"Thank you, that's very polite of you." Hayaharu responded and gave a small bow of her head before rising to her feet and approaching him. The small smile still lingered on her lips as though she was wholeheartedly amused by the proceedings and very carefully she took the dazed Knight in her hands.

"I have not seen you in a while, Sir Koniryu." She added after a few moments as she glanced down at the orb which seemed to have shifted it's 'eye' towards Koniryu, "Where have you been hiding?" She enquired curiously, aware that she was being somewhat forward but she was used to seeing him around with Reika.

"Are you avoiding us all?"

[****]

"It's very..." Aversham wasn't quite sure how to respond to her question as he gazed about her fort, it was certainly different but he was completely unused to lazing about in the 'wilds' as Hayaharu so fondly nicknamed it - even so, he supposed it was nice.

"Cosy." He replied at last, opting for a 'safe' word as he lifted a wing to pluck and nudge various feathers back into place. Now that he was safe and away from any predators he could take the opportunity to make himself look respectable, especially for the present company he was in.

"It certainly suits you!"

"Yer a guest. Tis only proper to be polite." His look was one that spoken clearly. It said 'What else did you expect from me?' Akiya would have his head if he was rude to people visitng his home. Allowing her to take the familiar, he shrugged a bit before he placed his hands into his sleeve. "Aye, has definately been awhile. I've been here, mostly. Well.. in the forests, to be more precise."

Amused by how the eye was watching him, he picked it up and studied it carefully. How very interesting. "I have nay been hiding. Just there hasn't been a good reason for me to remain at the Pub, so I returned home. Avoiding? Who would I be avoiding?" He looked at her thoughtfully. It wasn't like she missed him or anything, so he couldn't help being curious why she made the comment on it. "Ye look rather well.. other than playing babysitter."

***

"I'm glad ye think so!" She happily clapped her hands when he said it suited her and she made up some tea. "Aye, tis rather cozy. Koni-papa had it made for me.. since he said that keeping me in my glass home was rather unsafe and not good for me..." PLacing a cup near him, she took hers and plopped down close by, her eyes watching how he preened himself. "Tis a lot of space to dance in and such so I'm quite content. Though... I haven't been able to see anyone, so I've been rather lonely. So I'm very happy yer here! I've missed ye a whole lot!"

Still as bold as ever. Normally, she would have hugged him or something, but he was busy and she didn't wish to get in his way.

"Oh I don't know..." Hayaharu allowed Onion to walk across the grass once more and calmly turned her gaze back towards him. Given the circumstances she was going to allow Onion to once again be pursued by the large orb and instead she focused on the deity, "Maybe you would be avoiding me given our past meetings?" She mused softly, reaching out a hand to dra her fingertips along the delicate material of his tunic.

It was a rather forward move but she had always wondered what it was made of and regardless of how gruff the fluffy, green deity was she was sure he would let her do as she pleased...or at least he seemed to have the sense to give a woman what she wanted.

"But thank you for the compliment, I do try despite having to take care of Epee's companions." She murmured softly.

[*****]

"Why haven't you - " He paused as he pulled out a number of feathers and unceremoniously spat them onto the floor sending a rainbow of colours into the air before the soft flight feathers landed at his feet, "Visited then, there would have been plenty of opportunities." He murmured gently, lowering one wing as he lifted another and proceeded to preen it - unsurprisingly they were beginning to look rather well again.

"At least you have a place to dance I suppose, not much of an audience though." He added before his eyes brightened and he released a laugh, "Why don't you enter the dance competitions in Durem!"

He was placing the orb back down, knowing he would be asking Akiya about it later, when he felt her moving closer to him and stood, just watching. He wasn't used to a female coming up to him and touching him, but he wasn't used to a great deal of things. His nature screamed to move away from her touch but he just stood there. Her touch wasn't hurting him or anything so it didn't overly matter to him at the moment.

