What do you think?
They're eating their cake, and having it, too.
Deep down, they believe abortion is wrong, so their subconcious causes them to sometimes speak the truth about the unborn babies' worth.
  Neither.

Ahh, okay. My results were this:

Economic Left/Right: -3.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.26

It's still hard for me to understand, but at least I know now.

Basically you're pretty much central on social issues (death penalty, abortion, gay marriage, drugs etc.) so you're neither liberal nor conservative. And you're left on monatary issues (so you're more for helping the person and not the coorperation) if you put that in "liberal" "conservative" terms you're more liberal in economics, this means you're more of a "socialist".

Alright, I see now. Thanks for explaining.

They have the numbers thing. They tend to group together and with most of Gaia being composed of younger people, they have more numbers on their side. If you listen to enough people say they're right with no one to support that you are right, eventually you start to second-guess yourself. Most people anyway, it's hard to be alone in something like this. Here is a community of people who support those beliefs, though, and understand what you're saying, even if they don't always agree.

Liberal and conservative mean different things in different countries, don't forget. Terje defines himself as liberal but laughs heartily at a lot of the things liberals do here. Norway is the most conservative liberal place I've ever heard of. I guess they can be because they've got a smaller population.

In response to everyone, vehemence means the argument is weak.

Think about it.

You've just accuratly explained why I used to feel wrong about being a Pro-Life Christian in a Pro-Choice Pagan World, when I didn't even know why. Thanks! Wow, it took all this time. whee

Let's put it this way, we now know how hard it was for Martin Luther King Jr. to do what he did, but know how easy it was for Germany to follow Hitler.

A study along time ago was done on peer pressure. A group of nine boys were taken into the experiment. 8 boys were put into one room, while the ninth was set by himself.

All nine boys were shown a card that had three lines on it. The lines were labled A, B, and C. And form top to bottom they went form longer to shorter. Now, in this experiment, line A was refered to as the "Right line" and the lone boy was told thins, the gorup of eight were not.

They lone boy was told to raise his hand each time the professor pointed to line A, the group of eight was told to do the same when she pointed to B. They did this several times with them seperated, and then did it with them toghether.

In the begingi , about three to four times, boy A raised his hand for A, even though his friends were raising for B. SLowly, he began to raise for B. When asked why, he replied that he didn;t want to look diffrent or foolish infornt og his friends, even though he was mackign the wrong choice.

The experiment was doen on several other groups. Boys, girls, varring in ages form eight to 18, and the result were all the same in every case but one. It was an experiment on peer pressure, and was done to test how easly swayed young people were. It was a tottall sucess as far as the scientific comunity was concerned

Yeah, that's even easier for me to understand, thanks. Of course, not saying that Pagans are evil, or anything. Just saying, there was a lot of pressure on me whenever I went to that thread in the ED filled with Pagans (and a Wiccan). And I'm sure it would have been just as pressuring if an Atheist was a member of a huge Christian website.

And Oracle, that is a really interesting discovery. It's really neat!

Nah... We learned in "Baby-sitting class" (Years ago... ^_^; wink that you can't kill yourself by holding your breath. xp You just pass out and start breathing again.

Unless you forcibly close it with, say, a rope. But just stopping breathing wouldn't kill anyone.

Gah...i forgot about that. I rmember how much fun i had that night of my first baby sitting. The little boy tried ot pull that ploy on me. He held his bredth and I just sat there smilign and watching, nearly burstign out laughing as he started to look worried. Thankfuly he didn't knock himself out, he just stoped, breathed, and grumbled as he foudn him now too light headed to want to stay up.

Dang I wish I had a job right now. sweatdrop

You and me both buddy. I need about 200 bucks to mod my computer just to make it decent enough for gaming.

Same here. Except I have a laptop. So I can't mod it. So I need something more like 1000 dollars so I can buy a computer for gaming. gonk

'Course that was the plan anyways. I'm going to get a job at the beginning of next semester for that sort of stuff. 3nodding I tried to get a job at Target yesterday, but they won't hire me because I'm going to be out of town over Christmas. Actually, out of state and halfway across the country. sweatdrop

Then when I got home I gave my last $10 to a homeless guy, and then I found out I only had something like $120 in the bank. sweatdrop And that money's for food and drink for the rest of the semester.
