Riome didn't need to think about it twice. He grinned, and nodded, "You're on, little lady. And one more thing, if I win," he said, getting an almost sneaky look on his face, "You'll have dinner with me sometime."
Liluye was quiet for a little bit, then she turned to look at Riina as they walked, "Do you live in your tribe's town?"

"Isn't this dinner?" Palladia looked at him slyly, "Not that I would be complaining..." what was with this sudden change of heart? This was not the time to be worrying about that. What mattered was that she was going to win the race to the tavern. Where ever it was.
"I live in a small town a little ways from the main town. My parents like the quiet and calmness." she looked at Liluye, "Do all harpies live together in one big bunch?"

"This is a snack," he said, laughing, and speeding up, "I mean a proper dinner," he smirked, "You know, candles, music, stuff like that," he had a slight teasing tone to his voice.
"Hm...for the most part, yes. We like to be in groups, its safer." He smiled, "And we're all like one big family," she nodded, "I'd always get caught and scolded when I tried to leave the mountain as a child, usually by people I'm not related to," she laughed lightly.

"We'll see." she said, "Don't we have a race to finish now?" Palladia winked at him, "See you at the tavern!" she galloped as fast as she could enjoying the cool wind on her face, the green centauress suddenly felt carefree and reckless.
"That's sweet." Riina smiled, imagining Liluye as a child, getting scolded by elders. "Are there plants on the mountain?"

Riome kicked it into high gear. He'd usually let her win, but he wanted that dinner date, so he was going to beat her, even if he felt bad afterwards. He was having a lot of fun, either way. He loved to run, obviously, and racing...well, he was very competitive, so even better.
"Hm...mostly, yea, but up at the top, not really. Mostly just those ugly, bristly, thorny kinds. Thats why I like it down here," she gestured with one wing, "Its so lovely!"

Palladia saw Riome rush ahead of her, laughing carelessly, she ran after him, urging her legs to pump faster. She knew she wouldn't win anyways, racing against a fit male, but why not try?
"It must hurt if you fall onto those plants..." Riina said, shuddering. "I'm afraid of things poking into my skin." she rubbed at her arms as if it suddenly got colder.

He glanced back, seeing her start to catch up. He grinned, tail flicking, and he looked forward again, seeing building start to come into view. He mentally cheered. That date was as good as his. She was pretty fast, though, so he had to keep up the pace.
"Yeah, it really sucks..it used to happen to me a lot, when I was just learning to fly," she said, shivering a little, "I got a lot of scratches, but other than that, it wasn't so bad."

Palladia sighed, knowing that he had probably won. She didn't have any last minute tricks up her sleeve either. She continued to run as fast as she could, admitting defeat. At least she could eat now.
Riina frowned, putting her arm around the harpy. "That must've hurt a lot." she didn't mention she had never gotten hurt due to her luck. The foxtaur sniffed the air, noticing the scent of salt water had gotten stronger. Wishing to change the subject she said, "The beach! We're almost there!"

As they reached the tavern, he slowed, then stopped, and turned to wait for her, grinning happily. Yesss. He was going to pay for the tab either way, even though he won, but he got to take her out for dinner. "You're pretty fast!"
Liluye made a happy noise at the contact, smiling widely. Then she made an excited chirp when she too caught wind of the sea, "Yay! Oooh, I hope there's fish, I can practice my fishing!"

Palladia had a smile plastered on her face, even though she was slightly disappointed that she had lost. Her face was all smiles and rainbows as she slowed down to a walk, "Wow. I'm thirsty! Let's get in." she looked over her shoulder, a seductive smile on her face, "I guess I owe you that dinner then." she giggled as she opened the door. She would get back at him. Somehow.
"Fishing?" she blinked, "You mean like...you dive into the water and catch a fish?"

He blushed lightly at that, then followed her in, grinning in a slightly dorky way, "Don't worry 'bout the tab. I'll pay for it. Dinners good enough for me." He was surprised that she had no objections to the date thing.
"Yep! I...haven't actually tried before. But it looks like it could be useful to know."

"Oh! That's good. 'Cause I didn't even bring money with me anyways." she tucked her hair behind her ear, looking around the tavern, noting the darkness. It looked somewhat shabby...but it'll do. "Where shall we sit?" she continued in her demure-tone.
"No fishing rod needed!" she laughed. "I wonder if I can catch a fish with my bare hands..." Riina looked at them, thinking to herself.

Riome looked around as well, then pointed to an empty table, "How 'bout over there?" he was pretty far from the rest of the rowdy customers, "As quiet as we'll be able to get."
She laughed and nodded, "Well, while we're there, you can try," she said, smiling. "You never know, right?"

"Alright then." Palladia wrinkled her nose at the rowdy taurs. This is why she didn't go to taverns in the first place. It smelled of alcohol and sweat, and to top it off it was loud and crowded at times.
"What do they have here?" she asked as she seated herself. "Any cool and refreshing drinks?" she twirled her hair absentmindedly, the perfect picture of an innocent girl.
"That's true." Riina giggled uncontrollably, "Maybe. Maybe I'll be the strongest warrior in town if I manage to do so!" she pretended to flex and grunted loudly.

"They have water, and they have ale," Riome said, "I think I'll get water, after that run," he chuckled, then looked at her, and blinked, eyebrows raising. She was such an pretty and innocent looking thing. If he didn't know better...He smiled, shaking his head slightly. "Their food has more variety, if you're hungry. I'm not sure if they actually sell cake here or not." Didn't seem much like a cake place.
Liluye giggled and clapped lightly, "Very impressive!" She really liked this one, she could kid around. Most of the people she knew were very serious.
