Nexus came walking through the massive oaken doors of the chapel, eager to live the bitter cold of the night behind him. As he walked down the center of the basilica and up to the nave near the altar, stripping his Vanguards and chain sickles and removing his heavy belt and silver chain armor. He ignored everything going on around him, for he was at the church for one reason. To pray. Setting his belongings under the front pew, he walked to the corner of the altar and stared deeply into the hanging crucifix. He knelt and bowed his head in prayer, on this night of the anniversary of his family's murder.

Father Michaels sighed as he passed his hand over the fifty caliber machine gun round. At Will's insistance, he'd agreed to devote at least twenty hours a week to working with Marcus and Ricardo, the Hunter's armorers, adding spiritual powers and protections to the weapons and equipment they created. Right now, he'd just finished blessing three crates of varying ammunition, bestowing holy power upon them bullet by bullet. It was exhausting and tedious work. Certainly not what he'd seen himself doing back when he first entered the priesthood, not even when he'd learned the truth of the supernatural during his work as an exorcist. But the blessed bullets often gave the extra edge needed to bring more Hunters back home alive night after night, and so he continued.
Rising from his kneeling position, the middle-aged priest groaned as he stretched the kinks out of his spine. Leaving the chambers, he was surprised to see a Hunter kneeling in deep prayer before the altar. Besides William himself, few of the Hunters came here often or stayed here long. They had all stared into the Abyss too long to feel entirely comfortable with Christianity after all. Even Will just came mainly for confessions, and some of the things the man had confessed to had made Father Michaels' blood freeze.
So it was a pleasant surprise to see someone in here. Smiling the priest made his way over to the new face. "Peace be with you, my son. What has brought you to this humble house of the Lord this night?"

The priest just smiled. "The clothes are in my office, William. The arrangements are made. Now we just have to get her and a few others here."
Will nodded in response, making his way into the back rooms. Father Michaels couldn't help a sad yet somehow cheerful grin. It would be a nice change, performing a wedding here in Haven instead of a funeral.

After some searching around Haven, Lydia had finally come to the Chapel. She had never come here before, not having any need for God or for organized religion. It made little sense to her, and if this God of theirs was so forgiving, surely he could and would forgive her for not taking up something that she did not need.

As they neared the Chapel, Tokeru pulled Edith aside just outside the doors. "Are you sure you want to talk to him? I mean we could come back later, he seems to be talking to lydia and a priest, and I don't think i'll be allowed inside the Chapel. Besides, there are other things we can do in our spare time."
Tokeru pulled her up to him and grinned, then kissed her passionatly on the lips.

"Errrr," was the one word that escaped through Edith's pursed lips. She was frustrated, but glad that nothing had seemed to have been going on in her absence. The fact that she had been banned from using the HIN left her in the dark about the hunters since it was near impossible to communicate with them. "Fine, but Imma gonna go interrupt them for a sec just to let them know I'm here. And you are allowed in the damned Chapel, says me." She quickly offered him a mischevious wink, a quick peck on the cheek then walked reverently into the Chapel.
Edith believed in God, no doubt about that. But lately it seemed as though she had not been able to find the time to pray, to confess, to attend any sorts of masses. And now that she was a vampire she felt like she should not be anywhere in a Chapel since their religion would not likley support the existence of her kind. "Will, Lyds, I'm kinda here to talk but I see you're busy. I'll come check up on you later. I'll be around haven so see you sometime. Congratz on getting married again and sorry for not coming back to the party!" With that she smiled, waved to them then returned to Tokeru.

After Edith has gone into the chapel, Tokeru mumbled. "They wouldn't let me in because i look like a bloody fallen angel, and I actually act like it too. I mean i was part of the Hunters, then I left and brought the Shadow Stalkers here. If that aint a fallen angel, then what is?"
He strained to hear what was occuring inside the chapel, but gave up after a few seconds. he figured if he was supposed to hear, the he would have.
As his little temptress came back out he smiled, then kissed her deeply to cheer her up.

As Edith made her way out of the temple she was taken aback by Tokeru being right there and taking her into a deep kiss. She smiled mentally to herself and kissed him back though they were kind of in public now so she did not want this to turn too much more serious. Gently, she pulled away to look up at him, now cradling her arms around his neck. "Hey Angel," she said with a soft chortle, "I think we should maybe refrain from doing that. I mean, we are right outside of a Chapel. So... whatcha wanna do while we wait?"

Tokeru smiled. "Your point being? It's just a chapel, it's not like the pope is inside. And if he was, i'm sure he'd be more horrified by the sight of me than the sight of mere kissing. I mean even the pope musta kissed a few girls before he became a priest, and i'm sure that priest did too."
He placed his hands on her waist, and pulled her in for another kiss.

Before they went inside, Kerri and Krii rounded the corner to see...Edith and Tokeru kissing? Pulling her hand away from Krii, she stood, kind of stunned for a moment before clearing her throat and walking over to them. Until this whole thing was over, she really didn't want to be associated with the Shadow Stalkers, but Edith was an old friend. Because of this, she completely ignored Tokeru, smiling at Edith, "Well, look who decided to come back to Haven afer all. How ya been Eedie?" Her eyes glanced over to Tokeru, but turned back once more. Even if it was not his fault, she was realy resisting the urge to just wail a few punches on him right now. Thinking better of it, she continued smiling at Edith, smoothing her dress a little bit.

"It ain't just a chapel you dipstick," she chided somewhat crudely with her little added on name, "it's a holy place where people are supposed to behave, give thanks, and pray. And if anyone here would be horrifying the Pope right now I'd take the entire cake because I am a vampire, my entire being is against their beliefs even if I still believe in the bible." She smiled, gently tisk tisking him by clicking her tongue at him, whether he took it that way or not was yet to be determined but the longing look in her eyes may have betrayed her.
As for the part about the Pope having kissed a girl before, she was definately gonna add her own crap on top of Tokeru's. "Heh," Edith said with a curt smile before making her way to continue on, "considering the most recently deceased Pope liked to ski and was a major sports jock he probably managed to pick up a chick or two. Not to mention he was not always the Pope and did live a normal life before he became the Pope."
She found herself being taken aback yet again when Tokeru pulled her toward him for another taste of her lips. Even though she was prepared for it and making her swift plan to get him to stop, she found herself unable to utter anything, instead, she found herself wanting him to kiss her again. She was addicted to him, and she had definitely fallen for this man, this killer, this psucho, her Angel, her Guardian.
The vampiress was not sure if she could stand to live on without knowing that she would be able to come back to his warm voice and comforting embrace. Would she fall apart or would she forget him? So many would I's or what if's...
Edith turned to see Kerri, Tokeru still making his way to kiss her, hands around her waist. "Hey Kerri," Edith said uncomfortably as she had not exactly planned on how she was going to explain her relationship with Tokeru or how she was going to explain this right now, "I've been... good. I need to pull you aside for a question for a secdi, ya mind?" The term 'girl talk' could have been inserted into her request for this particular thing but she was not exactly the kind to think of the term.
