For me I'd have to say between redguard and argonian. With argonian you cant get disease, poisened, and something else but with redguard you resist poisen and disease and you have good agility and blade. But thats me

I'd say argonian or nord. at first i went with nords for there tanky ability and resistance to frost. then i got shivering isles expansion and it just seemed more convinient having immunity to poison, resistance to diseases lock picking bonus (i'm a thief) there good when you work on Blade, marksman, light amour, security, sneak and those things. Argonians are awesome thiefs and assasins

Daedra! Daedra, daedra daedra!
Anything without semi divine demonic power is boring! Boring and pointless, until we set them about our games like rats in a maze! Then, their point is to find the metaphoric cheese! Which, in this case, is a metaphor for actual cheese. I will give you cheese.

For me, my favorite race is the Altimer. They may start out weak with their small starting HP, but if you level them up evenly with Endurance, Strength, Willpower, and Intelligence. (In that order I might add) You get a great character on your hands! And as an added bonus, you could also enchant your characters armor to make up for your magic weaknesses. (But the magic weaknesses never bothered me much anyway XP)
My High elf, Rosalia Dare, has about 400 HP, 300 magika, and 400 endurance. (I haven't played in a while so this is an estimation. I will update as soon as I can) And I am addicted to her XD
However, the only thing I don't like about the High elves is that when they speak to you in a conversation. They sound haughty and most of the NPC's take on these large roles, such as Mancar Kamoran. I also don't like the shape of their face and their skin color on most of them. It looks long, square shaped and that lemony hint in their skin just repulses me slightly. I just like changing the skin color of mine to be paler and change the shape of the face to look more like a Breton.
My main character was once an Orc (one of my favorite races still) but now my interests have shifted to the Altimer! biggrin
NOTE: I would have also changed the voice to give them an accent! XDD

I'm playing an altmer mage atm (so i may be a bit biased) but I'm rating altmer for anything magic-oriented. He's got The Apprentice birthsign as well, so atm he has 450 magicka (I have OOO as one of my mods) but he has 100% weakness to magic (and 125% to all elemental damage), which usually means that I just don't try to go toe-to-toe with other spellcasters (ranged attacks don't bother me much, I seem to be able to dodge them with suficient proficiency). Repeating what was said before, If you balance the weaknesses with gear or proficiency and strengthen the strengths you can create awesome characters.
Also, I'm totally rating redguards for melee warriors (I even made a hybrid stealth/warrior as a redguard and it was awesome!).
