Yawning, Endymion flopped down on his bed, not bothering to put his clothes back on. It was a reather slow night, of which he was thank full for. Looking at the clock, Endymion waited for an hour, there were no knocks at his door. At least, he thought, At least this ment that he nad no more customers to dance for. It was nearing 1:30am When Endymion dressed and then snuck back downstairs to the dance floor. The crowd hadn't changed, he was hopful that he would see him again. After a few mintues of wandering around, the young man began to doubt that that he ever thought he'd seen a God here. "Maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me." He sighed, but the meeting, it felt so real.

Apollo had stayed near the dance floor, as if trying to purge himself of these confusing thoughts. Everything just seemed to be running in circles lately and laughing at him when he couldn't catch up. He could feel the young man come back downstairs, mainly because he was focused on him. Only by focusing on one human in particular could he follow their movements. But the focusing on him left his physical state seemingly disoriented. His eyes open and he glances to the firgure standing near the dancing crowd, whose eyes were searching. He smirks a little, becoming still in the sea of movement around him as he calmly walked through the storm of bodies to the edge of the crowd. He stares at the young man for a second, still not even knowing who he was or how he knew him. He says slowly, "We need to talk..." He walks past him, making a small gesture for him to follow. He knew the youth had demands on his time, so it was imperative to get them a place where no one coud disturb this potentially odd conversation. So he leads him to his "room." It was at second floor, up some stairs that were away from the rest. This "room" was odd, looking to be more like a private trysting room. All the lights in the room were dim and the room was totally submersed in soft things, a soft bed, a couch, many large cushions on the floor and tables. Everything seemed to be made for the safety and pleasure of a young drunk couple who weren't watching where they were going. And it was all extremely embaressing. Of course, Apollo had led some of his adventures up here, taken a few men and women to bed with him. But it was never really for any purpose other than to please the fact that he WAS a rock star.... and a rockstar who wasn't busy was unheard of... He had also used these escapades the fulfill a simple lonliness of a decade on earth. He unlocks the door and leads him inside, "Sorry about the mess... I don't want your boss to find you.... Get comfortable if you like..." After he had gently said these things, as if they were formalities that had to be said, like a ceremony, and now he was getting down to business. He turns on his heel and asks, almost sharply, "How did you know me?"

He knew what went on in these rooms, the "Tempory Guests" Rooms. While he himself had never used them for the propose, Endymion could count himself forutnate that he had never been forced to come here with a patron. This man wasn't a patron, but being in there was enough to put on the defencive. The Question that the man who called himself Apollo asked him made him wince inside. "I....Have seen a statue of Apollo in the gathering place of actors and writers...in Athens years ago." Once he stated he flet compaled to talk. Sure that if the is man wasn't whom he thought he was, they simply dismiss him as crazy. "Athens at that time had worshipped the Gods fathifully. My age-mates and I were given a tour of the city." As he spoke he lapsed back into the old language. "The statue's face....it was said to have been insipired by a man claiming to have seen the God. I believed it then, for I am loyal to the Gods." He paused and continued. "My name....is Endymion, from what I could tell.....I have been asleep for a great many years."

Apollo's eyes widened, then winced slowly. Was he lying?... That was too acurate to be a lie but... it was impossible. He groans lightly, plopping down on a couch as his eyes stared at space. Now things were really getting odd. He couldn't have gotten things like that from a history book... and judging by the fact that all education after basic had been abolished, a history book may have been hard to come by. And he knew the classic languages. That was too weird to be coincidence. Could he actually have been telling the truth? Endymion was an ancient name, it all matched up, but it didn't seem possible. How could he have.... He blinked as he heard the voice of memory in his mind. It was Diana's voice that brought him to the memory again and again, but now it stuck out brightly "Apollo, don't even speak of love. Love is asleep for a thousand years and you'll never find him. You don't even know who love is... And you say you are in love? Love won't wake up until..."Apollo suddenly looked up, staring at Endymion almost as if scared. Had he known Diana? Why had Diana called him "love"? Could that be a coincidence too? He shiveres slightly and glances out the window, at the moon outside. He wouldn't ask him about it. He had convinced himself long ago that he didn't care what Diana did with her time... But he missed his sister as much as he had when he was a child. They were always close and it was like a part of him was missing. But he knew that after she had said those words, she had advised Jupiter to send Apollo bound and gagged to forever writhe in the rive styx. He shudders. No, he didn't care what his sister was up to. He asks softly, "You still believe in the gods?" His bright violet eyes turn back to the boy, the anger and confusion gone, now simply hopeful. It had been so long since... since anyone believed in the gods. he hadn't felt a prayer to him in nearly a century.

