He had not expected her to cry and felt responsible for bringing it on. This female was so confusing, but he needed to make things right, she shouldn't be crying. Surprised he was, to be talking so much with someone he had just met, though he did not have many friends anyway. Raist wondered if she had ever told another this, it surprised him. She was such a nice taur and quite pretty looking. "I am sorry, though that was only one male." One hand still holding her chin, the other came to her face and whipped away some tears. "Just to let you know, I am most certainly not gay at all. And also, I quite like you Vesna." Though her eyes were closed he smiled, never had he been so bold. What he said was not to just get her to stop crying, that he hoped she would see.

"I know. He was just one, but he was the only one. Ever." Her breath became shaky as she felt her tears brushed away. Then it stopped all together at his confession, her eyes snapping open. She looked at him a minute before her breath gasped back into her lungs.
"Don't be silly." She muttered, turning her head. "All I've done so far is make a fool of myself." She brushed at her own tears roughly. "At least me liking you makes sense. You're sweet, so patient with me, incredibly handsome, and you don't burst into tears at a moments notice. I've just been acting like a child this entire time."

A sigh escaped his lips, this female just seemed quite dense sometimes. He noticed her tears had stopped at least and that finally her eyes opened. Raist rose a brow for a moment, how to get through to this one... "I assure you that I am not being silly at all." He smiled a bit, hoping to reassure her. Taking a moment to take in what she had said about him. "Perhaps, is there anything I could do to prove so? I don't think you have been acting like a child."

After blurting out what she thought of him, Vesna felt like digging a hole and burying herself. The only thing keeping her from bolting was that he was still speaking, and she was still hovering around every word, each one precious to her ears.
Her head turned slowly back, eyes flicking bashfully between Raist and the ground. She certainly felt like a child... She started giggling when he asked for a way to prove himself. "You seem rather determined to pull me out of this hole I'm digging for myself." She said, brushing at the remaining wetness around her eyes and cheeks. "There's... there's a field a short walk from here. I've hidden a garden there to keep my brother and sister from running through it like they did the one back home." She looked in the direction of the garden, then back to Raist. "Would you..." Would he really? "- like to join me there? We could make a salad and eat."
There! She'd offered dinner! Vesna almost felt proud of herself.

Raist could only smile, he felt bad that she was feeling so confused and embarrassed. Though he was hoping that she wouldn't ask for him to go away. He chuckled some when she looked away bashfully, laughing herself. "That I am, truthfully I hope that you don't ask me to leave." He grinned a bit. "I'd love to see your garden, I bet it is as lovely as you." Quite relieved he was when she asked him to go with him. "A salad sounds wonderful."

Vesna blinked in suprise. Had he called her lovely? She almost wanted to cry from the happy feeling he gave her, but fought it off figuring she'd done enough crying for one day.
"I'd have to be even sillier than silly to ask you to leave." She said softly as she put the vest away again, a grin fighting to erupt on her face. After making sure her spare water skin was full, she stood up and gave Raist a half smile, cheeks flushed with excitement. "Shall we then?"

A smile crossed his face at her surprised look. He wasn't one to lie and wouldn't start now. "Would you? You quite like that word don't you." His hand had left her chin, seeing that she may hold it up on her own now. After she stood up, he followed suit. Raist smiled as well when she smiled, finally a smile from her! "Lead the way."

"Well, it is a rather versatile word. Can have different levels of meanings." She said bashfully.
Walking on, she walked through some high bushes, then pushed her way under a line of crabb apple trees. The clearing was small, but it was able to hold a garden and still leave a sitting space. After throwing down a blanket, Vesna knelt in the garden, picking a bit of everything. Setting the harvest on the blanket, she grabbed a clay pot laying around and set it in the center. "Pick what you like and toss it in." She said, her slight smile returning as she tore some lettuce and tossed it into the bowl.

Raist just grinned at her and didn't reply. As she walked he followed, not behind her but more to the side for he didn't know of where they were heading. The little clearing was nice and he could see that it was well cared for. At her words he nodded and looked around at what there was in the garden. He grabbed a few things and brought them to the clay pot. "These good?" He motioned to the carrots, tomatoes and other few things he collected.

Vesna nodded. "Yes, those will be fine." She looked around, scratched her head, then shuffled through her back and pulled out a small hunting knife. "You can cut those with this. I don't usually keep kitchen stuff here." Once she thought there was enough lettuce, she started todding in the few early berries she'd spotted.

Deciding that he did pick well enough things for the salad, he set them down. Raist's head nodded and he took the knife from her. Kneeling near the stuff he had set down, he started to cut some of it up and added it to the lettuce. "So how many know of this delightful garden?"

Vesna tossed in the last of the berries, contemplating how to cut the next veggie. "Just me. My fa... parents... are too busy with the kids to do this so out of the way. Well, they know of it, but they couldn't find it. My siblings don't follow me around very often, so it's safer from their little paws this way." She said with a smirk. "Besides, I don't have magic, so I'm not very interesting." She cocked her head, not thinking that she might have just confused him about the magic part. "Do you have brothers or sisters?"

Raistlin glanced at her for a moment when she put the rest of the berries in. "Well I'm honored to be the first guest here. How old are your siblings?" He had guessed that perhaps the siblings had never been there, they would have left some measure of disarray if they had. The magic comment had thrown him a bit off guard. "Magic?" His head shook. "None, I've been on my own for quite some time."

Vesna had to smile. Honored? That made her little garden sound fancy. "They're just children. They're getting big though, almost teens." She blinked a couple times, then laughed softly. "Magic. Yeah. My family is made up of cattaurs. My father found me when I was just a baby and took me in. Then he found a mate and then came the kids." She smirked bashfully. "Hence, me being the boring one of the group. Even my grandfather has magic. He's actually a naga, so I'm really boring to them."

"Perhaps when they are a bit older, you can share this place with them. At that age they should be past tendencies to cause havoc here." Raist smiled but rose a brow when she explained where magic came it. Cattaurs were know for that. "I think you are plenty interesting despite magic, I have none myself either. You are not boring at all. Magic would never give any of them a garden such as this."
