Orcus jumped over the river and continued following the two. He kept quiet but he didn't have a menacing presence. With several years of tracking under his belt he had been able to keep his prey calm as he followed. He didn't even have to let them know he was following but they were just kids, he couldn't possibly be that mean.

Rayne started picking up wood as she walked along for the fire that night. She wondered what it was like to sleep in the woods. Surely it wasn't as bad as people say it is.

Orcus grabbed a rabbit as he followed. The restaurant food was good but nothing matched a good rabbit meat. He held it in his hand as it was suddenly engulfed by a fire. The meat was perfect and the fur fell off. Orcus cut open the rabbit so that the guts didn't ruin the taste.

Rayne stopped in a small clearing and threw the wood down in a pile. Shay came down and landed on a branch close to the ground. Rayne sat back as Shay worked his magic, and made a small spark light the wood. She grabbed rocks and placed them around the fire, throwing more sticks in as well. She sat down and let out a sigh, taking off her boots.

Orcus sat down on a branch and finished he rabbit. He crossed his legs and leaned against the tree trunk.

Hey, Rayne, I'm going to go catch me some mice or something. Want anything? "No I'm fine, go on." Shay flew off. Rayne had to admit that the ground hurt, but she'd get through it. She thought about her father and sighed. Why did you have to go...?

Orcus went into the forest o catch some food for the pair, if he followed them it was the least he could do. He returned to the fire pit with a gutted 10 point buck. "If you won't eat the entire thing then dry the meat afterward and hand it to me, i will be happy to carry it for you." He left the meat and walked back into the woods."

Rayne stared at it. "... I'm not hungry..." She glared at the thing and shrugged. She laid back while it cooked. Shay returned and landed beside her on the ground. Did Orcus catch it? "Yeah, Mr. Stalker-guy caught it." That was kind. Rayne shrugged and cut a piece of meat off with her pocket knife and gave held it out for Shay. He ate a few pieces and Rayne dried the rest out, which was pretty much the whole thing. She'd eat some in the morning if she was hungry. Rayne threw some wood into the fire and laid down, falling into a light sleep.

Orcus wrapped the dried meat and took it with him. He kept it a few branches away so that animal wouldn't be startled. He left some meat out for the scavenger and such.

Shay smiled with him. I wish I could have had the right growing up to do. Maybe it's me growing up as a hawk that makes it hard for me to hear as good as I could...

I'm guessing she doesn't eat much huh? It happens sometimes, don't worry. Orcus eat the meat.
