Okassis barked out a laugh at S'van's hapless inquiry. Really, this was just getting too easy, maybe it was time to let the poor guy have a break. Before he reverted entirely into a runny-nosed cootie-fearing little boy! "S'van, you really think you need protection with that goliath of yours around?" he asked in an astounded voice. "Quit cringing, shards!"
Shaking his head chidingly, Okassis stretched out an arm for his things, digging through the untidy pile he kept under the bed. Fishing around for a few moments, he produced a stack of paper, string-bound, and a piece of charcoal; rolling onto his side, he untied the string and flipped through several scrawled-on pages until he found a blank one, and began scratching down a few quick sentences, happy enough to let Nan continue teasing the brownrider without him.

Nandeli was doubled over laughing at S'van's reaction, hand over her mouth to try and stifle the noise. Shards and shells! Who would have thought that he would be such a baby in bed? No wonder he and Okassis hadn't done anything yet! Managing to settle down enough to answer him, the Nose wiped a tear from her eye as she said, "Yes, they really would. So you do have to be careful about it all." At the mention of sharing his bunk again she stuck her tongue out. "You already kicked me out and now you want me back? Nu-uh! You're on your own tonight, brownrider! You have to be a big boy now!" She lapsed into a fit of giggles again when Okassis echoed her sentiments. Poor poor S'van. One day he would look back on these times fondly, she was sure of it.
Sleeping positions? "Oh you'll learn about those later. Much later." Oh ho ho ho ho! "But we should probably get to bed before the Candidatemaster gets here and we have to explain this." Nandeli gestured to their little slumber party. "Not that I don't have a good excuse, but since S'van looks totally terrified I don't think it would work." Alas. There was always some downside to totally traumatizing the brownrider. But it was okay. She knew the perfect way to wake him up in the morning.
"Sleep tight Okassis, brownrider!" As soon as she kicked the cover over the glow basket she whispered, "And don't let the fangirls bite!"