Endymion whispered "Yes." at the God's question. His heart was pounding, He believes me! Struggling to contain the joy that threatened to bubble over. The Youth sat on a cushion at Apollo's feet. "There are so many questions I want to ask you...." He paused. "Do you know why I was put an enchanted sleep?" He looked up at a Face that was part confusion, part something else... Maybe telling his story would help. "During one summer's evening, I was hunting....I was stalking a Deer that drew me to a grove of trees....."
===
The grove was enchanted, the boy could tell simply by breathing the scent of the trees. The air was sweet and cool despite the heat of the day. Weary from the day's hunt, the young man rested, sitting on a fallen log. "By Demeter's sweet grace...." he breathed. Endymion took off his sandals and let the grass relive his feet. the grass was damp from dew. Sighing in pleasure, the boy looked up at a rustling in the clearing. A shaft of moon-light shone through the branches here. The faint light glinted off something set on a tree-stump. Curious, Endymion walked closer to it . Set on the stump was a silver dish, which had caught his eye, was a fruit that gave off the sweet scent he smelled earlier. He picked up the fruit, it wasn't anything he'd seen before yet....He brought it to his mouth. Gods! it tasted so sweet! Endymion consumed the fruit Now fully bathed in the light a full moon, the youth looked up to the night sky. His long black hair gleamed in moonlight, Whisper soft and brushing lightly against skin that was as soft and pale as the moon it's self. Twilight-colored eyes looked upon the bright orb that was the moon. Feeling sleepy, he struggled to keep his eyes open.....
====
".......that was when I fell asleep." He finished. Endymion sighed. "I didn't chose to come to this time or place. I just...." He stopped, he was beginning to feel fatigued. The long night of confusion and conflicting emotions were wearing him down. "Apollo, Please...." He looked beseechingly up at the God."...I want to be free of this place."

Apollo was almost brought to soft laughter by the boy's pleas and sudden excitement. He was asking Apollo as if he knew everything... He wished he could give an omniscient title to any one being... he had once, but not now. Jupiter had been corrupted. He doesn't laugh, but smiles slightly, feeling warmly comforted by this human, but also kind of awkward. He hadn't been "pleaded before" in.... centuries. At one time he had been so full of himself to let people beg. But he wasn't now. He slides from the couch to the floor, sitting next to Endymion. "You don't have to talk to me like I'm... well.... Just don't treat me like I'm all powerful. The reason why there are so many gods is because one couldn't handle it all..." He sighs lightly, thinking for a moment, "You're asking the wrong person as to why you were asleep. The only ones who know that are you, whoever/whatever did it to you, and maybe..." He shudders, "Maybe Jupiter, but that's a stretch... I may be able to find out later... If you give me more details... I've been in touch with a few other gods lately and maybe they know something..." He glances back to the young man beside him, not knowing what to say to his plea. Of course he would help him get out of this place if he wanted it.... but he had no clue where to take him. He grins and finally says, "Yea, I'll help you leave here... You probably won't be able to come back without your former boss trying to kill you, but I'll get you out... how are you bound other than by your bodyguard...?"

"They have guards at all the doors, they are told never to let me pass. They all know my face. And all the windows from the first and second floors are barred. I've tried to escape several times but they managed to catch me before I got very far." Endymion spoke quickly, eager and excited. "I don't have every many possessions. But there is something that I need to get from my room." getting up from the floor, Endymion walked to the door. "I'll be back as soon as I can...." he unlocked the door and beamed at Apollo, he was charged with hope, and happiness. The smiled disappeared however, when he opened the door. His boss was standing right behind it. "Dymion, my boy. There you are, don't you know that you have another group of customers waiting to see you?" The youth flinched. "I..I thought I was done for the night." "Like hell you where......Did you get the money from your customer?" The fat man looked in the room."Sir, We charge by the time spent with our dancers....." "But, I wasn't doing anything for him!" Endymion flushed with anger.

Apollo rose swiftly the moment he saw the boy's boss there, but stayed still and calm. He had already hatched a plan quickly. As soon as Endymion starts getting upset, he crosses to the door, to where the dancer's boss stood. He dug to his back pocket at his wallet. He was paid well from his work as a musician and he never spent the money he earned since gods needed neither food nor drink and since the club was paying his rent. He smirks up to the burly man, beginning to finger through hundred dollar bills as simply as a child playing jacks. He says smoothly, directing the first comment to Endymion but his eyes never leaving his boss, "You shouldn't lie about your secret endeavors, Dymion." He turns his comments back to the boss, "Forgive me for noto taking up business arrangements with you, but when I saw him dancing... Well, let's say you've trained quite the business man, he already has me up to paying three times his usual fee... I suppose I should give the money to you... I do understand if he happens to have any other appointments for tonight, I can always pay more for him. I just need him for one night, all night, and I'll pay for each and every hour." He puts on his best act, his arm reaching to Endymion and pulling him near, quickly, up to Apollo's body. Facades like these were hard to keep up, sounding so greasy was not a flattering way to act. He only hoped that Endymion would realize what was going on and play along, because if he actaully thought Apollo was serious... then he doubted that Endymion would trust him much after this. However, he puts on his best lecherous smile as one hand begins to rub up and down the boy's body. He really really hoped Endymion knew what was going on.

