Asali'jua gave a shrug of her pale shoulders (or as close to one as she could manage, lying on her side), continuing her tail's wriggling quest for freedom from Jabali's trap.
"I wish to," she answered, turning her head at an odd angle in order to look at her companions, including the new one who seemed attached to Matope, "But one lioness alone cannot hold lands; she cannot be a pride unto herself."

Gana... that was exactly who was on her mind. For the first time in her life she felt torn in two. Asali words hadn't straight out said that she had wanted companions, but Hani knew enough to see the hints behind these words. But, she wondered, does that include me? Something told her it did... her heart perhaps, because of its having got attached to Matope. Yet something told her it didn't... her mind, probably, always thinking logically and seeming separate from her heart. Her mind seemed to remember about Gana whereas her heart did not.
Having nothing to say in response to the other lioness' answer, she decided to stay quiet, even though it seemed like a million people were talking because her pride and mind were shouting at her for being so soft and kindhearted.
Rolling her eyes, the gray lioness flopped onto her side, maybe a little too casually than would be expected of her at this time. But, it was done already and so she couldn't just get back up and do it all over again... the others would think her crazy. Perhaps she was, though. Falling for handsome boys and being quiet, shy, and timid around strange lions? Never before had she met someone without being guarded, fierce, and yet forward at the same time.
Yet these lions didn't know her that well, and so was relieved of her worry that they might think her strange.
What Sehani wasn't relieved of, though, was her decision on whether or not she would follow Matope and his brother and 'caretaker'--if invited of course--or if she would stay in the Southlands, continue her search for Gana....

Jabali tilted his head slightly to the side, his expression comical, what with Asali's tail-tuft hanging limply out of one corner of his mouth. "cffft mrrr rrrft!" he started, finally relinquishing his target long enough to speak. "Count me in." he replied, eyeing Matope and the new lioness' interactions. Fervently, he hoped that his brother and Sehani would come, also--if he were completely honest with himself, the thought of moving on without his brother...was terrifying. Matope had, after all, been the one stable element in his life, up til this point.

Matope watched Sehani with intensity. Trying to pick through her mind, and find out what she was thinking about (although he had a feeling it might be Gana), the dark lion's eyes showed concern.
Turning his head first to Asali, then to Jabali, and finally to Sehani, he called out, steadily and with a lifted chest, "I would love to come." But Matope couldn't hide all of his emotions; there was still the slightest shiver of uncertainty. His orbs peered at the beautiful lioness next to him, as he waited for her to speak.

Asali allowed the plain relief to show on her face at the brothers' acceptance, but gave in to a slight chuckle as well...although what she was chuckling about, she didn't voice. Probably some unspoken crack about Jabali and counting. Now free, if a bit damp, her tail lashed back and forth, thumping against its former captor's chest.
She regarded Sehani now with a serious look, tempered by the cheerfulness of her amber eyes. "And you, Sehani? Or am I doomed to spend life with none but this pair of rowdy brothers?"

As Hani lay there, thinking, she knew that she would have to make a decision soon. Jabali had already said that he would acompany the older lioness to her birthlands. Soon after Matope had done the same. Asali hadn't spoken until a bit after the male beside her, but she knew that she would be expected to answer the same question.
This was a problem. The lioness knew not whether she should follow or stay behind. She had grown terribly attached to the orange-maned one beside her, but there was still her friend, Gana, whom she had to search for.
Hm... perhaps Gana had ventured off a ways to somewhere around said swamplands? If that was so, she could always go and look for him. And if he wasn't there and she was for some reason unhappy, then she could always come back to the Southlands, right? Yes, that was right. These new lions didn't seem hostile at all towards her and so she didn't think they'd do much to keep her from being happy.
All of these thoughts had run through her mind, before, during, and after the sunny lioness had spoke. If it weren't for her ability to multitask, Sehani might have missed the other's words. Glancing up from the ground, she looked at the three other lions around her. Matope, it seemed, was anxious to know her answer.
A slight smile came over her lips. "Hah, I believe I shall relieve you of said doom: Count me in."
It was either the fact that the male looked so hopeful that she went, or maybe because of the logic of her thoughts. Either way, though, the gray lioness had made up her mind.

Jabali smiled, flashing pearly white canines in a broad grin. "Good. Then we are decided. Now...when do we wish to begin?" he was all business, although even this was characterized by his usual playful grin. He was more pleased than he was willing to admit, that both Matope and the beautiful grey lioness would be accompanying them. A lot of the color would have leached out of his life, had Matope chosen not to accompany he and Asali to the swamplands of her birth.

The orange-maned lion's expression immediately perked up. "Hani..." He was obviously relieved. This beautiful grey lioness he had come to care so dearly for had decided to accompany the brothers and Asali. "Th-that's great!" the lion stuttered. Matope nuzzled Sehani softly, then whispered, so quietly it was scarcely heard, "I will always be ready whenever you want to search for Gana." His eyes peered into hers, expressing a loyal, reassuring glance.
Looking back up at Asali and Jabali, Matope commented (with a chuckle) in response to his brother's inquire, "Whenever the ladies wish to, I'd say?"

Asali'jua was, truth be told, very relieved that they'd all thrown their lots in with her; Sehani in particular, seeing as there seemed to be..something...there, between her and Matope. And she would not have wanted to find out what might have happened if 'Hani' had not decided to come.
"Well," she pronounced with a grin, pulling herself carefully to her feet, "Traveling is best done after a good meal, and a night of rest."
((Mm, if y'all want, we can end this here; seems a natural enough conclusion. But if you'd rather continue with it, that's fine too~))
