The static build up in the air reached a climax before the unit shut down with a loud and violent roar. Holly sighed as she placed the cable that she had just ripped from a socket, to stop the mech's pressure disruptor from firing. Still... At least a damaged cable was better than whatever the weapon happened to target imploding from the sudden rise in air pressure.
Holly dropped from the arm of her mech, 8 or so feet to the ground to be precise. She scowled at mess that was the pressure disruptor. A shock round had pierced the weapon directly. She had had no choice but to shut it down. Hearing the commotion froom the other side of the garage, she smiled. Another pilot had managed to get on the wrong side of Lillian.
Holly really needed Lillian's advice. Though it was most likely better to leave her alone for a few minutes to cool off first.

The wrench flew wide, bouncing with a pitiful ping of the mech's massive left shoulder. Strakhov looked back, to watch enter her office, and turned back his work, slowly and procisely removign the coils to be cleaned. "Civilians," he said with an exasperated exhale. "Can't work with 'em, can't work without 'em," he intoned sagely, jumping a bit as a loose cord zapped his exposed upper arm, right below where his sleeves were rolled up.

((Gorman, you can choose to or not to, and when Randall appears to give you some help.)))
A plastic cup bounced off the inner window, near the door of her office. Lillian had watched it, but she didn't see it land. Something through the window had caught her eye, an regular client of the garage. Her eyes widened and she hurried out of the office, closing the door quickly behind her. "Oh, Hi!" she said, suddenly realizing that she couldn't put a name to the face she reconized so readily. "Are you still driving that old SHAM?" She asked, smiling.
((SHAM, she says 'sham' the word, but it referring to 'stealth heavy assault mech'. Your mech image has it looking like a much older model than the others posted in profiles.)))

"Morning Lill" Holly lips formed into a broad smile as Lillian appeared from her office. "It's still better suited for the job than the newer models, even though parts are harder to come by now." Holly grimaced at the mention of spares before pointing up to the cylindrical object bolted to the left arm of the mech. "Took some shock rounds to the disruptor, managed to fry the cycler and most of the cables are shot through. I almost totally destroyed that guy's mech over there when i attempted to run a diagnostic on it." Holly grinned, gesturing over her shoulder at Strakhov. "How likely is it that someone in the city has the same model of the disruptor. It'll be a massive pain to remake. And it most likely blow itself apart sooner than fire."

"Aww... you sure I don't get to remake it?" she asked while smiling. It was difficult to not laugh about Strakhov's mechanized unit almost being destroyed. "Well, did the shock rounds get any direct hits in, or did they just jostle the unit?" she asked, beginning to figure out a solution already. Another 'favorite wench' had appeared on her tool belt, which didn't have enough weight to pull downward. Lillian walked past Holly, towards the mech. She made a point to not look at Strakhov, and assumed Holly was following her. "I think I'll try running a diagnostic test on it."

Strakhov began the arduous climb down the metal behemoths arm, a dozen or so coils firmly gripped in one muscled arm. He let himself fall the rest of the way down, and landed with a thud! and a grunt. He set the coils on a rubber mat, and wiped his oily gloves on a rag he had handy.
Looking around, He caught sight of Randall, seemingly lost with out orders from Saire. Like a puppy dog..., he thought derisively. Out loud, "Randall!" he barked. The man jumped and headed sheepishly over to the occupied hangar. "Y-yes, Captain Strakhov?" he quavered. "Quite yer yammerin. Man up a little!" he said firmly. A bit softer, he said to the little man, "Hows about you go get me a ladder, so I patch some of the holes in things shoddy armor." He nodded and scampered of to wherever it is mechanics keep their toys. The captain merely shook his head sadly, and set about preparing himself for welding, the face mask, and thick protective gloves. He also grabbed some spare sheets of metal, and attached them to a nearby crane, hoisting them up to where he would be working. He also grabbed a lascalpel, for cutting through difficult metal and wires, and a good old rivet gun and screw driver. He gave everything a once over, and nodded, satisfied, and leaned against the mechs leg, waiting for Randall. (( I realize I kind of gave an NPC some character and I hope you guys dont mind. It was just easier that way.))

"Well are shards of metal embedded in the armour. So i guess that it took a direct hit, or two. I'll power it up for the diag if you want. You'll need someone there to shut it down if it decides to charge up the disruptor again." Holly overtook Lilly before grabbing ahold of the underside of one of the unit's arms. She hoisted herself up with little effort at all. Holly balanced along the arm before scrambling up over the top of the mech to reach the main hatch. There was a hiss as it depressurised and the hatch swung up. "I'll boot up the preliminary systems first. I won't bring the weapons systems online unless you need them to be on." Holly held herself over the hatch before lowering herself down into the cockpit. Her unit had been built well. The cockpit was comfortable, but it still had all it needed for it's job. The hatch closed above Holly with a second hiss. The 3 screens that surrounded her flashed into life. Showing her a panoramic view of the garage, with on-screen displays. Showing information about the various parts of the mech and targeting information.

