my hubby's not into "wizards and magic" when it comes to sword & sorcery type movies, but he's watched all 4 movies with me, and has read the first three books so far. My roommate has watched all 4 movies, and read the last 2 books, he doesn't want to read the first 4 because he doesn't want to "ruin the movies." blaugh

The books are way better than the movies only cus of all the detail that the movies don't have. But the movies are good too! I did the midnight sale thing for the 6th book and will probably do it again for number 7!

I'm surprised that not much information about book 7 has come out yet. Usually by now there's tons of rumors based off real info floating around. But all I've heard, thus far, are still the old rumors floating around from the end of HBP.

May of 06 is the last entry! Jk has announced the last book will come out July 21st 07. Finnaly the answer to "Is Snape truely eveil or was it all a ruse" can be answered.

Personally I think it was all a ruse anyone want to debate me on this issue?

I have listened to all the Jim Dale audiobooks many times they are awsome. I get them out of our library over and over again.

I am so excited about this! I really hated harry potter when I first read it, the first two books I thought were terrible, but the third okay, I really got into it though when I read the 4th book, and now that the story is going I like the first books too.

I think Ill make a day of it with the book release, go see the movie then go to the midnight release, hehe. It was a lot of fun last time to go to. smile

I think its an interesting title to the last book though. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Yeah, the there are lots of theories about the title biggrin

I think one of them is comparing Hallows to Halloween and the separation between spiritual world and this word being very thin during that day. May be Harry will be guided by his parents and friends spirits through his battle that day eek

My hubby and I are planning on doing just that. I've always loved Harry Potter and the universe, and I managed to get him into it, and now we're always discussing the books and movies.

I really want to see Order of the Pheniox. I'm so looking forward to seeing the scene with the Weasley Twins done on screen!

I know, I'm so excited about that part of the movie. I saw part of it in the international trailer and it looks awesome. ^_^ I'll be seeing the movie on Monday. But I have a reserved copy at the Midnight Magic party at Hastings by my house. From the looks of their schedule its gonna be one huge party.

I was reading an interview on MSN with Daniel Radcliffe and he said by the feel of things he actually thinks Harry is gonna die in Book 7. eek

Rowling has hinted that she might do so as she'll never write a book about adult Harry and the prophecy would make it seem that way. That's fairly old news though and I remember when people were horrified by it. That must have been back around book 3 or 4.

3nodding Only have 10 days to wait and then I guess we'll all know.

OotP movie wasn't as spectacular as I was hoping it would be. The media put out a lot of hype that I don't really thikn the movie lived up to. However, it was very enjoyable. I think they spent a little too much time on Umbridge and not enough time on specific events that happened in their 5th year. And I think it all progressed a little too fast to really get into the movie; but all in all I liked it.

I'm so excited about Friday night. I'm getting off work at 10:30 and driving straight to Hastings to get my book. I'm so excited.

Ugh, I've been so angry about all the leaks on the internet. My boyfriend already knows who dies and the end of the book from the leaks. I've threatened him with a slow, torturous death if he tells me.

I've been avoiding anything to do with the book online because of that.

3nodding I also just saw the OoTP movie. I agree it was way too quick and not as enjoyable as the books. I always feel they focus on the wrong things and cut the wrong ones out. But overall it wasn't terrible and if I hadn't read the books, I think I would have liked it much more.
