It's okay! Everyone has to learn somewhere, right? Read the Subforum rules. One of the posts gives you step by step instructions. smile

I meant with a scanner...I have a printer that doubles as a scanner, but I don't know how to scan my pictures and get them onto files...

When you installed it you should have got a shortcut to scan from your computer (should be in your programs if not). Failing that go to the manufacturers website and they should have a driver you can download for it for free

Okay, I'll put up another tutorial for how to scan items too. ^^ I don't have time at the moment to do it, so I'll just give you a brief tutorial here.
1) Put the picture you want on the scanning glass 2) Hook up the USB [Or Wireless connection if offered] from your scanner/printer/copier to your computer 3) Open up your prefered photo editing program. xxxxxxxxxxFor Vista, I advise you use Windows Photo Gallery. It comes with the basic options when your computer is set up. Look for it in your programs list. Next, File>Import from Camera or Scanner>Choose your Scanner from the list Import>Preview>Scan Then, tag the picture with your title and look for it in your Pictures Folder under your User Name in your Documents section. After this you can use the tutorials posted to help put them from your computer onto this website. xxxxxxxxxxFor Other, I advise you use programs such as Paint, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Elements. Generally speaking, you go to the File tab and you select an option for Import or sometimes, you're prompted for the Image Source. It will scan it into that program, and then you can save it to your computer from there.
Does that help? If you need me to, I can look into it farther. If you don't have any of the programs that I've listed above, then open your Image Editing software and search the Help section for Importing images. There is a "Scan" feature on your scanner, but I believe that's for forcing a scan. I'm not as familiar with pushing that button since I always import it through another program.