"Avoiding ye? Nay. Our last meeting hadn't ended negatively. I was just getting tired and wished to return home for a bit. Gives me a bit more time to figure out what exactly I should be doing right now, since going to yer home doesn't seem safe enough yet..." But it was strange that she was touching him like this, considering how they never really had touched at all, usually. "Why did ye agree to watch them? Out of boredom?"

***

Her head tilted more as she watched him pull out all those feathers that were in his way, shifting a bit to pick them up and admire them. Oooh so pretty! "why? Because Koni-papa didn't wanna go back and Uncle Aki's been rather busy. There's truly no one else who can take me and being too far away from Koni-papa hurts me..." Collecting all the feathers, she placed them in a spot so she wouldn't lose them.

"Tis fine not having too many people watching. I get nervous while making up dances if people are staring, ye know." She giggled a bit before she looked rather curious. Her attention was caught. "What competition? Is there a party going on?"

"In part." Hayaharu agreed as she continued to draw her fingertips along the material of his tunic before drawing it upwards to rest on his collar where she took a short while to consider her options before flashing a tentative smile, "In all honesty she had no one else to turn to and I agreed, I rather enjoy the company to be honest." She explained at last before releasing her grasp on his collar so that she could touch at his cheek.

Was his cheek really furry?

She could only stare incredusouly at it as her fingertips brushed against the soft fur, granted she had known it looked like fur but in some strange way she had always thought that there was no way someone could have a furry face - she had been proved wrong. Again.

Beside herself with a child like curiosity she simply couldn't help herself and without warning she lifted herself on to the tips of her toes and rather abruptly (yet gently) tugged at his ear to check that it was real as opposed to just a trick of the eye!

[*****]

"Ah..." Aversham had forgotten that being distant from the summoner was inclined to cause pain to most Elysians or some form of illness, he had never experienced this as he had be summoned in one of the most unusual and perhaps unique ways - his summoner hadn't been there and thus the special bond had never been properly forged, the only one he needed was Onion.

"Well," Snapping out of his own thoughts he gave a chuckle and delicately lowered his head so that he was level with the light Elysian, "The Festival is in Durem, there are plenty of competitions but it's basically a large party - everyone is going apparently."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 23, 2006 2:22 pm

"Hmm.." Well that was a rather straight forward answer so he nodded to it. It did make sense to him. And why was she still touching him? "As long as ye seem happy about it..." his eyes narrowed a bit as she touched his cheek and he shifted a bit, that much contact he wasn't exactly pleased with. Was there a purpose behind her actions or was she just touching him because she could. He knew that he was lightly furry... but then again, being as he was, it was pretty much expected to have some kind of fur on his body.

".... Do ye mind?" His ear flicked as she tugged on his ear and he offically moved away from her, needing to put space between them. "I do believe that's quite enough of that." Displeasure was obvious on his face as his ears flicked in annoyance. "Did ye just now realize that I'm not human? Tis not a glimmer, Madam... but tis me natural appearance."

****

She only nodded a bit before she rubbed her chin and studied Aversham more closely. Now that she thought about it, she always found him without a summoner but always with Onion. Did he not have a summoner or something? "I guess yer one of the lucky ones without a summoner, neh? I dinnae ever see ye with one, just Onion. But.. then who is that boy yer always with. Is he yer summoner?" If he had told her before, she could quite recall, though she wasn't entirely stupid. Just back then, she learned so many new things so quickly all the info was slightly jumbled in her head.

Shifting into a more comfortable position, she watched him closely as he explained the festival to her. "Ooooh it sounds like fun! I've never really beedn to such a big sounding party and if there's a place where I can dance, I don't see how tis a bad idea! Maybe we can get Koni-papa to come!" She was practically vibrating at the thought of going. "So yer going too, aye?"

"Yes, I noticed that." Hayaharu replied coolly as she slipped her hand back into her sleeve as if nothing had happened and with an unearthly calmness, turned her gaze back towards the Omungda who's eye was once again focused on her as though in a thoughtful manner...

