"Nice place," Fao said, following the man in, ducking slightly to keep Sera from hitting the door frame. He trailed after Elst, looking about at the shop. "I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly. What do you suggest, Sera?"

Willis nodded, walking towards the proper isle that had been indicated and proceeded to poke around the daylilies. Many of them were quite lovely.
"I like dandilions! And daisies. And uhm... clovers! Can you grow four leaf clovers? You'd have a lucky garden, then!" She gave a wriggle of happiness on Fao's shoulders. He'd asked her opinion on such an important matter.
With a small sigh she rested her chin on Fao's head, looking around at the lush and growing greenery around them. Vines, flowers, and shrubs. It was like an enchanted garden. "You live here?" The question was directed towards Elst.

The lobby was simple, with a single large counter carrying all the tools needed for receptionist purposes, though the entire room was overgrown with a variety of sweet-smelling plants. On a large windowsill sat a single, rather small clay pot, bearing a single-stalked, royal purple orchid, currently bearing two blooms.
"Well, I have all of those types of flowers, and, don't tell anyone though, if I merge with a clover patch I can persuade them to grow four leaves with a bit of work... And yes, I do live here, Sera, but in a different building."
Elst ducked behind the front counter for a moment, taking a moment to switch a certain something from his basket to his pocket in the meantime. He emerged holding a few glass jars with different pastel-colored candies inside them. Each bore a label stating the flavor. He took a Black Liquorice one himself. He placed them on the counter, saying,
"Both of you, please help yourself. They're actually quite good, if I do say so myself. I'll meet you outside with Willis, if you do not mind."
He passed them as he exited the lobby, a freshly-grown four-leaf clover now sitting in Sera's hair.

Fao took some of the candy, then held one of the jars up for the girl to help herself, but making sure she didn't take too many. "Daisies sound nice. I'll ask him if he has any. Ready to go out and see the plants out there with your daddy?"

Sera daintily accepted four pieces of candy, counting out loud as she took them. "One for me now, one for daddy, one for me later, and... one more for me later." Satisfied how she hadn't been greedy AND that she'd thought of sharing she popped the candy into her mouth, dropping the others into her front pocket. With a giggle she gently hugged her arms around Fao's head. They tasted good!
"Yeah, let's go!" She pointed ahead of them, in the direction Elst had left to go talk with her father. As Fao began to move Sera idly rested her cheek on the top of his head, sighing contently. "I think I have to marry you, Faolan. Your very handsome. And you can do tricks." Yes, those were CERTAINLY good reasons for a girl to marry someone.
Outside the room Willis looked up as he saw Elst approaching, waving to the man. He had stopped before a rather tall, elegant flower of a beautiful rose lavender. He motioned down at the plant, a look of clear appreciation on his face. "It's beautiful. Elst, everything in here is wonderful. I have yet to see a wilted leaf or fading color... it must be so much work."

Elst strolled over to the row of flowers Willis stood in, noticing his interest in the nearby flower.
"Oh, thank you! Yes, I suppose it is a rather huge task, but hopefully I will have an... assistant sooner or later. Plus, it's like they say, when you love what you do you never work a day in your life..."
Elst meant what he said. He loved his nursery more than life itself, and every moment he spent with his gardens were moments treasured.
"Oh, do you find this particular flower appealing? Please do not feel restricted to choosing just one plant; the more the merrier, after all."
He nodded, a cheerful gleam in his eye. As this happened, however, he could not help but notice some sort of pulse issue from one of his pockets, echoing only through himself.
Eh, I'm probably just imagining things...
He shook away the feeling of familiarity, and signaled over to Fao and Sera as he saw them exit the lobby.
"You guys said you wanted daisies, right? There in the row right next to this one, in all sorts of colors."

Fao gave a low whistle, looking around. "You have talent, Elst. It's like a jungle." He looked over where Elst was pointing out the daisies and looked up at Sera. "So, want to help me pick out the color of daisies for my tent at the carnival?"
For now he'd shrug off the ad hoc marriage proposal he'd gotten from the little girl, figuring she was just having him on with some sort of game. Plus, he didn't want her father to freak out since he was enjoying their company so much. He glanced over at Willis, almost trying to telegraph in some what Sera had decided upon.

Elst shook off the compliment from Fao, saying simply, "Nah, it's more of a passion than a talent. The plants themselves do most of the work..." He smiled regardless, however,and rummaged around in his pockets for a bit, finding his thermos of tea he liked to keep with him. He took a quick sip, savoring the bitter taste.

"Ah, I thought I'd be only wanting the one at first but after coming here I do think I'd be interested in more." Willis rubbed the back of his neck, glancing down at the thick blanket of flowers. "It might be best if I returned at a later date. when we're ready to carry a lot of them home. You wouldn't mind a second visit, would you, Elst?"
Sera but a small finger to her lips, thinking a moment before nodding and pointing towards a small cluster of dasies. The majority of them were a pure white in color while a few others were a vibrant, intense bright yellow and orange.
"Mmh.. those ones! They look pretty!"

Elst nodded, although he was a bit sad to hear that they'd be leaving.
"Oh, yes, you may stop by at any time, really. I'll be here, trust me."
He walked over to the pot of daisies Sera had pointed to, picking it up and handing it to Fao.
"And what say we just have these be on the house, eh?"

"I'm a carnie, I'm not poor," Fao chuckled, taking the daisies. "Thank you, though. I'm sure these will brighten up the tent a bit back at Farstep." He showed them to the little girl for approval.
