The dread weighing down Lee's thoughts had passed as it became clear that she would be set free soon enough. Though, Trystan wasn't exactly the super-scary assassin he'd been when he'd first showed up, so the want to throw him out as soon as possible had faded. Lee smiled faintly to herself at Trystan's words. She envied him slightly, knowing that he had the kind of life she was now fantasizing of. She'd have to stick to the "bunk with" someone idea, as Lee finding a job outside of her parent's influence was very unlikely. Now, to find someone to put up with her and Lauss. Good Luck.
Lee was relieved to hear Trystan's lie about the man's fall down the stairs. One less lie she'd have to think up herself. She was not, however, happy to have to take charge with the conversation bit. "He's Henry," the girl stated bluntly, not thinking to give a last name. "Do you need to know our names, too?" she asked, motioning at both Trystan and herself. She was utterly clueless when it came to this kind of situation, and it showed quite clearly.
She couldn't help but wonder about the guy's condition. "Is he gonna be alright?" She looked past the woman into the other room.
Lauss, meanwhile, felt the need to be useful while being locked away. He started sorting out the food items, bigger boxes and packages going to the back, and smaller cans up front. As he worked, he was interested in what exactly was happening "on the outside." Crux had been able to detect others that were out of sight before, why shouldn't he be able to do it now? "Do you know what's they're doing out there, Mister Crux?"

Trystan had no intention of being the super scary assassin that he'd been pinned as at first. It wasn't that he didn't mind being scary, it was that in all truth, Trystan was more like a teddy bear then anything. A teddy bear... hiding in the skin of a cactus perhaps. Watching the girl smile faintly, Trystan made a sort of "aha!" sound, and waggled a finger at her. "See? I make enough sense." He chided like an adult, even though he really wasn't. To her, he might have looked it though. And that was enough for Trystan. Wondering what Lee was thinking about, Trystan hummed as he guiltily reminisced about his own young days. When he'd moved out, it had been a piece of cake. Mostly because he'd gone down with a bang with his best friend at the time. Now his best friend lived a floor down from him, and couldn't help but make Trystans poor mind ache everytime he talked to the redhead.
When the other officials came back, asking for names, he let Lee handle it. Up until the point that they themselves were asked for names, and Trystan shrugged, pulling in to save Lee from doing any sort of lying for him. "My name is Bishop." He said in a sultry voice that caught the woman off guard with a tinge of red. "Bishop Summers." Oh, he loved making up cover names. It was fun, watching men and women fall head over heels for the lie. Sitting back, he let Lee handle her own name giving and turned his head, eyes glazed over for a moment. This commotion would have caught the mens attention by now, and they'd certainly be on standby. The perfect time to leave wouldn't be until right when the authorities left.
Looking over when Lee spoke up to the woman, he turned, cocking a brow at her and putting his elbow on Lee's head in an affectionate kind of way. "I'm sure he'll be fine." He said, making the other woman jump and turn to him with a nod. Smiling shamelessly, he ruffled the other girls hair in a fake-older-brother-affectionate kind of way. Actually, fake or not, it felt pretty geniune. "These guys know what they're doing."
Crux watched with a slight hum at the other other, curiously enjoying the sight of Lauss rearranging everything within the pantry. What an interesting Proto. Crux was somewhat amused. "What they're doing out there?" He repeated slyly, not as interested in what was happening outside as Lauss might have been. After all, unless Trystan was in danger, it didn't matter much to him. However, Lauss had asked... Thrumming a bit, his scanner glittered, and Crux turned to the other. "Nothing of importance. Men and women are tending to Henry as of now. Lee and Trystan are...." he paused, awkwardly fumbling with the word. "Conversing."