Even so, it eventually seemed to decide against using her as a bowling pin and calmly rolled away once more in pursuit of Onion who was by now, examining another plant - she gave it five minutes before she had to come and rescue the orange armoured knight.

Still, she really shouldn't have been surprised by his reaction. Afterall, within Shoichi she was there to be seen and touched tentatively while she was meant to refrain from touching the client as much as possible.

Hmph.

She could only narrow her eyes at this.

[****]

"Exodus?" Aversham furrowed his brow slightly and gave a nod as her assumptions were right, "He was meant to be my summoner but we couldn't find him by the time I was ready to emerge." He explained softly and gave a slight shrug, "He was also dreadfully young so he couldn't understand...thus, although we have a bond it is not one that requires both of us to be joined together permanently - I know he is there if I need him." He finished and cleared his throat.

"As to the festival, of course I will be coming, I would never miss it for the world!" He chirped merrily before flashing an avian smile (which was more a twinkle of the eye), "Besides, I want to see you dance."

It had nothing to do with her personally, his reaction. He just didn't like being touched much. It was something that he always had, even before he came to Gaia in the first place. He wasn't even really that close to the other Gods.. as far as he recalled and he never really touched them a lot either. Or wanted to be touched period. He had been find with her touching his outfit because that was all it was. Touching the fabric. But touching his face and then his ears made him uncomfortable. Why would she wish to touch him in this sort of way now, after such a length of time?

Women were vastly confusing creatures... But she seemed to be pouting over it, or sulking.. whatever women did, and he looked away. Silence was something that was typical between the two of them and by now, he was used to it. But he looked up at the sky after a moment or two and frowned to himself. It was time to collect Reika and head back inside. "If ye will excuse me. I won't trouble ye with me presence." He inclined his head to her before he headed towards the garden. He knew Reika's schedule by now and knew she'd be at her fort.

***

"Aye aye, Exodus! His name always seemed to escape me for some reason." She rubbed her cheek nervously before she listened to his story, rocking slightly back in forth. "Oooooh..." Her lips were formed into that soft circle as she nodded slowly. That made a whole lot of sense then! In a way, that was kinda nifty to her but she didn't say that, for fear that it would come across as rude.

A soft blush appeared on her face when he said he wanted to see her dance. Why she blushed, she didn't quite understand and she lightly scratched her nose. "I've been practicing... I dinnae see why not. It sounds like it'll be fun!" Also sounded like a lot of people, so she hoped Koni wouldn't try to keep them as far away from everything as he always did... "So..w hen does it start?"

Ah.

He was going to get Reika? That would mean he would run into Aversham who was in that fort with her and Hayaharu knew that Koniryu did not appreciate the company of the firebird around his beloved summon.

And so, it was with a somewhat exasperated sigh that she gathered her courage and promptly darted after him, leaping into the air with surprisingly agility as she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist from behind.

"You can't go!" She announced in an unusually high voice.

[****]

"When?" Aversham gave a small chirp and his demeanor warmed as he noticed her blush. It was truly endearing to watch her become so very flustered everytime he complimented her but it just added to the appeal and his ever growing necessity to see her...she was practically the only Elysian he ever sought out to converse with!

"It has already started." He replied softly and released a chuckle as he shifted his weigh, his left talon becoming somewhat stiff due to how he had been lying, "It has been on for the last two days or so but Hayaharu has not taken the trip via the train to rich Durem yet - she intended to go tomorrow."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 23, 2006 4:09 pm

he had been lightly rubbing an antler when he was suddenly held from being, his eyes widening. "Wh-?!" He didn't even really have time to try to get used to the situation when she stated that he couldn't go. "Excuse me?" it felt vastly uncomfortable to have such a weight on his back for any reason. Not that she was fat, but no one jumped onto him. Ever. For any reason. And there were a lot of people in Homegrounds who liked to glomp on people for no more reason than because they could.

"And why can I nay go?" He had to collect Reika now, so why was she getting in the way? Wait... that bird. Didn't she mention something about how Aversham had wanted to come here? Slowly, he straightened. "Ah.. so that bird is with Reika..." Why else would Haya jump onto him for?

