Now, the people with flying pokemon arrive on the top of the volcano, the Salamence, Wailord, and Staraptor that is. Arthur is just waiting for something, and Erik is having his Golem throw rocks at the Moltres. Now the teams are all attacking the enraged Moltres, all of the attacks missing because of excellent timing and great countering by the fire bird.

Eddie, meanwhile, is up again, holding his hand over the hole in his stomach. "Agh." he mutters, then looks as the Moltres takes down the Staravia with a Fire Blast, but is hit with a Dragonbreath from Salamence. He looks over at Arthur, who is doing nothing; probably gonna wait til this is all over and take the Ruby for himself. "Hey Arthur, why don't you help out?!" he yells to the man.

Arthur looks at the impaled Eddie and smiles. "Why should I bloody my hands when it's unnecessary to?" he asks.

Eddie gets a grin on his face because of this. "Well, I'll just kill you right now then." he says.

"Hah, you seem in hardly a condition to do that." Arthur says with a laugh. With that split second of distraction, though, Eddie has already put his fist into Arthur's stomach and punches him into the wall.

This means war.

During this battle between Arthur and Eddie, their pokemon are at it as well. Alakazam being occasionally hit by a blade from Sceptile, and Sceptile being hit by a psychic attack or beam of some sort. A very great battle started by Sceptile in order to prevent interference from Alakazam.

Meanwhile, Erik's Golem has been knocked out, leaving him to fight the Moltres hand to hand. Dolza's Salamence is still flying around, throwing beams and blasts at the fire bird in order to down it, but the attacks missing. The Wailord is badly hurt from horrible pecks and drill pecks, to the point where it has to be returned by Amanda. She also has to fight with her sword alone. Nicole is watching the battle with Eddie and Arthur, hoping that either Eddie wins, or Arthur loses.

Arthur jumps and propels himself off the wall at Eddie, slashing his Zhanmado at him, connecting with Eddie's Zweihander. The clang is enough to get everyone's attention, even the Moltres. The two lunge at each other again, making another loud clang.

Eddie uses his strong legs to propel himself high in the air, making his way easily over the pit in the center, landing on the other side. He watches in the air for Arthur, but doesn't see him. He finds Arthur when a blade pierces him from the side. This causes a quick movements from Eddie consisting of grabbing Arthur's left arm and slicing it clean off with his Zweihander. Arthur withdraws his blade from Eddie's side and watches his arm go sailing into the lava pit, making some black smoke come up.

This battle has cost Arthur an arm. Maybe a leg.

The Tyr's ruby still floats undisturbed above the center of the volcano, just minding its own business. Meanwhile, Eddie blazes past it in order to get to Arthur, who is having trouble getting to his feet. Eddie brings his sword into the air and brings it down on the poor boy. That was the plan until he was knocked aside by an annoying Alakazam.

Eddie doesn't let out a sound as he's shot across the ground, and into the wall. Though he saved his master, it came at a steep price. The Alakazam was hit dead on with a souped up Solarbeam, easily taking out the last of its health. He gets to his feet and sees Arthur, who is also at his feet. Eddie pushes off of the ground, soaring a few inches above the ground. Arthur does the same.

Both men meet and thrust their swords forward. The Zweihander plunges deep into Arthur's chest, while the Zhanmado slices Eddie's cheek, due to a quick head shift by him. Eddie puts his sword over the pit and kicks Arthur off of his sword, letting his body fall into the lava below. Black smoke billows up from the pit, then stops.

Erik and Amanda distract the Moltres by throwing rocks at it, trying to get it to fly lower, and allow Dolza to deliver a crippling blow. This plan is thwarted when the Moltres lets out a Heat Wave at the two trying to distract it. Erik sees Amanda cringe and, what seems to be an instinctive reaction, he jumps in front of her. He smiles at her and takes the part of the blast that would've hit her; protecting her as a human shield.

Dolza uses the attack on the two as a chance to launch his own attack. He holds his sword firmly in both hands, then throws it at Moltres, point first. This makes a good hit, the sword sinking into the body of the giant bird. Moltres relents on its attack on the two and turns to Dolza, who is left defenseless, forced to run and try to dodge fire attack from the agitated bird.

Erik's muscles relax and he falls on the ground, landing on his side. Amanda falls to her knees and looks at Erik, lifting up his head. "No..." she says, disbelief overtaking her emotions. She takes out a pokeball and releases a Xatu. "We need to get a hospital. He's more important than a stupid sword." she says. Xatu's eyes glow blue and the two disappear from the scene.

The Moltres finally stops following Dolza when it sees two other people, ready for a battle. It lets out a cry into the air and shoots a flame at the two, easily being dodged by Nicole, but a little trouble from Eddie. It seems he's still feeling the pain from that Magmortar. "Okay, how should we do this, Nicole?" he asks.

Nicole looks at Eddie and shrugs. "Right now, all we can do is try to get it close!" she calls to him. She then chucks a fairly large rock at the Moltres, bonking it on the head. "Bulls-eye!" she cheers.

Eddie looks at Dolza, who is holding a large rock over his head and waiting, then he looks at the Moltres, who is now staring at Nicole intently. "Watch out!" he yells, then runs over to her direction. She looks at Eddie inquisitively, then looks back at the Moltres, and sees a Solarbeam coming right at her. Her body completely freezes.

Adrenaline shoots through Eddie's body, causing him to sprint faster and faster. It's all in vain; Nicole is overtaken by the large beam of sunlight, disappearing from sight for a few seconds. Eddie stops, his heart races, the beam only feet away from him, he could feel the intense heat. "No..." he mutters.

The beam stops, and reveals Nicole to be standing for a second afterward, but she falls flat on her face, motionless. Eddie runs over to her and kneels at her body. He flips her over and puts his ear to her mouth, nothing comes out, her insides likely burnt to a crisp. There would be no point in trying to resuscitate her.

Eddie stands up and looks at the Moltres, a burning hatred spawns inside of him, like none he's ever felt before. Taking something away from him so precious. He grabs his Zweihander, gripping it tight with one hand. In the other hand is Nicole's. The massive amount of adrenaline and sheer will pouring into his body makes the swords seem almost weightless. He screams at the top of his lungs these words. "You, who took something precious from me, shall be stricken down by my hand, your head is my trophy!"

Eddie looks at the incoming Moltres and holds Nicole's Zweihander from his shoulder out. Moments from impact, Eddie thrusts the sword forward, right into the path of the bird, making a nice stab, but the force isn't enough to stop the Moltres. Eddie is hit by the bird and is sent speeding down a long stretch of land and stopping once he slides for a few seconds. Dolza's sword is lying on the ground, knocked out from the impact, and Nicole's sword is also on the ground beside it, not being fully inserted before the two met.

With two large wounds, and multiple bumps from rocks, the Moltres sees no one around, except for the seemingly dead body of Eddie and Nicole's body. Dolza must be hiding. Moltres flies up into the air and dives into the center of the volcano, in order to rest its wounds.

Eddie stirs for a second, getting to a comfortable sitting position and sees Dolza walking back onto the field. "You try to take that jewel, and I won't hesitate to strike you down." he says.

Dolza sees Eddie and blinks. "Oh, I thought you were dead. Why would you accuse me of taking the ruby, because it's my mission? And how would you be able to stop me, you're almost dead!" he says.

"I'm not so dead as to not be able to shove this sword through your still beating heart. If you do so much as take one more step, god help me I will destroy you." Eddie threatens. Using all that he has, and his sword, he stands up, leaning heavily on the sword. "If killing you means that I also die, well, I shouldn't have to worry about dying." he says with a chuckle after.