At Apollo's first comment, Endymion was stunned into silence. wasn't he supposed to be the god of truth as well? Hearing the rest of his words, his face burned red with embarrassment. When Apollo pulled him close to his body, Endymion was beyond speaking. He blushed deeply. He hadn't expected this.....eep! He closed his eyes feeling the hand run down his body. He trembled. The boss looked at the money offered. Then at Endymion. "Boy, you'd better behave for this guy...." He took the money. " Enjoy." He left, chuckling. When the man was out of sight, Endymion pulled away from the God. His face still had that partly shocked expression.

Apollo shuts the door and steps away, letting out a long shakey sigh. Lying had bcome easier in his years on earth, but it still wasn't an easy thing to do. It wasn't totally a lie, he was paying to keep Endymion away from his boss and other customers... He glances to him, then down to the ground before turning, "Sorry about that... You'r case against him wasn't strong enough to win your freedom for the night...." He wills his hands to stop shaking, trying to get his own heartbeat to calm down. That was definitely... odd. He feels a shiver go up his spine and he sits back down on the couch. He stares at the floor, letting out a short sigh. "I don't think you physically going back to your room is goingto be as easy as you think it is... Some one is bound to spot you and be suspicious of you packing up... I can buy you new clothes and things until you get grounded in a paying job if you need it. What exactly do you really need from your room that couldn't be replaced?" he turns his eyes back up to Endymion, which proved to be a harder task than he thought after the contact that had been between them only moments before

Endymion listened with his eyes to the floor. His face was still red. His body had been brought before but everytime, he had fought, screamed done anything to keep the men and women from taking advantage of him. He meet Apollo's eyes, there was an odd little flutter in his stomach, he glanced away. "My...cat....she was a stray. I wanted to bring her with me." Then feeling embarrassed, he smiled awkwardly. "She's my most treasured possession."

Apollo sighs. He was afraid of something like this. Of course he couldn't make the poor dancer with nothing left in his life leave behind his only friend. He sighs again, cursing his own softness. he stands up, "Ok then..." He begins to look around for something, as he is looking he mumbles, "I'll getyour cat, but I... I can't take you with me... I need to know exactly where your room is, so describe it to me the best that you can.... I really hope your cat trusts me because if not, I'm going to be covered with scratches and bitemarks and getting he back down here will be an awkward event.... But it will work out..." He glances back to Dymion, giving him a small trying smile.

Endymion smiled and gave the quickest directions to his room. "Take the south stairs down that hall, my room is on the sixth floor, it's beside the entrance to the private show rooms marked with with a number 8." Dymion puts his hands i n his pockets. "Serene is useally sleeping on my bed, you might have to bribe her.....she's not used to strangers."
Serene was asleep, she was napping on the bed. The black cat wasn't concerned as she was expecting her companion to come at any moment. She yawned, showing a red mouth filled with white sharp teeth, then settled back down again. Her ear picked up the sound of footsteps coming closer, then the door opening, she looked up to see a stranger walk into the room. Meowing inquisitively, Serene sat up on her hunches.

As Apollo entered the room, it was quietly as well as swiftly. He didn't want to be seen. If he was, he would have a good excuse backed up. But he didn't want to have to use it. He pulls the door to a silent close behind him and gazes in at the cat. He catches its gaze for a moment. The cat was.... like the boy.... there was an odd familiarity there. He hadn't been able to figure it out, but it all seemed so very very familiar. He steps in slowly, keeping eye contact, his face soft of peaceful as he watched the cat. This would be tricky. Cats were always skitish of strangers and the task of carrying it back down to Endymion was weighing heavily now. He extends his hand slowly, offering it to the cat, knowing it would have to sniff him before it would let him do anything peacefully. ((question.... does she remember Apollo from before or is her memory totally erased?))

(( No, she wouldn't remeber Apollo or any of the other Gods.))
She sniffed his fingers, ears twiching and the black tail flicking around in agitiation. His smell seemed familer.....somehow, The black cat licked the finger with a raspy pink tounge.
Endymion couldn't help but count the minutes since Apollo had left to get Serene. He was pacing around the room, feeling the momets pass slowly by. The cat was important to him , she was his only firend for as long has he's been here. Serene was a stray that had wandered in the buliding to get away from the cold. Endymion wasn't sure who befriened whom, it just seemed as the cat had been a little wary of him and yet drawn to him. Some food had allowed him to get close enough to pet her, soon after, She would offen come to vist him whenever he was in his room.