Lee felt like hitting him and saying something along the lines of "Stop being nice, damn you," but had managed to learn from her earlier mistakes that hurting those stronger than you was a bad idea. She had no intention of liking this person, but... this jerk wasn't being a jerk. She took the role of the pestered little sibling it seemed, both admiring and hating the elder for being superior. She folded her arms, though it was clear that her new-found hopeful outlook hadn't faded just yet.
Lee was about to ask "You're last name is Bishop?" when it dawned on her that he wasn't being entirely honest. So... if he was lying, does that mean she should, too? She didn't have anything to hide, though, right? After all, she was the damsel in distress here. "I'm Lee." She felt a bit strange introducing herself. That part was usually taken over by her parents. No need for a last name, right? They could just assume it was the same as Trystan's... Or, Bishop's. She looked up at Trystan, searching to see if perhaps she'd messed up yet, and found he was preoccupied elsewhere.
Lee tried to move her head from under his elbow, but ended up just messing up her hair. It didn't matter, though, as it was further tussled soon after. She couldn't be upset, however, as it was good news. No one was dying. Looking away, the girl couldn't help but sigh at Trystan's words of praise to the officials. "Quit trying ta be charming," she muttered under her breath. Not nearly as scary when there were authorities around, was he?
Lauss merely nodded at Crux, continuing onto the upper shelves. "Miss Lee doesn't often receive guests." He thought to himself that it would have been nice to have been allowed to speak to them. They'd have so much to tell him, he imagined. So much to teach. "Does Mister Trystan allow you talk to his guests?"

Ahaha. Being nice, eh?
It wasn't such a bad thought, really....
Trystan watched the girl as she started to look like she wanted to hit him again. He wasn't that bad, he knew that at least this time it was only because he wasn't being the jerk he should have been. Siblings.... The thought didn't actively cross his mind, but Trystan seemed to have taken the role of big brother quite flawlessly, in the last few minutes. From lecturing to ruffling the girls poor hair, he'd become something of a nuisance, but in a way that an older brother would bug a younger sister. It was almost laughable. Almost. Trystan, however, was too stupid to really think about being a surrogate sibling to another person unless the information that he was doing something as absurd as that was pounded into his brain. Even if Lee made him tick in a way similar to a brother, he wouldn't even notice it. Trystan was smart in a lot of things. Family connections was not one of them.
When he gave his name as Bishop, Trystan half expected Lee to blow his cover by asking a silly question. He was used to lying like such, but he doubted Lee had really lied before to the authorities. She hit him as the type who wouldn't go against any sort of law unless there was a gun to her head. And even then... Trystan pushed the thoughts from his mind and glanced over at the girl as she gave her name. "Cuuuuute." He said obnoxiously, ruffling her hair with a charming grin on his face. He swore that one of the girls swooned at the way he was acting. Keep playing along, his eyes said as he grinned harmlessly at her.
Tussling her hair had probably become one of Trystans present favorite pastimes. It was fun, easy to do, and she didn't launch herself at him with fangs bared if he tried it. When she told him to stop being charming, Trystan blinked, eyes widening for a moment before feigning a look of hurt. "You dont like me being charming?" He responded, a bit of a pout on his face. And then a sultry smile escaped as he played along. "Or perhaps you just dont like me being charming for other people." Running an elongated finger nail along the girls cheek and chin, he lifted her face to his with a playful smile. The women in back had probably hitched their breathes. Trystan had enough ego to believe they wished to be in Lee's place right now. "Ah, that is it, isn't it?" A chuckle rose to his throat. He was playing the perfect gentleman. "My apologies, I shall only do this for you. I didn't know it upset you so much."
From within the pantry, Crux hummed a bit, furthering his interest in Lauss by examining the other thouroughly. "Really? She seemed like the social type to me." Crux said distractedly. Rich people... they held lots of events and parties didn't they? Was Lee different? They were also quite popular, or so Crux had been led to believe. "Guests...?" Crux ran the information over in his head. There were few of them... but... "We dont have many guests. Mikhail drops by frequently however, and I am allowed to talk to him... He is a close friend though. Usually, I stray to hiding when there are strangers in the apartment. Trystan doesn't like them seeing me."

