Kora shifted in her seat at the mention of the missions and the talent contest. Sure, Kora had neat powers; she was just to lazy to be a successful leader, and maybe a bit to quiet with secluded thoughts. Forget her entering once he mentioned the word 'compassionate'. The principal finished his speech, asking is there were any questions among the small crowd. Kora looked around, seeing if anyone's hands were raised.
Sighing, Kora raised her hand, not waiting to ask her question. "Sir, you speak of 'missions' that we will undergo soon. To be blunt, what will they involve, or what be the general idea or goal? Will they be simple exercises of our abilities? Will it be where we must sneak behind enemy lines? Will it involve... killing?" The last word was said with a hidden dread.

 Dr essex looked at the girl posing the question, recalling her face from the computer screen he had been studying this morning of all the intended students.
"Miss Maycle, these missions will sometimes be fraught with peril. Its my upmost wish that no-one should be killed or partake in killing, that said humanity seems to be nearing insanity and those of us whom are not homo superior seem to think that it is okay to treat those of us with powers as lesser beings. As a result conflicts are bound to spring up, you will encounter hatrid, you may find yourself in tricky situations, some may exercise your mutant abilities and some will hopefully exercise your humanity."
He felt stabs of regret, thinking back on things he had done in pursuit of power and knowledge.
"When the time comes you will be travelling all over the globe, helping to gather vital information. But I will tell you more about that on a different day when you're more prepared for those sorts of challenges"
Essex looked around seeing if anyone else had any questions. The large partially filled room remained silent
"If that is all, then you are dismissed."

She rested her case as she slumped even deeper into the folding chair. Obviously, that was all of the information she would be getting until the actual mission itself. As no one asked any more questions, Kora was glad to get this over with. Her secluded room and iPod awaited her. She didn't even wait for him to make the dismissal completely official as she stood up and out of the room, not even bothering to use the door as she simply went through it. Kora didn't even care that Chaos or Glitch saw her abilities.
As walked quickly down the hall. Why am I so eager to leave? It was a bit sad how reluctant she was to hold a genuine conversation now a days. But who could blame her? On the outside, she would appear bratty, snobby, selfish, and ignorant; on the inside she actually wasn't that bad. Kora felt like a pineapple, a hard and spiky exterior with a sweet interior. A moment later giving herself a strange look; she didn't even like pineapples. Sighing, she came to her door, this time opening it the 'correct' way. Snatching her iPod off of the shelf and jumping onto her bed, she played through her favorite songs a few hundred times.

Glitch had planned on walking back to her dorm with Kora but as they were dismissed she turned to talk to Kora only to find the girl had already gotten up and left.
"oh!"
Getting up she looked at Chaos, not sure she wanted to walk with him but feeling guilty and rude for not at least acknowledging him.
"Hey, you maybe want to get a bite to eat or wander around and figure this place out?"
She didnt do well with boys, or girls for that matter and secretly she felt a bit proud of herself that she was being a socialble as she was.

Chaos by name  * * * CHAOS * * * Chaos realised Glitch was speaking to him. The other girl had gone.
"Sure. I mean if you want to"
Glitch looked quite young in comparison to him, he didnt know how old she was, but equaly he had no intention of asking her, girls didnt like talking about their age.
As they walked he tried to think of something to start a conversation about.
"So what is it that you do. I mean in terms of power?"

Glitch looked at her hands, her power? She blushed.
"I talk to machines...no thats not it. I can become a machine. Like I turn into electricity and possess stuff. Its odd cause I can feel machines feelings like they were people. I can tell if a machine is sick. I can move the machine like it was my own body.."
She laughed nervously.
"Pretty odd huh. I guess yours if flying, only you didnt have wings when we first met, does that mean you can control when your wings appear?"
She thought it was pretty cheeky to ask him about his power, but he had started the conversation so it was his own fault

"My wings seem to be powered by darkness. If im in shadow or someplace dark they appear. I also seem to have the ability to blend into shadows. But honestly im still figuring it all out"
He suddenly broke out into a boyish grin that made him look much younger.
"Hey I'll show you mine if you show me yours"

She looked down at her hands again. She couldn't really control her power, she might end up hurting Chaos, or even hurting herself, but that cheeky grin made her want to at least attempt to show him what she could do.
"Ok, what should I jump into?"
She was still only just getting to grips with becoming machinery so she hadnt really jumped into many things. She ws curious to know what he was going to pick

Chaos by name * * * CHAOS * * * He looked around for something impressive for Glitch to possess with her power, as they were in the hallway there wasnt much in the way of electrical equipment.
Slowly walking through the building he looked around.
"Hey lets go outside theres bound to be cars or a ride on lawnmower you could go into"
He ran outside and sure enough some of the teachers had cars parked in the driveway.
"Jump into one of those. Go on. I dare you"
He folded his arms and spread his wings a little bit, to make himself look more authorative

Glitch followed chaos outside and saw the car he was pointing at. A pang of doubt stung her. What if she got in trouble. But seeing that smug grin on chaos's face her gaze hardened.
"Okay stand back"
She rubbed her hands together as if warming them up then took a run at the car. Suddenly she vanished.

Glitch opened her eyes to feel the car surrounding her. The wheels the engine the exhaust. It was all her. She giggled and the car revved. the headlights flashed on as she blinked. She walked up to chaos, which in reality meant the empty car drove right up to him.
Swinging her arm out meant the car opened its door. She couldnt talk to him for the car had no microphone but it was obvious she wanted him to get in

Skye sat in the canteen nursing a cup of coffee. The assembly had been brief but blunt and she wasn't happy. She had tried to find the headmaster after the assembly but he had been impossible to locate. It was as if he had left the building entirely but his car was still outside.
She had a bad feeling about this school that she just couldnt shake, but for the sake of the children she'd hang around.
There weren't that many students for the time being. She knew that Dr Essex had been very selective but surely this place wasnt simply for 3 students.
She took a sip of her coffee and sighed. She guessed she'd find out sooner or later what was really going on.

((I thought that there were more than three students, but that only three people were currently RPing students. That makes sense because then there aren't a lot of people missing the ordination and the school isn't empty, just full of not-currently-play-characters.))

(( LOL my original plan was for these students to be the first rather than there being an entire school full of children as the schools only just been started up. the schools just the beginning of the RP I dont intend for it to stay there))

((plus im not assuming that other people will join my rp. At the moment other than me theres only 2 people playing. Im going to go with the assumption that no-one else plays and then if some others do join in I can factor them in rather than hoping others come along))

Chaos was surprised to see Glitch vanish and then one of the teachers cars start up and drive towards him. Glitch had told him what she could do but part of him had still doubted it. It was eerie seeing a car moving without anyone behind the wheel. The door swung open and he folded his arms. He'd like to get in but the wings on his back would make it virtually impossible and certainly uncomfortable.
"That is quite impressive bravo"
He lightly applauded.
"But kiddo, I cant get in. What with the wings an all. So you can come out now."