***

"It's already started?!" Giving a tiny wail, she stood up and hurried over to what looked like a tiny dresser. "Oh dear! I have no time to get ready!!" It was rather obvious that she was fretting by how she opened several drawers and started flinging costumes around. Now where had she put that outfit?!

"Then I need to ask Koni-papa now! He'll be coming to get me soon, I think.. tis about that time..." She looked thoughtful before she found the outfit and purred. "I wanna go! I'm sure he'll let me if I ask him!" She wanted to go out again. They've been home for along time so it was only fair, right?

"Bird? I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about Sir!" Hayaharu murmured faintly as she relaxed her grip on his neck but still maintained her hold for balance because there was no way she was going to let him turn her companion into a roast dinner, it would be such a waste of plummage!

"It's just, I've come to realise something - "She cleared her throat and took a few seconds to regather and arrange her thoughts before at last off loading the calculated statement onto him and, she sounded like she meant every single word of it, "And that, is that I know nothing about you but I'd miss you even if we'd never met!" She furrowed a brow behind his back and fixed her gaze on his twitching ears thoughtfully.

"So...can't we take the opportunity to go for a little walk, once in a life time opportunity and you did say the forests were very beautiful so why don't you show me?" She announced breathlessly.

[****]

"Ready?" Aversham lookd startled as clothes began to fall around his head, it really was a sea of colours and it was only after a few moments that he released a soft, fond laugh and hopped towards her, placing his wing tip against her shoulder so that he could turn her towards the mirror - unsurprisingly he looked absolutely sincere.

"Reika, you are already ready....an outfit will never make you any prettier than you already are, you already surpass many in the realms of beauty." He cleared his throat and with a sigh seemed to turn his head towards the 'door', "If you like we could look for him?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 24, 2006 12:54 am

"...." His ears twitched in annoyance at her pretend ignorance but he had been in a good mood and didn't exactly wish to lose it over something like this. He couldn't quite explain why he disliked Aversham so much. He just did and that was good enough for him. He refused to allow anyone to confuse Reika and she was easy to baffle.

After her bold statement, he was rather still and his head tilted to the side. What sort of nonsense was she spouting now? What was all this about messing him even if they had never met? Looking over his shoulder at her finally, he sighed heavily because he knew what she was up to, he shifted his shoulders uncomfortably. "If ye will get off, then I suppose so... no offense, but I'm uncomfortable with people on my back..." There were reasons for it though.

***

If she had known that her clothing was falling onto Aversham's head, she would have apologized a hundred times over. But she had been so focused on trying to find the outfit, nothing else seemed to penetrate her mind. Least, not until he touched her shoulder and she looked up in startlement. Her eyes shifted over to the mirror and his words made her cheeks turn a darker shade of red before they looked down.

It was easy to tell her was being honest with her and that meant so much to her. "T-Thank ye... yer words are very kind..." Shyly wringing her hands together, she look towards the door at his sigh, wondering why he was doing so. "Nay, there's no need for it. He comes here for me whenever tis time to go back inside.. I'm supposed to wait here." She nodded gently. "There are many people who come into the gardens sometimes and tis easy to overlook me.. so to make sure nothing happens, I stay here."

"Great!" She promptly did as she was told and dropped from his back, her robes once again embracing and shrouding her limbs from view as she tugged both her hands into her sleeves - it wasn't as if she would have expected him to carry her everywhere but usually clinging to someone made them stop and listen for the simply reason that they simply did not have the desire to humiliate themselves by walking into a group with a random woman clung to them.

"I knew you would come around." She mused, smiling brighly as she flicked her gaze briefly towards the forest and then towards Onion who was brandishing his butter knife at the Omungda which appeared to be preparing to roll on top of him again.

"Onion, I am going for a walk - stay out of trouble!"

