would've gone on with some further outbursts, had it not been for the lashing of a lizard tail and the scream of a full grown man. Turning his head around, he saw the man that had collapsed behind him. "Aha! So my hunch was correct! That was a pretty nice distraction, was it not Ganny?"
Lance made a small jump backwards, then rudely pointed towards the men behind Ganon. "You there! We have already figured out your scheme!"
Lance retracted his arm and brought his finger up to his nose bridge. "Come now, you cannot look that shocked...it is, after all, the great Lance Dartel standing before you!"
He then started flailing his arms around into various poses as he recited some sort of motto. "Through the wind! Through the stars! Through the sky! Standing on a mountain high, it's Lance Dartel!"
A moment of silence was brought to a close as one of the men opened his mouth. "Who?"
Lance collapsed to his knees in an extravagant manner. I hate this world!

In the brief fray, Jherek moved off to the side, poking through the garbage for anything useful in this fight. Apparently, unlike most stupid travelers who came through here, these were STRONG stupid travelers who came through here. At least, they had to be if they could put down that many bandits without even breaking a sweat. Let's see... rotting fruit, always a nice improv for objects to throw... trash can lid, always a good makeshift shield... broken shards of glass, ahhh, always a good thing to have in a fight, never could tell when you needed it!
As Rhys finished off the last bandit with a second Light, Jherek reappeared in the alleyway, weaving around broken-down pillars and garbage, aiming to get behind Anri. That was where these travelers were hiding, so that's where they'd die.
He reappeared on the right side of the group, makeshift shield in one hand and sword in the other. On the shield were embedded several shards of glass; if anyone tried hand-to-hand combat and hit that shield, they'd get HURT. Maybe even contract a deadly virus or something, if they were unlucky. One never could tell with glass.
"..."
His great speech done, Jherek charged for Leena, his red eyes narrowing in a cold glare.

He- he's headed straight for me! That was Leena's thought, and she wasn't going to sit there and let him slice at her. She got on Anri's back, steering him now, as Leon had showed her how after being friends with her for a while. However, the Vendor was just dodging, being unarmed... They should know to hit him while he's chasing after me. He's distracted using an unarmed person as his target! If I call out, he'll see the attacks coming... so be quiet... believe in these fighters... Leena shut her eyes, while still moving Anri swiftly as she could without losing control and getting lost in a WORSE part of town. She prayed.
Leon was about to angrily shout, when Sue slapped her hand over his mouth. He took it off, his dignity now shot down. "What... what are you doing?"
"Quiet." The nomad said simply. "You can curse at him all you want for going after Leena later, but if you shout, you'll give away that you're aiming." The nomad whispered coldly. She then turned to Rhys and Leon. "Everyone, while he's distracted... aim your projectiles, and hit with the best accuracy you can." Her orders were in a low tone, and before they could blink, she already drew back a silver arrow.
Sue sent if flying in Jherek's direction, while Leon did the same, throwing only the handaxe after kneeling on his left side, his good side.

Jherek slowed down after chasing Leena for a short distance. Unarmed? That meant she could be dealt with later. Besides, she was on a horse, and horses are faster than feet. He turned around, and ducked as the silver arrow met his "shield". Silver arrow is stronger than light-metal shield, and the arrow punctured a hole through the shield and slid most of the way through before the feather at the end brought it skidding to a halt.
The handaxe crashed into the shield, but being of less-than-silvery materials failed to break through the improv shield.
Jherek peeked out from behind the shield. Neither Sue nor Leon hit, sure, but they made the bandit totally unaware of holy Light sailing down from above...
"YAAAAARGH!!"
Jherek screamed in agony as Rhys' Light sailed down, hitting him square on his forehead. He was still standing, staggering about, but that had definitely hit him HARD. With a scream of rage, he charged forward. He moved into a zigzag pattern, changing to what could only be called "zagzig" to keep Rhys from guessing his movement. Another Light like that, and he was finished.
Getting close, he brought his sword up toward Sue, their blades clashing with a loud CLANG. He rolled underneath Sue's arm and made to bash Andre's hind leg with his shield in an effort to cripple him.
EDIT: Sorry, Ashnard, but I'm gonna have to apply Rule #5 on your post.
