"Yes, fly." Mauja leaned in, nuzzling the small pup. He rose to his paws, grasping the small pup once again in his jaws.
He was nimble, even for a cat, and delicately trotted inwards towards the base of the tree. Climbing up a few more branches, he turned on his paw quickly, bouncing slightly as he built momentum. With two slower steps, he built up to a few fast steps, hurling himself, along with the small pup in his jaws, off of the tree branch.
The feeling of being almost suspended in mid-air, as his light frame didn't allow for too much falling, was amazing. Mauja quickly grasped onto another branch, running off of it as if it were a runway once again. He repeatedly did this, circling around the area where the hyena stood below.
His control over the situation was greater than most would think, after watching his antics at the cliff earlier in the day. He had a knack for grasping on to trees and branches while falling, and used that skill overly so in his strange lifestyle.
He came to a slow, and wrapped himself in a ball on a large branch, covered in leaves that created a 'floor' type surface underneath them. His breathing was heavy, but he kept a constnt smile. "See? Fun." he glanced down at the hyena; they had only gone around him a bit. "You should try to come up here with us!" he knew how poorly dogs could climb, but it never hurt to try.
