William of Orange was our King not too long ago, in the 1800's, and was actually from the Netherlands. We kicked out our monarch for his/her religion (can't remember who exactly), and asked William to take the throne.
He then fought off the attacks on Northern Ireland by Wolfe Tone in 1798, and was seen as a national hero as well as a true monarch.
So, yeah, our Royal Family's from all over the place..

You claim to be a heavy englshman, but you have Bon Jovi in your sig. Jovi was a Cowboy Rock artist. but yeah, the english monarchy has been weird since the Roman invasion of "Europa". made worse by king James. That guy was an a*****e.

That's because Bon Jovi is one of my Gods. There's a few, including Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Anthony Keidis (RHCP), Brandon Boyd (Incubus) and Matt Bellamy (Muse).