Lee'd never had siblings, and truthfully, never wanted any. The way they were described by friends sounded quite unbearable. If Lauss was any indication, she only recently could relate. But... Trystan's level of annoying was exceeding anything she could have imagined. Messing up her hair, poking fun at her, and generally being a nuisance. She'd likely never think of him as the big bro he was being and she was unconsciously seeing him as, and always as the "meanie who broke into my house."
Wha did I do? Lee looked back at him confused. She was older than he kept making her out to be, that jerk. She wasn't "cute" anymore. I'm practically a woman now. Geez. She rolled her eyes at the thought. His perception of her was much more realistic, but she didn't know that. Restraining that desire to swat at his head was getting difficult. Lee noticed, too, that the women were a bit distracted. You're kidding... She glared at them a bit, not necessary being protective, as it might seem, and thinking something more like "do you job, please."
Her eyes fell into a glare after the initial What's he doing, oh god, oh god had faded. "I said trying." Wait, wait, wait. "N-no, that's not..." Her eye twitched at the thought. "I wasn't... no, you didn't..." and she couldn't help but blush at his confidence. She lifted her arms and started tugging his hand away from her face. "Stoooppit. So stupid..." the girl whinned. She darted a look to the ladies in the back, and, taking her frustration out on them, peeped a "Shouldn't you be focused on Henry right now?" These people. And they call themselves professionals. She suddenly feared for Henry's well-being again.
Lauss, finished with his chore in the pantry, turned to the combat proto. "I don't know if she's social. Perhaps she speaks to many friends at school." He tilted his head. How lucky she was; school sounded magical. "There are few visitors that come for Lee, though." He noticed a can of corn was in the area with the beans, and quickly changed its position accordingly. "Our masters sound similar, then." Lauss nodded to the other proto. He didn't know if it bothered Crux that he was kept in hiding (and probably didn't care), but he knew it bothered him, and he could almost sympathize with his "brother".

Siblings, eh? Trystan on the other hand, did in fact have siblings. Of course, in a household with brothers who tend to act more like a pack of wild dogs then anything, it was a bit hectic. To Trystan, it was nice to play older brother to a girl who wouldn't try and bite off his hand if he did anything stupid. Not that he even realized he was doing it, however. Simply that the way he was playing with Lee almost made it seem like he was a cross between an older brother and a big pest. However, the meanie who broke into her house was a nice title too.... And fitting, in most senses, right?
Quite the contrary, Lee was cute. Trystan didn't find many things cute in that world anymore, and since most people he interacted with could hardly be considered anything near to adorable, when he'd met up with Lee, he'd instantly found her to be a fresh breath of air as opposed to the places he'd been raised in. Perhaps Lee didn't realize that though, not that most people would. She was basically a normal citizen, and normal citizens were hard for Trystan to come by... and hang around for more time then it took to kill them. Noticing the girl looked like she wanted to swat him, Trystan chuckled wryly, and simply smiled when she glared at the women, turning his eyes to them with an almost dangerous glitter.
"You're stuttering." Trystan stated fluidly towards the girl, a smile on his lips. "See? You can deny it all you want, but your body language tells me a whole other story." A chuckle left his lips at the eye twitch, the blush. It reminded him of himself, and in a twisted manner, he was glad that he was able to hide that side of him much better then how Lee hid it. Being tugged at, Trystan took his arm away, a bit of feigned hurt on his face. "I thought you would have liked it." He said softly, and then grinned in a predator to prey manner. "Stupidity is a matter of perspective, and most people would find this charming." He hummed, sliding a hand around Lee and pulling her close with a airy laugh. When the girl turned her attention to the medics, he gave them an apologetic smile instead. Everything was going as planned. Finally, they went back to doing their jobs, whispering and mumbling. They were almost done, and Trystan almost felt bad that he wouldn't get to tease Lee as much as he would have liked.
"Perhaps? You do not know?" Crux tilted his head to the side and nodded a bit. "I suppose that is plausible though. School is filled with people, and it would be a hard place to hide in." He hummed a bit, wondering what kind of lifestyle Lauss and Lee led. The two seemed to be complete opposites of Crux and Trystan, after all. "They do seem similar. Though I am sure as we grow we will not be kept in hiding as much. Or at least that is what Trystan has admitted to me." Crux watched the other swap the positions of a few cans. How peculiar. "is Lee a good owner to you?"

