It's still a really good series though. 51 episodes and 1 movie. Now there's another series where the timeline is somewhere in the middle of the first.

If you do start from the beginning, after it shows the part where they bring chase down the sound 4, you can pretty much skip straight to shippuden without losing any real storyline.

There might one or two storyline episodes after that, but yeah, after that is pretty much just filler.

wow. o_o all those episodes and hardly any of them are storyline...ill remember that. as long as i know the storyline then i won't miss out on anything right? xD

Yep. I suggest you read the manga instead of watching the anime though. The manga is the storyline. So you don't have to worry about fillers.
