She frowned, obviously displeased by this exposition. He didn’t have a phone? That wasn’t cool.
“How am I supposed to contact you, then?”
If she couldn’t contact him, then she couldn’t play with him again. And that meant that she couldn’t protect him! He might go wimpy when she wasn’t looking.
“I guess we could just meet up on certain days, or something.”

Holding his breath he shrugged slightly, looking down again. If he ever made enough money he should look into a phone! Her suggestion, though, made him let the breath out in a sigh of relief. Nodding he quickly went through the schedule he had in his head.
"Th-that sounds g-good. I c-can be here Mon-Monday t-to Thursday, then Satur-Saturdays after four. N-not Friday's or S-Sundays." Those days were reserved for his own experiments with plants.

School? School? Did this boy not go to school either? Yay! She had a partner in crime! He was smart enough, anyway, if he was able to guess what kind of plants were in creams just because of how it smelt!
“Hmmm. Well. I’m always free! So Monday? I can show up whenever.”
Tepin couldn’t help the grin that was spreading on her face. A friend! And a male one! He didn’t make fun of her once, even despite all the teasing she had done! It was great! Maybe she could invite him over and play, sometime, even.
She was too happy! This was great! She had a friend other than Valeriu now!

He smiled widely, and stood. "M-Monday!" He said, offering a hand.
Izzy had made a friend. A real friend. That must be what the feeling he got was when he held her hand, and why he had been so worried about her. This was what it was like to have someone you could care about!
The storm cloud in the back of his mind sparked a bit, reminding him that his mother had cared for him. But he pushed it back. There would be time to mope later.
Right now, he was happy.
"Tepin." He said, firmly, the smile still on his face. "Thank you."

“Heheee” She giggled, hands draping behind her head as she pulled herself up, “Don’t mention it! Just doin’ my job!”
She was excited. Really excited. She’d get to have something to do, other than attempting to read Valeriu’s parent’s books or try to make Mr. Slinky dance. Something normal, something fun!
It was going to be great! Nothing would stop her from showing up.
Nothing.