Lilly smiles and shook her head when Holly ran ahead. It appeared that the woman hadn't noticed that Lillian rather liked the idea of accedentally blowing apart the man's mech, especially now that repairs had gotten into full swing. Lillian climbed up the mech and to the broken weapon. She poked and prodded it, examining it to figure out where on the unit the damage had been taken. She expected electrical and physical damage. "Hey, Do you have a copy of the schematics of this? I want to mark the areas that look to have been hit." She called to Holly. The schematics would also give an idea of what the damage was doing or preventing.
((Should be just have a fix-it montage until a 1pm-ish lunch break?)))

A microphone on the outside relayed Lilly's speech into the cockpit of the mech. One of the orange globes that was one of the unit's many targeting modules, seemed to turn to look at Lilly. In reality it was focusing the camera on Lilly. Holly slid a pair of space-age goggles onto her head. She flicked through the database of the mech before turning on the cockpit microphone so that Lilly could hear her words. "Yeah... I have a set here on the mainframe. I'll get the holographic projecter running so i can beam them out."
Holly turned her head to look at a different screen. The mech following suite by turning it's targeting sensors to face the direction. There was a flash of light as the schematics appeared in 3D just infront of Lilly, "Point out where the damage is, i'll mark it on the plans."

"Thanks" Lillian quickly poked a few spots on the diagram, before turning back to the weapon to find more problems. Once all of the obvious problems were found, she pulled from her belt a modern gun-like tool. After tinkering with it for a minute, she proceeded to remove the casing of the damaged weapon. She added a handful of more points, circled a section of wires and then found a couple of things by the difference in the hologram and the material version that she marked with triangle motions. "Okay, I think I found enough to get started. I'll get a copy of the hologram file before heading down. I think you're right about just getting a new one though, and the connections to the mechanized unit seem undamaged. I'll see if I can't find something that will do before deciding to repair or rebuild." She stood up and replaced the tool into her belt. Carefully, she made her way to the cockpit, and pulled out a handheld device that could create small projections but was best for transferring them.

Holly nodded and marked down the positions that Lilly indicated. Seeing her move towards the cockpit, she flicked a switch before removing a small disk from a slot on the control panel. She motioned with her eyes, a loud hissing filled the air as the hatch slowly opened. The seat Holly was sat on moved upwards via means of a hydraullic ram. The seat stopped when Holly's head came clear of the hatch. She waved the disk at Lilly before saying, "If you want, just disconnect the disruptor and put on the old particle seperator i left around here the last time i came in for a service. I'm not likely to see active combat for a while. The brigands that we've been skirmishing with are starting to loose their nerve."

She put the disk in her handheld to download in information. Lillian chuckled, "What? A downgrade?" It was difficult for her to grasp the concept of someone seriously asking her to do so. "Haven't you known me for long enough to know that isn't possible?" she asked, suppressing more laughter. Well, a downgrade is probably safer than a rebuild from Saire, but she liked rebuilding things better, or adding improvements with a repair. The device in her hand beeped, and ejected the disk. Lillian offered it back to Holly, and pushed a button on the handheld.

Holly laughed, "Just untill you managed to sort the disruptor out. I wouldn't get rid of it, it's too useful. The damage it can do to other mechs..." Holly took the disk from her, slotting it back into the control panel. "Though i'm likely to get it back with a load of other useful upgrades i won't know about."

Lillian grinned at the last comment. "Well . . . in that case it might not be too bad, since it will just be temporary and will get you back out sooner. But" she paused, and attempted a serious look with her wrench twirling in her hand, "no combat, right?" As if given permission, her thoughts spun into what could be altered with the disruptor. How to maximize power efficiency, and adjustable outputs and ranges . . . "I'll get Jackson and Harvey to find and pull out the particle separator; if Randall is done with, " she paused just long enough for a name to be said, because she didn't want to bother to recall it, " then he can start on removing the disruptor." She switch heldheld devices to send out those orders to the three men once Holly had responded.

Strakhov looked down at the man, who was preoccupied with his beeping handheld. He sighed, and said, "Just attach the balance braces at the bottom of the ladder, and go see what your irritable boss wants, eh?" Randall looked up and nodded his head gratefully, an scampered away to the opposite mech bay, where Saire was working. Strakhov sadly shook his head, feeling bad for Randall, but mentally slapped himself to focus. He lowered the blast shield on his welding gear, and turned the high powered focus beam on, beginning to cut away the ruined metal. It fell to the ground haphazardly, with loud noises, but Strakhov continued cutting away, oblivious. Every once in a while he cut and seal some of the ever present wires, and sometimes he replace on of the previously-removed coils into it's socket and attatched. He then shocked it with a probe until it hummed to life with electrical energy.
He grinned happily as he finished the reconstruction of the main arm. He looked over and grimaced at the other, but decided to leave it for now. He went behind the metal behemoth, and attached a large, thick power cord to it's outlet, and back coils also hummed to life. It "eyes" lit up, but their was o sign of power flow to the right arm, or the legs. He sighed wearily, and gathered his gear. Wish I wasn't such an a**, he thought to himself, then Saire would be helping me, and I wouldn't have burns on my burns and calluses on my calluses. There's even some callused burns! He sighed again and began working.
