You see Ilusen had been painstakingly painting her old bedroom for the arrival of her new son. He was only a leaf at the minute, but hey he'll be able to appreciate it eventually. Sure she did find this whole child from a leaf concept a bit strange, who wouldnt? but something inside her made her believe; and that feeling was what had prompted her to pack up her stuff, and paint over the bright yellow walls of her old bedroom. Because she wanted her son to be as comfortable as possible.
She laughed to herself and placed the leaf onto the little table where a colouring book and crayons lay ready, he wouldnt be able to colour now but she thought she let him soak in the atmosphere of his new room. "So what d'ya think dee?" funny.. she had a pet name for him already. The leaf responded in the only way it new how to, by moving around energetically, it seemed to have these short bursts of activity then it would be still. Ilusen took this sudden movement as positive and sat down on one of the blue stools beside the table. "Im glad your excited dylan, but remember your not to go flying over by the balcony, i dont want you being swept away with the wind!" and the leaf gave a slight shake as if to say "I know" Ilusen smiled and made her way back towards her new bedroom to start unpacking.
Several hours later she hadnt got much further, as with every item she took out of the cardboard boxes she insisted on looking over it for a few minutes and remembering the story behind each useless artifact she had collected. About half way through the last box she came across her old diary and thought she might aswell start writing in it again, after all shes finally got something worthwhile to write about. She has a son!Quote: Dear diary, sorry i havent written in a while, in fact i havent written in about 5 years. I was out taking my daily walk round the block today (one of my new keep fit regimes which is bound to go out the window) when i came across a strange looking leaf, for a start it was bright green when all the tree's in my neighbourhood have lost thier leaves. And secondly it was joined to another leaf, i thought it looked really neat and i was gonna take it home to press and preserve, but i received a letter from some strange organisation that says from these leaves two children will grow eek I mean how silly does that sound? im gonna have to take a trip down this place and find out for myself. Although i have grown rather attached to my little leaf, ive even give it a name, Dylan, coz i always said if i were to have a little boy id call him that (: And the other leaf thats attached to it has been given into the care of my friend Chalda, i couldnt think of anyone more perfect to enter into this adventure with! and i cant wait!
But anyway im getting away from the point, ive been painting my old bedroom (the really big one) in preperation for the supposed arrival of my little boy. Its really pretty, but it cost me a heck of alot of gold o___o Ill have to start saving again if i ever want to have gold to spend on myself...

 Heaving the last box up the stairs and into her room, Chalda collapsed onto her undressed mattress. Moving had certainly been an ordeal but both she and Ilusen agreed that it was for the best. After all the special bond between twins was not something that should be disturbed. Seleece and Dylan would be bonded forever so they deserved to grow up together and make the most of it in their young years.
Looking over at her vanity Chalda smiled as she watched the leaf shuffle across the surface. She had stacked books around the perimeter just to keep the little one safe while she was busy but now, as the little leaf bounced around between them, she thought it might need a little more room. Chalda noticed the edges of the leaf turning red in frustration as it was scooped up but once it was deposited on the floor it started happily exploring.
With one eye on the leaf Chalda pawed through boxes until she found her journal. Flopping back on the bed she wrote her entry.
Quote: Well it's official! I have finally moved in. Of course the work isn't actually finished. I still need to unpack and decorate all before Seleece grows up but I'm glad the actual moving part is over. The past few days have been such a blur. It all started when Ilusen invited me over to see something she had found. Now I'm living with her and we are both about to be mothers! I can't believe she almost pressed our babies to put in our memory book! But who would have guessed that our little leaves are going to grow up into little children. Granted I don't really understand that part yet but the letter we receive from the 'Eden Project' told us to trust and love so that's what we are doing. Just now Seleece is folding herself in half to fit between a couple of boxes. I would imagine it would be easier to just turn on her side but I guess that didn't occur to her whee Now there is a lot of unpacking to be done just so I can sleep in my own bed tonight so I will finish here. So starts the interesting ride!

Chalda wandered out into the hallway. "Ilusen! All this moving has made me hungry. Want to take our leaves out to eat?"

Ilusen had been working in her new room most of the day, so welcomed the interuption by her friend chalda, as much as she liked unpacking stuff she had tried to avoid helping her by busying herself with her own room so silently wished she didnt need any help this time.
Thankfully she didnt, in fact she provided a reason to get out of the house "Of course! hold on lemme pick up dylan and we can go down to the cute little coffee house in Durem" Ilusen rushed back into her room flung on a jacket from her bed and picked up the leaf, who wiggled in her hand, a sign he was quite shocked by this sudden movement.

Chalda smiled. She had known that Ilusen had been avoiding her just a little bit with all the work she had to do but she really didn't mind doing it herself. That way she actually would know where everything was after she put it away. Or that was the hope anyway.
"Alright," she called grabbing her own jacket, Seleece already in her hand. "It sounds nice. You are going to have to show me around since I don't know Durem very well."
She wandered downstairs to find her shoes which had been lost in all the other mess.

