Alistair smiled at Rauvn. "Ah, this old thing..." She carefully carressed the leather bound book. "I believe I wrote this within my first twenty years of life, just after my becoming a vampire I believe." She smiled at the archaic cover. "Most of them are based in truth. The last of the Druids and such." She sighed, for they were not the last, merely the last known. The Druids still existed, but they were fewer and fewer all the time. She the hint of sadness that always seemed to be in her eyes was all the more visible, only, now it was as if it were all encompassing.

Rauvn noticed the change in her eyes and decided to tread carefully. He did not want to upset her. "Hmm, history. Intriguing." A soft smile spread across his lips. "Are you going to allow me to read that?"

She blinked and then blushed, "Well, I suppose so. You may like it if you like your history. Do you know anything about the Druids, Sir Rauvn?" she asked with a sort of level voice that implied no curiosity, but there was such sadness there. She gave him a careful smile as she handed over the parchment. The leather bound book was very important to her, yet she knew she could trust him with it's secrets.

He took the parchment delicately, being careful not to harm it. He glanced at her surreptitiously, noting the fact that she had blushed. "I know that they worshipped nature, if my mind serves me correctly." His smile endured. "I promise you that no harm will befall the book while it is under my care."

She smiled, "Now your knowledge will broaden on their finer workings in the nematons. I still revere nature in the highest degree. However, my soul belongs to god and I stoped working with the enchantments." She sighed softly at the memory of those happier times. The times when it was all so much easier and nothing seemed to stand in her way of being with herself.

"The enchantments? Intriguing." He looks to Alistair, curiousity and fascination mirrored in his eyes. She surely has an intriguing past. One that I would like to unravel. "I think I shall thoroughly enjoy this book, my lady." He casts a grin at Alistair as his fingers glide over the cover of the book.

She smiled at him. "Perhaps...and perhaps not. It all depends on circumstance, I suppose." She languidly walked over to her cousin and sat down. Her eyes traveled over the various tapestries with a sort of brilliant eye. The clarity in the most tormented sea seamed to give way to her sight. Then, she sighed, her eyes closing as she clasped her hands together in her lap, her back straight and her legs crossed.

Having walked through the seemingly neverending halls of the coven, she found herself before a door that looked so different. Tilting her head slightly she stepped closer and knocked on the door. "Hello?" she called.

Even as the door knocked, she knew who it was. With a smile, she stood and walked over to the door. "Lyra!" she cried as she opened the door. "My dear Lady Lyra! It has been a while, hasn't it my dear." Alistair smiled all the more and then towed her within the room. "Sir Rauvn, this is Lyra!" She smiled again showing off the taller woman.

The smile that she gave Rauvn was one of a shy nature. She blushed neatly. Her hands immediately went to the sides of her dress and she dipped neatly as she said, "Nice to meet you, Sir Rauvn." Then, she straightened herself again, the red dress's fablric swayed around her thighs. She smiled again and gave Alistair's hand a squeeze. "I've missed you, my dear....I most certainly have!"

Alistair smiled at her and neatly lead her over to the pillows. "Here, dear, have a seat! Let's not go another century without seeing eachother, eh?" she laughed abit, the shadows clinging tightly to her eyes as she relaxed herself into the pillow.

Smiling at Lyra and bowing his head in greetings, Rauvn glanced to Alistair. I'm afraid that I must bow out. You know my nature. A slight grimace passes his lips momentarily before his smile resumed and he looked back to Lyra. "A pleasure to meet you, but I'm afraid that I must be off. Alistair, Lyral.", he said, bowing to each in turn. He then left out the door, closing it softly behind him.

Alistair shot him a sideways glance and nodded. Then, smiling she nodded again, "Very well, I hope you enjoy that book." Once the door was closed she turned to Lyra. "Oh, sweet Lyra, how have you been?"

Lyra smiled at Rauvn as he left. "Farewell, Sir Rauvn." Then she turned her attention back to her old friend. "I've been quite well, I should think....slept for a while. This is a very interesting age, is it not?"

"That it is, my old friend, that it is....How long have you been in New York?" Alistair asked her friend. They'd known eachother for the better of five hundred years. "I've been here for a few months I think, but I'm no longer all so sure."
