The ref came over to start the count on one half of the champions, as Stone was out of the ring at the time. Matt had grabbed the apron and started to get to his feet, his back hurting after crashing down upon the thin mats.

This was exactly the moment that Nuke had been waiting forward. Rushing at the far ropes, behind the ref, Nuke hoped to come back at Matt and leapfrog the ref, trying to hit Matt with a risky Dropkick!

Stone was caught trying to get back in the ring and was sent flying off the mat, right back down to the thin mats on the ground.

Nuke landed awkwardly, his stomach bouncing off against the top rope. As that happened, he landed on the apron, dropping down to the mats outside because of the strain on his knee.

Punk would hop down from the apron and charge at Nuke, looking to hit him with a hard clothesline while he focused on his leg.

Nuke was hit with the opportunistic Clothesline, taken down harshly against the outside mats. The crowd cheered Matt on, as Nuke was now feeling some energy and recovery within his injured knee.

The ref started yelling at Punk who had since backed off. "Get up, get in the ring!" He'd shout at Stone as he started to get on the apron.
Matt was now stiring, starting to crawl towards the ring apron,

Nuke looked up at Punk, and groaned as he made his way to his knees. Still keeping a steady eye on Matt's partner, he leant against the barricade.

Stone would force his way to his feet and roll back in the ring, the ref's count now at four.

Nuke had now gotten to his feet, his knee a lot better than when it was first attacked. Eye-to-eye with Punk, he ran at him, faking an attack and instead attempting to slide in to the ring.

Punk had jumped of the apron to avoid any contact and was just "punked out" by Nuke
Matt was still just getting up off the mat.

Nuke had gotten to his feet pretty quickly. With Punk still on the outside, and Matt starting to get up, Nuke felt a hint of nostalgia coming along.
Rushing forward, he attempted to hit the classic Fusion Cutter on Stone!

Punk would rush forward to the apron and try and grab Nuke's right foot, hopefully to trip him up.

Punk had successfully tripped Nuke and that gave Matt enough time to get to his feet. Looking to capitalize, Stone dashed at Nuke and went for a stiff clothesline.

After the distraction, Nuke wasn't in the frame of mind, and was caught hard with the Clothesline. He was lain out on the mat, looking up at the arena lights.