[****]

"You are supposed to wait here." He repeated quietly, seemingly troubled by this as he shook his head from side to side, "Do you ever do something for yourself?" He murmured almost sadly before ruffling his wings and stepping away from the mirror, well, it was more of a hop and a bounce but he really didn't care how he moved.

"Or do you prefer being told what to do, where and when you can't go..." He clicked his jaw at this one, evidently a little irritated by the thought that Koniryu never let her go anywhere and he had had to come to this place to find her with the added risk of being turned into a roast dinner because of it.

"If he is coming soon then it would be best that I departed."
PostPosted: Sat Jun 24, 2006 11:02 am

Thankful for her getting off his back, he straightened and rolled his shoulders a couple of time. Sometimes, he seriously wondered in that woman had mental issues. This was why he kept telling Akiya that he would never understand women. They acted one way one second and then do a complete mood switch you the next. It was freaky to say the least.

Meh, he had better things to do than walk this woman around his home, which she had insultingly called a jungle. But whatever. Obviously, she was stalling so he didn't kill that stupid bird. It was hard enough trying to figure out how to take care of Reika without Aversham filling her head with things... "This way then..." He then took her along one of the well paved paths through the forests. There was one place that he hoped she might like.

***

The way he spoke caused her to lose her smile completely before she looked at him with a lost expression. "Aye.. I dinnae know the way home from here.. tis easy for me to get lost in the gardens..." Koni had only began to pick her up because she had stubbornly said that she could do it herself and then got lost for three days. Koni said to spare that ever happening again, he would come pick her up and take her home. The gardens were scary in the dark. "I do things for myself all the time. Koni-papa's nay a monster or anything..."

"Not everyone is gifted with yer kind of freedom, Aversham... I'm not completely caged here or anything. But I dinnae know how to get from here to Turtle's by meself and I need help. It's not like I can fly where I wish to go.. just because I stay here so I don't get trapped outside in the scary dark like last time... it doesn't mean I suddenly only do as someone else instructs me..." Her voice was quiet, but it was easy to tell he had upset her with his words. Was he trying to say she was a baby? And since she still didn't quite understand why he seemed irritated, she felt hurt by his words. It sounded like he was mad at Koni for him coming to pick her up! How was that very nice? "......" Clearly upset by how he was acting, she looked away from him and went to cover up her mirror with a huge sheet it was used for. ".... if ye wish...." She had wanted him to stay with her and keep her company but if he was just going to leave, then she couldn't stop him. Koni-papa said it was rude. And she didn't wish to be rude, no matter how much she wanted him to stay with her longer. "I would hate for Koni-papa to get mad at ye being here.... thank ye for visiting me.... it means a lot to me....."

Rubbing at her eyes to try not to cry, she lowered her arms and went to pick up cups and such. Better clean up so she wouldn't have to do it later.. or she forgot again, as she tended to.

Hayaharu maintained her silence as she followed after the deity, instead turning her attentions to each of the trees and flowers she passed. Deep down, she hoped that Aversham would have already departed by now but she could only hope and with a delicate sigh she could only wait for the tell tale song of the Phoenix above her head.

Nevertheless, Koniryu and she would not be alone for as the small creature within her pocket began to glow the Omungda unceremoniously began to roll after her - this was all very well but it began to resemble something out of a comedy sketch when it was discovered that Onion was standing (or rather running) on top of it to keep up.

Had Aversham been here he would have laughed hysterically for the puffing and weezing knight was clearly unfit and the Omungda's eye appeared to be delighted at his huffs and puffs!

[****]

"You can fly." He murmured simply as he hopped towards the door before reverting to the traditional 'strut' of a bird. He seemed to prefer that as opposed to resembling a mini song bird hopping about the grass in a back garden...he liked to appear dignified despite his size.

"But it was a pleasure, Lady Reika; as always." He gave a small, curt nod of his head and skillfully opened the door with his right talon, balancing carefully on the left to ensure he didn't fall over.

"Perhaps I shall see you at the Festival, if not...perhaps in the future." He added before slipping outside.