"I really do appologize for the mess..." Ilusen said looking around at the devastation that was her house "I got used to it living on my own and stuff..." she bit her lip as she realised for the first time just how messy it was.
"Anyway, its really cute i only discovered it a couple of days ago myself. And they do great cappuchinos" She grabbed her keys and held the door open for chalda "Driving, or walking? personally i think we should walk... it isnt that far and i havent had much exercise in the past couple of days.." she said feeling guilty because of the promise she made to herself to walk everyday, which had since been broken.

Chalda laughed "I think I've contributed to the mess to there hun. Don't go blaming yourself just because I've filled your house with so much of my stuff. And besides, it's not really that bad..." Her voice petered out as she watched a stack of papers avalanche all over the floor.
Then she made an internal groan. Ilusen might not have been getting her exercise but Chalda sure had. She had gone up and down those stairs at least 50 times today and frankly her legs were feeling a bit like Jell-O, but being the gracious guest she smiled and nodded. "Sure walking sounds great. It will be nice to get some fresh air."

As if reading her mind Ilusen laughed "Its only 5 minutes" she said as she locked the door behind her and led the way down the street. She placed dylan inside her coat pocket in case of an unfortunate accident, like him blowing away or something.
"Isnt all of this exciting? just think in a couple of weeks we could have two children running round the house.." this thought made ilusen feel slightly excited, but extremely worried. She'd never looked after a child in her life, she was still a child herself! well mentally... and she didnt know what the hell to expect.
She crossed the road over into the centre of durem and smiled, she'd only been living here a couple of months but this strange old-fashioned little city still made her smile, and she couldnt wait to show chalda around all her favourite places "Just this way! nearly there!" she called back over her shoulder

"I know" Chalda added as she followed. "But can you imagine? The two of us are going to be mothers! What the heck business do we have being mothers? These poor little kids are going to be so corrupt!"
Chalda watched carefully as they walked to be sure she could recreate the movements. She had always been the nervous type who had to plan everything down to the last detail. Taking on this child was probably the most risky thing she had ever done and she was scared silly because of it. She hadn't even found a job here yet! How was she going to afford food and rent and diapers? The society hadn't exactly said just how old these little kids were going to be.
Chalda followed, observed and worried in silence.

"But still, it might be fun..." she replied a little less enthusiastically than she would of liked. Ilusen turned one more corner, glancing behind her to make sure chalda hadn't got lost in the lunch time hustle and bustle of durem. "Here we are" she pointed to the small building opposite, where a few tables were laid outside and through the stained glass windows you could see more tables and a few customers.
"Its probably a bit too cold to sit outside today, we'll get a table inside. Dont want Dylan or Seleece catching a cold!" she giggled slightly and led the way inside. "What would you like chalda? my treat"

"Aww that's sweet of you" Chalda gushed. "And I'm sure it's going to be fun and amazing and stressful and all those other things we have heard about parenting. And there is no one I would rather share this with then you." Then she giggled a little. "That wasn't supposed to sound quiet as gay as it did. Umm..." She examined the menu. "I know I shouldn't be their coffee cake looks so good. How about a slice of that and a hot apple cider?"

Ilusen laughed and shook her head "Oh dont mind.. i get passes made at me all the time" she winked and collapsed into a fit of giggles. A few moments later she conmposed herself and ordered two coffee cakes a hot apple cider for chalda and a cappuchino for herself.
Picking up the tray she weaved her way in and out of the tables and sat down at the windowsill ushering chalda to sit opposite. "And yes, its such a daunting topic but i honestly cannot wait! ive always wondered what it would be like to hear the pitter patter of little feet, but the thought of the ... process makes me feel queasy."
Ilusen took a bit of her coffee cake and smiled "Mmm.. your right it does look as nice as it tastes."

Chalda giggled. "Well I personally don't have anything against the process." She winked. "But I haven't been able to find anyone willing to share the process with me until this point. But there is plenty of time for that later too. You never know how the future will evolve. And at this point I am just incredibly excited, and a little nervous, to be a mother to what ever little creature Seleece will become as she grows. Have you heard anything more specific from the Eden Project people? This still confuses me a little."
She was about to start on her cake when the wiggling in her pocket started to tickle her. Laughing she pulled a red tinted leaf out of her pocket who squirmed vigorously in her hand. Placing Seleece down on the table she used her hands to contain the leaf who zoomed around the surface threatening to fall onto the floor if given the chance. Anyone watching would have equated it to a game of pinball. The leaf bouncing off of Chalda's hands and the glasses and plates on the table was a comical site to behold.

Ilusen took another mouthfull of her cake and laughed trying hard to not spray crumbs all over her friend, now that wouldnt be proper at all, but she had no table manners so knew no different. She finished chewing and replied "No, i havent hear much actually.. maybe we should go down to the HQ and see for ourselves? im sure the owner will be more than welcome to help up.. after all we are part of this "community" now arent we?"
She scrabbled round in her pocket for the scrap of paper she had wrote the address on and realised that Dylan was still inside there, she picked the leaf out carefully, unfortunately an old skittle that must have melted inside her pocket had moulded itself to the poor leaf "Oh dear.." Ilusen exclaimed as she examined the damage and wondered if it would rip the leaf if she tried to pick off the skittle "What d'ya think i should do Chalda? trust me to get my poor Dylan into this predicament allready.." she laughed slightly and put the leaf on the table "Some mother im going to be!"
