swiftpaw walked into the outskirts shyly, she looked around for any sign of cats, she knew she might not have a warm welcome if she met a un-forgiving cat,she lifted her nose in the air to see if she could smell prey, she smelled a mouse not far away, she started silently stalking the mouse through some trees, she crept behind it using all the skills she knew, she punced on the mouse and felt her claws sinking into prey, her mouth watered as she flipped the mouse into her mouth, she dug a burrow in the roots of some trees and settled down for a nap.
((im joining the outskirts now))

Ashes shook her head. "Badgers. Such pests, they are." She meowed. She sighed, and looked in the direction of her den. She thought for a moment, and sighed. "Alrighty, I suppose I'll help you. Just so long as you don't irritate me." She meowed, and the old she-cat grabbed Snow by the scruff with surprising strength, and drug her towards her den.
Briar heard and scented Swiftpaw entering into the roots of her tree. She slithered in and under and made her way to Swiftpaw's body, and jabbed her with her claws quickly in the rump. "Hey. I thought it was considered impolite to trespass on other's homes." She meowed irritably.

Snow's eyes were half-lidded with pain and her breath was coming in shallow gasps. "I...won't..." she murmured.

Ashes quickly brought her to her den and laid her inside. She slipped way into the back of her hollow log, and moved some stuff around. She brought out some herbs, her amber eyes narrow with memories. She chewed up the leaves which she didn't know the name of, and placed them on her wounds. She Took a lot of cobwebs, pressing them into her wounds. "Badgers really do irritate me." She meowed.

Snow let out a hiss of pain as the juices of the herbs sunk into her wounds, before sighing, beginning to feel the pain ebb.

Ashes wouldn't admit to where she had learned to use this herb. She looked at the young she-cat. "That's life, deary. You'll get used to feeling pain." She meowed.

Snow blinked up at Ashes, eyes shining curiously. "Were you always a loner?" she asked innocently. Her tail twitched as she felt another swift wave of pain, but it dissipated.

Ashes narrowed her amber eyes. "Yes, but I'm a rouge. There's a difference." The old she-cat meowed. Which was true, she had never been part of a clan. She had a sharp tongue no matter what she said. "Now don't go poking into my past. I have no interest in yours, and you shouldn't have any in mine."

Snow nodded respectfully. "I was taken from my mother by the badgers," she said.

Jez padded into the outskirts. She felt a mixture of feelings, she was happy she escaped her abusive two-legs but she was tired, hungry, and scared about how she was going to survive out here on her own. Not that her two-legs took good care of her but she could always feed herself on the plentiful amount of mice in the barn before her two-legs would catch her and lock her up in the house. She knew it was going to be hard surviving out here but its better than laying in her two-legs house starving to death.Dragging her exausted body to a log she flopped over to rest for awhile before she would attempt to hunt.

Resting against the hollow log she heard voices from inside, curious she poked her head in. Inside she saw two cats, one cat was tending to another cat that was badly wounded. "Sorry if I'm intruding I'm new so I didn't realize this den was taken." Jez said awkwardly realizing she was intruding. Noticing how badly wounded the one was she couldn't help but offer to hunt before she left, " Ummm... you two look kinda busy and I was about go hunting so I could bring something back for you two if you want."Jez offered disgusted at herself for being so softhearted. She couldn't help but worry about the wounded cat.

Ashes sighed. "Like I said, I don't really want to hear any sob stories. Sorry if mommy dearest isn't around anymore, but I don't really care all that much." She meowed. Her ears flickered as she heard and scented Jez. Ashes turned and looked at Jez. She snarled and snapped her jaws at her. "Go away." She hissed. For crying out loud, why can't anyone leave me alone? First that clan-cat jerk, then this bloody kit appears, and then this scrawny pest!.. She thought.

Snow nodded and looked up at Jez. "Hi!" she meowed happily, obviously beginning to feel better. "I'm Snow!"

Jez flinched as the older gray she-cat snapped at her. She was about leave when Snow greeted her, "Hi! I'm Snow!"She mewed happily. Jez saw the kit was looking better already"Hey, I'm Jez" She replied a little cheerfull, happy that Snow wasn't as hostile as her companion. "I'll go hunting now." Jez said quickly, noticing the other cat glaring at her, a clear warning that she wasn't welcome there . She made her way out of the log into the grassy feild. Bounding across the feild she stopped to scent for prey she saw a mouse only a couple of foxlengths away, stalking closer to it as quietly as she could. When she was close enough she pounced and killed it in one swift bite. She continued to hunt till she was almost to tired to stand she caught two mice and one shrew and also lost two blackbirds and one mouse. Jez wasn't that good at hunting yet, the prey out here was harder to catch than the mice at her twolegs barn.Jeez! I didn't expect prey to be that hard to catch. Jez thought as she made her way to the the entrance of the hollow log.She sat the two mice she caught in an area where the Snow and Ashes could see them. Sighing Jez walked over to a bush to eat her meal and lay her exausted body down, sleep came almost instantly.

Spying the two mice that Jez had lain in plain sight, Snow dragged herself to her paws, luxuriously stretching, before wincing as the pain in her wounds returned. Waiting for it to abide, she padded gently over to the fresh-kill, dragging both mice over to where she and Ashes were. Laying back down on her uninjured side, she nosed the other mouse over to Ashes and tucked into her mouse.