Why was he laughing this time? He enjoyed this too much. At least she wasn't being killed by him, but in all honesty, being teased wasn't a whole lot more favorable. She looked back to the women, who seemed to be working as they should have been all along, and thought to herself. They must be wondering what kind of relationship she and Trystan had. First a possible brother sister duo going on, and now... something very disturbing. She put her hand to her forehead at the thought. This was so embarrassing.
And it only got worse. Agh! "That doesn't mean anything." Lee made a conscience effort not to stutter. She shook her head, face reddening even more; he was taking it all wrong! That jerk! She turned to the side after his hand was gone, covering her face again in utter humiliation. "Why would I like that?" the girl's hair bobbed back and forth as she shook her head with slight frustration. If only she could kick him again. Just a little one. Just enough to annoy him. "Do it to one of them if it's so charming. They'll hit you or something." She waved a hand in the direction of the emergency workers before she was pulled toward the enemy. "Uhhhh!" Her half sob-half yell was muffled by her hands and she looked to her feet. "You're so embarrassing..." a small peep of a whisper escaped the girl, though she didn't quite have the will power to pull away.
Lauss tilted his head at the other proto's question. Was that abnormal? "She... doesn't tell me." Lauss' thoughts were carried to going to school once more. "I hope that someday, when I am grown, I too can attend school. It would be quite entertaining." He nodded to Crux, happy to know that he wasn't alone. "I cannot complain. She doesn't enjoy studying, though. I don't understand her most of the time. Would you say the same of Trystan?" He was under the impression that they got along very well. Perhaps they did, considering the circumstances, but they weren't anywhere near civil.

Oh, he did enjoy this too much. Most Chevaliers would just call this the human blood kicking in. They didn't usually laugh when they were in tight situations like Trystans. But the hitman couldn't find it anymore hilarious how Lee was acting. Then again, going years without women who actually blushed and pretended to be modest at the first sign of a compliment, it was hardly unexpected that he would take a keen interest in the fellow Essentics owner. The confusion on the medical teams faces were also quite humorous. How could anyone let a chance like this slip them up?
"Sure, it doesn't, Mon Cheri." Trystan purred into her ear, his voice almost vibrating against the younger girls skin. "Keep telling yourself that. Just dont expect to snag the boys in such a manner." Finally one of the medical team arrived in front of them, timidly informing them that they were going to be moving the man to a hospital for some unimportant medical reason that Trystan hardly cared to bother with. Nodding along, he gave a charming smile, but stayed silent, allowing Lee her chance to say anything before the medical team flitted off again, starting to move the unconscious man onto a stretcher. "They wouldn't hit me." He returned, after the other medical people became busy in their work. "They would love it. You have no idea, the seduction of adults." The half demon shrugged listlessly however, purring. "However, since you yourself are not even close to being one, it would make sense." Laughing out when she called him embarassing, Trystan just ruffled her hair some more with one hand, keeping a loose hold while the medical team started to disembark from their house. "Dont worry, I'll be gone soon enough. And then you wont have to deal with my embarrassing ways again." He said freely, with a hint of a smile on his face. At least this time he'd actually completed the damn assignment.
Crux would have blinked, had he eyes, and tilted his head ever so gently to the side. "She doesn't tell you?" He commented and thrummed. Perhaps the relationship was different between the girl and Lauss then him and Trystan. "I see. That is.... strange. Usually, I am allowed knowledge of what Trystan is doing and feeling through our connection." He hummed loftily. "I suppose it is different between you and Lee however?" He shrugged, watching the scaly Proto for a moment more. "You seem like the type to enjoy school. Hopefully you will be able to. More information, more happiness it seems..." He trailed off, contemplating that. "Not understanding?" He repeated as the conversation took another curve in a strange direction. He would have smiled a bit, had he a mouth. "I haven't the faintest clue what is on Trystans mind. I may know what he is feeling, and what he is doing... But what he is thinking and how he works has always been beyond me." Crux scanned again as he thought all of this information over, noting that men and women were quickly leaving the area. "Its irritable at first, but I've learned to go with it. I trust him well enough, even if I dont understand him."
